Isometries and spectra of multiplication operators on the Bloch space

In this paper, we establish bounds on the norm of multiplication operators on the Bloch space of the unit disk via weighted composition operators. In doing so, we characterize the isometric multiplication operators to be precisely those induced by constant functions of modulus 1. We then describe the spectrum of the multiplication operators in terms of the range of the symbol. Lastly, we identify the isometries and spectra of a particular class of weighted composition operators on the Bloch space.

Multiplication operators between iterated logarithmic Lipschitz spaces of a tree

In this article, we characterize the bounded and the compact multiplication operators between distinct iterated logarithmic Lipschitz spaces, and between the Lipschitz space and an iterated logarithmic Lipschitz space of an infinite tree. In addition, we provide operator norm estimates and show that there are no isometries among such operators. %We obtain a new characterization of the bounded multiplication operators acting on an iterated logarithmic Lipschitz space and the compact multiplication operators between the weighted Lipschitz space and the Lipschitz space.

Multiplication operators between Lipschitz-type spaces on a tree

Let L\mathcal{L} be the space of complex-valued functions ff on the set of vertices TT of an rooted infinite tree rooted at oo such that the difference of the values of ff at neighboring vertices remains bounded throughout the tree, and let Lw\mathcal{L}_{\textbf{w}} be the set of functions f∈Lf\in \mathcal{L} such that ∣f(v)−f(v−)∣=O(∣v∣−1)|f(v)-f(v^-)|=O(|v|^{-1}), where ∣v∣|v| is the distance between oo and vv and v−v^- is the neighbor of vv closest to oo. In this article, we characterize the bounded and the compact multiplication operators between L\mathcal{L} and Lw\mathcal{L}_{\textbf{w}}, and provide operator norm and essential norm estimates. Furthermore, we characterize the bounded and compact multiplication operators between Lw\mathcal{L}_{\textbf{w}} and the space L∞L^\infty of bounded functions on TT and determine their operator norm and their essential norm. We establish that there are no isometries among the multiplication operators between these spaces.

Multiplication operators on the Bloch space of bounded homogeneous domains

In this paper, we study the multiplication operators on the Bloch space of a bounded homogeneous domain in Cn\mathbb{C}^n. Specifically, we characterize the bounded and the compact multiplication operators, establish estimates on the operator norm, and determine the spectrum. We prove that the only bounded multiplication operators on the Bloch space of the polydisk are those whose symbol is constant. Furthermore, we prove that for a large class of bounded symmetric domains, the isometric multiplication operators are those whose symbol is a constant of modulus one.

Multiplication operators on the iterated logarithmic Lipschitz spaces of a tree

We introduce a class of iterated logarithmic Lipschitz spaces L(k)\mathcal{L}^{(k)}, k∈Nk\in\mathbb{N}, on an infinite tree which arise naturally in the context of operator theory. We characterize boundedness and compactness of the multiplication operators on L(k)\mathcal{L}^{(k)} and provide estimates on their operator norm and their essential norm. In addition, we determine the spectrum, characterize the multiplication operators that are bounded below, and prove that on such spaces there are no nontrivial isometric multiplication operators and no isometric zero divisors.

Multiplication operators on the weighted Lipschitz space of a tree

We study the multiplication operators on the weighted Lipschitz space Lw\mathcal{L}_{\textbf{w}} consisting of the complex-valued functions ff on the set of vertices of an infinite tree TT rooted at oo such that sup⁡v≠o∣v∣∣f(v)−f(v−)∣<∞\sup_{v\neq o}|v||f(v)-f(v^-)|<\infty, where ∣v∣|v| denotes the distance between oo and vv and v−v^- is the neighbor of vv closest to oo. For the multiplication operator, we characterize boundedness, compactness, provide estimates on the operator norm and the essential norm, and determine the spectrum. We prove that there are no isometric multiplication operators or isometric zero divisors on Lw\mathcal{L}_{\textbf{w}}.

On the isometric composition operators on the Bloch space in Cn\mathbb{C}^n

Let φφ be a holomorphic self-map of a bounded homogeneous domain DD in Cn\mathbb{C}^n. In this work, we show that the composition operator Cφ:f↦f∘φC_φ: f\mapsto f\circ φ is bounded on the Bloch space B\mathcal{B} of the domain and provide estimates on its operator norm. We also give a sufficient condition for φφ to induce an isometry on B\cal{B}. This condition allows us to construct non-trivial examples of isometric composition operators in the case when DD has the unit disk as a factor. We then obtain some necessary conditions for CφC_φ to be an isometry on B\cal{B} when DD is a Cartan classical domain. Finally, we give the complete description of the spectrum of the isometric composition operators in the case of the unit disk and for a wide class of symbols on the polydisk.

Weighted composition operators from H∞H^\infty to the Bloch space of a bounded homogeneous domain

Let DD be a bounded homogeneous domain in Cn\mathbb{C}^n. In this paper, we study the bounded and the compact weighted composition operators mapping the Hardy space H∞(D)H^\infty(D) into the Bloch space of DD. We characterize the bounded weighted composition operators, provide operator norm estimates, and give sufficient conditions for compactness. We prove that these conditions are necessary in the case of the unit ball and the polydisk. We then show that if DD is a bounded symmetric domain, the bounded multiplication operators from H∞(D)H^\infty(D) to the Bloch space of DD are the operators whose symbol is bounded.
