Cardinal invariants of closed graphs

We study several cardinal characteristics of closed graphs G on compact metrizable spaces. In particular, we address the question when it is consistent for the bounding number to be strictly smaller than the smallest size of a set not covered by countably many compact G-anticliques. We also provide a descriptive set theoretic characterization of the class of analytic graphs with countable coloring number.

Computability and Categoricity of Weakly Ultrahomogeneous Structures

This paper investigates the effective categoricity of ultrahomogeneous structures. It is shown that any computable ultrahomogeneous structure is $Δ^0_2$ categorical. A structure A is said to be weakly ultrahomogeneous if there is a finite (exceptional) set of elements $a_1,\dots,a_n$ such that A becomes ultrahomogeneous when constants representing these elements are added to the language. Characterizations are obtained for weakly ultrahomogeneous linear orderings, equivalence structures, injection structures and trees, and these are compared with characterizations of the computably categorical and $Δ^0_2$ categorical structures. Index sets are used to determine the complexity of the notions of ultrahomegenous and weakly ultrahomogeneous for various families of structures.

Construction of Directed Strongly Regular Graphs Using Block Matrices

The concept of directed strongly regular graphs was introduced by Duval in his paper, A Directed Graph Version of Strongly Regular Graphs. Duval also provided several construction methods for directed strongly regular graphs. The directed strongly regular graphs reported in this paper are obtained using a block construction of adjacency matrices of regular tournaments and circulant matrices. We then give some algebraic and combinatorial interpretation of these graphs in connection with known directed strongly regular graphs and related combinatorial structures.
