Nontopological Soliton in the Polyakov Quark Meson Model

Within a mean field approximation, we study a nontopological soliton solution of the Polyakov quark-meson model in the presence of a fermionic vacuum term with two flavors at finite temperature and density. The profile of the effective potential exhibits a stable soliton solution below a critical temperature $T\leq T_χ^c$ for both the crossover and the first-order phase transitions, and these solutions are calculated here with appropriate boundary conditions. However, it is found that only if $T\leq T^c_d$,the energy of the soliton $M_N$ is less than the energy of the three free constituent quarks $3M_q$. As $T> T^c_d$, there is an instant delocalization phase transition from hadron matter to quark matter. The phase diagram together with the location of a critical end point (CEP) has been obtained in $T$ and $μ$ plane. We notice that two critical temperatures always satisfy $T^c_d\leq T_χ^c$. Finally, we present and compare the result of thermodynamic pressure at zero chemical potential with lattice data.

On the symmetry improved CJT formalism in the $O(4)$ linear sigma model

By using the symmetry improved CJT effective formalism developed by Pilaftsis and Teresi, the chiral phase transition is reconsidered in the framework of the $O(4)$ linear sigma model in chiral limit. Our results confirm the restorations of the second-order phase transition and the Goldstone theorem in the Hartree approximation. Finally, we explicitly calculate the effective potentials via the order parameter for various temperatures and address advantages of the present method in comparison with the $O(N)$ model in large-$N$ approximation.

Chiral soliton model at finite temperature and density

In mean field approximation, we study a chiral soliton of the linear sigma model with two flavors at finite temperature and density. The stable soliton solutions are calculated with some appropriate boundary conditions. Energy and radius of the soliton are determined in a hot medium of constituent quarks. It is found that for $T<T_c$, the energy of the soliton $E^*$ is less than the energy of three constituent quarks $3M_q$, but with the increasing of temperature, the difference between $E^*$ and $3M_q$ becomes smaller and smaller, once $T>T_c$, there is a sharp delocalization phase transition from hadron matter to quark matter coincident with the restoration of chiral symmetry. In the transition region, the thermodynamic properties show large discontinuities which is an indication for a first-order phase transition.

Dressed Polyakov loop and flavor dependent phase transitions

The chiral condensate and dressed Polyakov loop at finite temperature and density have been investigated in the framework of Nf = 2+1 Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model with two degenerate u, d quarks and one strange quark. In the case of explicit chiral symmetry breaking with physical quark masses, it is found that the phase transitions for light u, d quarks and s quark are sequentially happened, and the separation between the transition lines for different flavors becomes wider and wider with the increase of baryon density. For each flavor, the pseudo-critical temperatures for chiral condensate and dressed Polyakov loop differ in a narrow transition range in the lower baryon density region, and the two transitions coincide in the higher baryon density region.

Phase diagram and thermodynamics of the Polyakov linear sigma model with three quark flavors

The phase diagram at finite temperature and density is investigated in the framework of the Polyakov linear sigma model (PLSM) with three light quark flavors in the mean field approximation. It is found that in the PLSM, the three phase transitions, i.e, the chiral restoration of $u,d$ quarks, the chiral restoration of $s$ quark, and the deconfinement phase transition are independent. There exists two-flavor quarkyonic phase at low density and three-flavor quarkyonic phase at high density. The critical end point (CEP) which separating the crossover from the first-order line in the PLSM model is located at$(T_E, μ_E)=(188 \mathrm{MeV},139.5 \mathrm{MeV})$. In the transition region the thermodynamic properties and bulk viscosity over entropy density ratio $ζ/s$ are also discussed in the PLSM.

An approach to exact solutions of the time-dependent supersymmetric two-level three-photon Jaynes-Cummings model

By utilizing the property of the supersymmetric structure in the two-level multiphoton Jaynes-Cummings model, an invariant is constructed in terms of the supersymmetric generators by working in the sub-Hilbert-space corresponding to a particular eigenvalue of the conserved supersymmetric generators. We obtain the exact solutions of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation which describes the time-dependent supersymmetric two-level three-photon Jaynes-Cummings model (TLTJCM) by using the invariant-related unitary transformation formulation. The case under the adiabatic approximation is also discussed. Keywords: Supersymmetric Jaynes-Cummings model; exact solutions; invariant theory; geometric phase factor; adiabatic approximation

Exact time-dependent decoherence factor and its adiabatic classical limit

The present paper finds the complete set of exact solutions of the general time-dependent dynamical models for quantum decoherence, by making use of the Lewis-Riesenfeld invariant theory and the invariant-related unitary transformation formulation. Based on this, the general explicit expression for the decoherence factor is then obtained and the adiabatic classical limit of an illustrative example is discussed. The result (i.e., the adiabatic classical limit) obtained in this paper is consistent with what obtained by other authors, and futhermore we obtain the more general results concerning the time-dependent non-adiabatic quantum decoherence. It is shown that the invariant theory is appropriate for treating both the time-dependent quantum decoherence and the geometric phase factor.
