A hidden generalized gauge symmetry of a cutoff QED is used to show the renormalizability of QED. In particular, it is shown that corresponding Ward identities are valid all along the renormalization group flow. The exact Renormalization Group flow equation corresponding to the effective action of a cutoff lambda phi^4 theory is also derived. Generalization to any gauge group is indicated.
The mass spectrum of the noncommutative QED in two-dimensional Euclidean $\mathbb{R}^{2}$ space is derived first in a perturbative approach at one-loop level and then in a nonperturbative approach using the equivalent bosonized noncommutative effective action. It turns out that the mass spectrum of noncommutative QED in two dimensions reduces to a single non-interacting meson with mass $M_γ=\frac{g}{\sqrtπ}$, as in commutative Schwinger model.
A generalized translational invariant noncommutative field theory is analyzed in detail, and a complete description of translational invariant noncommutative structures is worked out. The relevant gauge theory is described, and the planar and nonplanar axial anomalies are obtained.
We suggest that the static configurations of M-theory may be described by the matrix regularisation of the supermembrane theory in static regime. We compute the long range interaction between a M2-brane and an anti-M2-brane in agreement with the 11 dimensional supergravity result.
We present the hyper-elliptic curve describing the moduli space of the N=2 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory with the $G_2$ gauge group. The exact monodromies and the dyon spectrum of the theory are determined. It is verified that the recently proposed solitonic equation is also satisfied by our solution.
We consider the standard vector and chiral gauged WZNW models by their gauged maximal null subgroups and show that they can be mapped to each other by a special transformation. We give an explicit expression for the map in the case of the classical Lie groups $ A_N $, $ B_N $, $ C_N $, $ D_N $, and note its connection with the duality map for the Riemmanian globally symmetric spaces.
