We show that every spherical 2-Dupin submanifold that is not a hypersurface is conformally congruent to the standard embedding of the real, complex, quaternionic or octonionic projective plane. We also classify 2-CPC, 2-umbilical and weakly 2-umbilical submanifolds in space forms.
We show that a complete Euclidean submanifold with minimal index of relative nullity $ν_0>0$ and Ricci curvature with a certain controlled decay must be a $ν_0$-cylinder. This is an extension of the classical Hartman cylindricity theorem.
We prove that complete submanifolds, on which the Omori-Yau weak maximum principle for the Hessian holds, with low codimension and bounded by cylinders of small radius must have points rich in large positive extrinsic curvature. The lower the codimension is, the richer such points are. The smaller the radius is, the larger such curvatures are. This work unifies and generalizes several previous results on submanifolds with nonpositive extrinsic curvature.
In this article we derive a complete classification of all submanifolds in space forms with codimension two for which the Gauss map is homothetic.
