Generic cluster characters

Let $\CC$ be a Hom-finite triangulated 2-Calabi-Yau category with a cluster-tilting object $T$. Under a constructibility condition we prove the existence of a set $\mathcal G^T(\CC)$ of generic values of the cluster character associated to $T$. If $\CC$ has a cluster structure in the sense of Buan-Iyama-Reiten-Scott, $\mathcal G^T(\CC)$ contains the set of cluster monomials of the corresponding cluster algebra. Moreover, these sets coincide if $\mathcal C$ has finitely many indecomposable objects. When $\CC$ is the cluster category of an acyclic quiver and $T$ is the canonical cluster-tilting object, this set coincides with the set of generic variables previously introduced by the author in the context of acyclic cluster algebras. In particular, it allows to construct $\Z$-linear bases in acyclic cluster algebras.

Positivity for Regular Cluster Characters in Acyclic Cluster Algebras

Let $Q$ be an acyclic quiver and let $\mathcal A(Q)$ be the corresponding cluster algebra. Let $H$ be the path algebra of $Q$ over an algebraically closed field and let $M$ be an indecomposable regular $H$-module. We prove the positivity of the cluster characters associated to $M$ expressed in the initial seed of $\mathcal A(Q)$ when either $H$ is tame and $M$ is any regular $H$-module, or $H$ is wild and $M$ is a regular Schur module which is not quasi-simple.

Friezes and a construction of the euclidean cluster variables

Let $Q$ be an euclidean quiver. Using friezes in the sense of Assem-Reutenauer-Smith, we provide an algorithm for computing the (canonical) cluster character associated to any object in the cluster category of $Q$. In particular, this algorithm allows to compute all the cluster variables in the cluster algebra associated to $Q$. It also allows to compute the sum of the Euler characteristics of the quiver grassmannians of any module $M$ over the path algebra of $Q$.

Non-singular arbitrary cloaks dressing three-dimensional anisotropic obstacles

We design three dimensional electromagnetic cloaks, starting from a small region of complex shape instead of a point. We derive the expression of a transformation matrix describing an objet with a surface of revolution and its associated non-singular cloak. We note that while none of the eigenvalues vanish inside the cloak, they suffer a discontinuity on its inner surface. Moreover, all three eigenvalues are independent upon the radius in the concealed object. The validity of our analytical results is confirmed by finite edge-elements computations showing scattering is much reduced when the object is dressed with the cloak. We note that neither the object nor the cloak are invisible on their own.
