On Free Energy for Deformed JT Gravity

In this paper, we study a particular deformation of the Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity recently considered by Maxfield, Turiaci and independently by Witten. We will compute the partition function of this model as well as its higher order correlators to all orders in genus expansion in the low temperature limit for small perturbations. In this limit, the results match with those obtained from the Airy limit of a Hermitian random matrix ensemble. Using this result, we will also study the free energy of the model. One observes that although the annealed free energy has pathological behaviors, under certain assumptions, the quenched free energy evaluated by replica trick exhibits the desired properties at low temperatures.

Holographic complexity of Born-Infeld gravity

We investigate the duality conjecture "Complexity=Action" (CA) for Born-Infeld (BI) gravity model and derive the growth rate of its action within the Wheeler-DeWitt (WDW) patch, which is believed to be dual to the growth rate of quantum complexity of holographic boundary state. In order to find the correct on-shell action, we use direct variational procedure to find proper boundary and corner terms. We find out that the late-time behavior of holographic complexity is the well-known two times of energy, as expected.

Path Integral Optimization for $T\bar{T}$ Deformation

We use the path integral optimization approach of Caputa, kundu, Miyaji, Takayanagi and Watanabe to find the time slice of geometries dual to vacuum, primary and thermal states in the $T\bar{T}$ deformed two dimensional CFTs. The obtained optimized geometries actually capture the entire bulk which fits well with the integrability and expected UV-completeness of $T\bar{T}$-deformed CFTs. When deformation parameter is positive, these optimized solutions can be reinterpreted as geometries at finite bulk radius, in agreement with a previous proposal by McGough, Mezei and Verlinde. We also calculate the holographic entanglement entropy and quantum state complexity for these solutions. We show that the complexity of formation for the thermofield double state in the deformed theory is UV finite and it depends to the temperature.

Gravitational Couplings on D-brane Revisited

Gravitational couplings in bulk space-time include those terms which are fixed by scattering amplitude of strings and ambiguous terms that are coming from the field redefinitions. These field redefinitions can be fixed in the bulk by ghost-free condition. In this paper we have revised the effective gravitational couplings on D-branes by including the field redefinitions. We find the gravitational effective action up to $α'^2$-order.

On T-duality of $R^2$-corrections to DBI action at all orders of gauge field

Recently, it has been observed that in a T-duality invariant world-volume theory in flat spacetime, all orders of gauge field strength and all orders of the D-brane velocity appear in two specific matrices. Using these two matrices, we construct the world-volume couplings of two massless NSNS states at order $α'^2$ and all orders of the velocity and the gauge field strength, by requiring them to be invariant under the linear T-duality. The standard extension $F\rightarrow F+P[B]$, then produces all orders of the pull-back of B-field into the action. We compare the resulting couplings for zero velocity and gauge field strength, with the $α'^2$ terms of the disk-level S-matrix element of two massless NSNS vertex operators in the presence of a constant background B-field. We have found an exact agreement.

T-duality of D-brane action at order $α'$ in bosonic string theory

In bosonic string theory, it is known that the Buscher rules for the T-duality transformations receive quantum corrections at order $α'$. In this paper, we use the consistency of the gravity couplings on the D-brane effective action at order $α'$, with the above T-duality transformations to find the B-field and the dilaton couplings. We show that these couplings are fully consistent with the corresponding disk-level S-matrix elements in string theory.
