$S^1$-equivariant symplectic homology and linearized contact homology

We present three equivalent definitions of $S^1$-equivariant symplectic homology. We show that, using rational coefficients, the positive part of $S^1$-equivariant symplectic homology is isomorphic to linearized contact homology, when the latter is defined. We present several computations and applications, and introduce a rigorously defined substitute for cylindrical/linearized contact homology based on an $S^1$-equivariant construction.

Bilinearised Legendrian contact homology and the augmentation category

In this paper we construct an $\mathcal{A}_\infty$-category associated to a Legendrian submanifold of jet spaces. Objects of the category are augmentations of the Chekanov algebra $\mathcal{A}(Λ)$ and the homology of the morphism spaces forms a new set of invariants of Legendrian submanifolds called the bilinearised Legendrian contact homology. Those are constructed as a generalisation of linearised Legendrian contact homology using two augmentations instead of one. Considering similar constructions with more augmentations leads to the higher order compositions map in the category and generalises the idea of [6] where an $\mathcal{A}_\infty$-algebra was constructed from one augmentation. This category allows us to define a notion of equivalence of augmentations when the coefficient ring is a field regardless of its characteristic. We use simple examples to show that bilinearised cohomology groups are efficient to distinguish those equivalences classes. We also generalise the duality exact sequence from [12] in our contest, and interpret geometrically the bilinearised homology in terms of the Floer homology of Lagrangian fillings (following [8]).

The Gysin exact sequence for $S^1$-equivariant symplectic homology

We define $S^1$-equivariant symplectic homology for symplectically aspherical manifolds with contact boundary, using a Floer-type construction first proposed by Viterbo. We show that it is related to the usual symplectic homology by a Gysin exact sequence. As an important ingredient of the proof, we define a parametrized version of symplectic homology, corresponding to families of Hamiltonian functions indexed by a finite dimensional smooth parameter space.

Effect of Legendrian Surgery

The paper is a summary of the results of the authors concerning computations of symplectic invariants of Weinstein manifolds and contains some examples and applications. Proofs are sketched. The detailed proofs will appear in our forthcoming paper. In the Appendix written by S. Ganatra and M. Maydanskiy it is shown that the results of this paper imply P. Seidel's conjecture equating symplectic homology with Hochschild homology of a certain Fukaya category.

An exact sequence for contact- and symplectic homology

A symplectic manifold $W$ with contact type boundary $M = \partial W$ induces a linearization of the contact homology of $M$ with corresponding linearized contact homology $HC(M)$. We establish a Gysin-type exact sequence in which the symplectic homology $SH(W)$ of $W$ maps to $HC(M)$, which in turn maps to $HC(M)$, by a map of degree -2, which then maps to $SH(W)$. Furthermore, we give a description of the degree -2 map in terms of rational holomorphic curves with constrained asymptotic markers, in the symplectization of $M$.

Coherent Orientations in Symplectic Field Theory

We study the coherent orientations of the moduli spaces of holomorphic curves in Symplectic Field Theory, generalizing a construction due to Floer and Hofer. In particular we examine their behavior at multiple closed Reeb orbits under change of the asymptotic direction. The orientations are determined by a certain choice of orientation at each closed Reeb orbit, that is similar to the orientation of the unstable tangent spaces of critical points in finite--dimensional Morse theory.
