Stability for multivalued McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations

The work concerns multivalued McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations. First of all, we prove the existence and uniqueness of strong solutions for multivalued McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations with non-Lipschitz coefficients. Then, the classical Itô's formula is extended to that for multivalued McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations. Finally, the asymptotic stability of second moments and the almost surely asymptotic stability for their solutions in terms of a Lyapunov function are shown.

Deviation estimates for multivalued McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations

The work concerns deviation estimates for multivalued McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations. First of all, we prove the large deviation principle for them by the weak convergence approach. Then the central limit theorem for them is shown with the help of a formula for $L$-derivatives. Finally, we establish the moderate deviation principle for them.

Uniqueness and superposition of the space-distribution dependent Zakai equations

The work concerns the space-distribution dependent Zakai equations from nonlinear filtering problems of McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations with correlated noises. First of all, we establish the space-distribution dependent Kushner-Stratonovich equations and the space-distribution dependent Zakai equations. Then, the pathwise uniqueness of their strong solutions is shown. Finally, we prove a superposition principle between the space-distribution dependent Zakai equations and space-distribution dependent Fokker-Planck equations. As a by-product, we give some conditions under which space-distribution dependent Fokker-Planck equations have weak solutions.

Convergence of nonlinear filterings for multiscale systems with correlated Lévy noises

In the paper, we consider nonlinear filtering problems of multiscale systems in two cases-correlated sensor Lévy noises and correlated Lévy noises. First of all, we prove that the slow part of the origin system converges to the homogenized system in the uniform mean square sense. And then based on the convergence result, in the case of correlated sensor Lévy noises, the nonlinear filtering of the slow part is shown to approximate that of the homogenized system in $L^1$ sense. However, in the case of correlated Lévy noises, we prove that the nonlinear filtering of the slow part converges weakly to that of the homogenized system.

Coupled McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations with jumps

This work concerns a type of coupled McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations (MVSDEs in short) with jumps. First, we prove superposition principles for these coupled MVSDEs with jumps and non-local space-distribution dependent Fokker-Planck equations. Since superposition principles are related to the well-posedness of weak solutions for coupled MVSDEs with jumps, then we give some conditions to assure it. After this, we construct space-distribution valued Markov processes associated with these coupled MVSDEs with jumps. Finally, the ergodicity of these coupled MVSDEs with jumps are investigated. As a by-product, we show the exponential ergodicity for a type of MVSDEs with jumps.

Effective Filtering for Multiscale Stochastic Dynamical Systems driven by Lévy processes

The work is about multiscale stochastic dynamical systems driven by Lévy processes. First, we prove that these systems can approximate low-dimensional systems on random invariant manifolds. Second, we establish that nonlinear filterings of multiscale stochastic dynamical systems also approximate that of reduced low-dimensional systems. Finally, we investigate the reduction for $\e=0$ and obtain that these reduced systems does not approximate these multiscale stochastic dynamical systems.

Euler-Maruyama Approximations for Stochastic McKean-Vlasov Equations with Non-Lipschitz Coefficients

In this paper we study a type of stochastic McKean-Vlasov equations with non-Lipschitz coefficients. Firstly, by an Euler-Maruyama approximation existence of its weak solutions is proved. And then we observe pathwise uniqueness of its weak solutions. Finally, it is shown that the Euler-Maruyama approximation has an optimal strong convergence rate.

Limit theorems of SDEs driven by Lévy processes and application to nonlinear filtering problems

In this paper we study the convergence of solutions for (possibly degenerate) stochastic differential equations driven by Lévy processes, when the coefficients converge in some appropriate sense. First, we prove, by means of a superposition principle, a limit theorem of stochastic differential equations driven by Lévy processes. Then we apply the result to a type of nonlinear filtering problems and obtain the convergence of the nonlinear filterings.

Nonlinear filtering of stochastic differential equations driven by correlated Lévy noises

The work concerns nonlinear filtering problems of stochastic differential equations with correlated Lévy noises. First, we establish the Kushner-Stratonovich and Zakai equations through martingale representation theorems and the Kallianpur-Striebel formula. Second, we show the pathwise uniqueness and uniqueness in joint law of weak solutions for the Zakai equation. Finally, we investigate the uniqueness in joint law of weak solutions to the Kushner-Stratonovich equation.

Parameter estimation of path-dependent McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations

The work concerns a class of path-dependent McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations with unknown parameters. First, we prove the existence and uniqueness of these equations under non-Lipschitz conditions. Second, we construct maximum likelihood estimators of these parameters and then discuss their strong consistency. Third, a numerical simulation method for the class of path-dependent McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations is offered. Moreover, we estimate the errors between solutions of these equations and that of their numerical equations. Finally, we give an example to explain our result.

Path independence of the additive functionals for McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations with jumps

In this article, the path independent property of additive functionals of McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations with jumps is characterised by nonlinear partial integro-differential equations involving $L$-derivatives with respect to probability measures introduced by P.-L. Lions. Our result extends the recent work [16] by Ren and Wang where their concerned McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations are driven by Brownian motions.

Stability for Stochastic McKean-Vlasov Equations with Non-Lipschitz Coefficients

In this paper we consider the stability for a type of stochastic McKean-Vlasov equations with non-Lipschitz coefficients. First, sufficient conditions are given for the exponential stability of the second moments for their solutions in terms of a Lyapunov function. Then we weaken the conditions and furthermore obtain exponentially 2-ultimate boundedness of their solutions. After this, the almost surely asymptotic stability of their solutions is proved. Finally we give an example to motivate the choice of Lyapunov functions.

Superposition principles for the Zakai equations and the Fokker-Planck equations on measure spaces

The work concerns the superposition between the Zakai equations and the Fokker-Planck equations on measure spaces. First, we prove a superposition principle for the Fokker-Planck equations on $\mR^\mN$ under the integrable condition. And then by means of it, we show two superposition principles for the weak solutions of the Zakai equations from the nonlinear filtering problems and the weak solutions of the Fokker-Planck equations on measure spaces. As a by-product, we give some weak conditions under which the Fokker-Planck equations can be solved in the weak sense.

Support theorems for degenerate stochastic differential equations with jumps and applications

In the paper, we are concerned with degenerate stochastic differential equations with jumps. Firstly, we establish two support theorems for the solutions of the degenerate stochastic equations, under different (sufficient) conditions. Secondly, we apply one of our support theorems to a class of degenerate stochastic evolution equations (i.e., infinite-dimensional stochastic differential equations) with jumps to get a characterisation of path-independence for the densities of their Girsanov transformations.

A Global Map of Suitability for Coastal Vibrio cholerae Under Current and Future Climate Conditions

Vibrio cholerae is a globally distributed water-borne pathogen that causes severe diarrheal disease and mortality, with current outbreaks as part of the seventh pandemic. Further understanding of the role of environmental factors in potential pathogen distribution and corresponding V. cholerae disease transmission over time and space is urgently needed to target surveillance of cholera and other climate and water-sensitive diseases. We used an ecological niche model (ENM) to identify environmental variables associated with V. cholerae presence in marine environments, to project a global model of V. cholerae distribution in ocean waters under current and future climate scenarios. We generated an ENM using published reports of V. cholerae in seawater and freely available remotely sensed imagery. Models indicated that factors associated with V. cholerae presence included chlorophyll-a, pH, and sea surface temperature (SST), with chlorophyll-a demonstrating the greatest explanatory power from variables selected for model calibration. We identified specific geographic areas for potential V. cholerae distribution. Coastal Bangladesh, where cholera is endemic, was found to be environmentally similar to coastal areas in Latin America. In a conservative climate change scenario, we observed a predicted increase in areas with environmental conditions suitable for V. cholerae. Findings highlight the potential for vulnerability maps to inform cholera surveillance, early warning systems, and disease prevention and control.

Asymptotic methods for stochastic dynamical systems with small non-Gaussian Lévy noise

The goal of the paper is to analytically examine escape probabilities for dynamical systems driven by symmetric $α$-stable Lévy motions. Since escape probabilities are solutions of a type of integro-differential equations (i.e., differential equations with nonlocal interactions), asymptotic methods are offered to solve these equations to obtain escape probabilities when noises are sufficiently small. Three examples are presented to illustrate the asymptotic methods, and asymptotic escape probability is compared with numerical simulations.

Stationary Measures for Stochastic Differential Equations with Jumps

In the paper, stationary measures of stochastic differential equations with jumps are considered. Under some general conditions, existence of stationary measures is proved through Markov measures and Lyapunov functions. Moreover, for two special cases, stationary measures are given by solutions of Fokker-Planck equations and long time limits for the distributions of system states.

Escape Probability for Stochastic Dynamical Systems with Jumps

The escape probability is a deterministic concept that quantifies some aspects of stochastic dynamics. This issue has been investigated previously for dynamical systems driven by Gaussian Brownian motions. The present work considers escape probabilities for dynamical systems driven by non-Gaussian Lévy motions, especially symmetric $α$-stable Lévy motions. The escape probabilities are characterized as solutions of the Balayage-Dirichlet problems of certain partial differential-integral equations. Differences between escape probabilities for dynamical systems driven by Gaussian and non-Gaussian noises are highlighted. In certain special cases, analytic results for escape probabilities are given.

Topological equivalence for discontinuous random dynamical systems and applications

After defining non-Gaussian Lévy processes for two-sided time, stochastic differential equations with such Lévy processes are considered. Solution paths for these stochastic differential equations have countable jump discontinuities in time. Topological equivalence (or conjugacy) for such an Itô stochastic differential equation and its transformed random differential equation is established. Consequently, a stochastic Hartman-Grobman theorem is proved for the linearization of the Itô stochastic differential equation. Furthermore, for Marcus stochastic differential equations, this topological equivalence is used to prove existence of global random attractors.
