Lepton masses and mixing in a scotogenic model

We consider an extension of the standard model with three Higgs doublet model and $S_3\times \mathbb{Z}_2$ discrete symmetries. Two of the scalar doublets are inert due to the $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry. We have calculated all the mass spectra in the scalar and lepton sectors and accommodated the leptonic mixing matrix as well. We also show that the model has scalar and pseudoscalar candidates to dark matter. Constraints on the parameters of the model coming from the decay $μ\to eγ$ were considered and we found signals between the current and the upcoming experimental limits, and from that decay we can predict the one-loop $μ\to ee\bar{e}$ channel.

Prediction of $h\toγZ$ from $h\toγγ$ at LHC for the IMDS$_3$ Model

We consider the decays $h\toγγ,γZ$ in the context of an extension of the standard model with two inert doublets and an additional $S_3$ symmetry. This model has contributions for these processes through new charged scalar-loops. Comparing our $h\toγγ$ with the more precise available experimental data we can predict the behaviour of $h\toγZ$ due that they depend on the same parameters, our estimation for this channel is 1.05 times the standard model value, but can be up to 1.16 if consider the $+1σ$ uncertainty from the $h\toγγ$ data, and down to 0.96 if consider $-1σ$.

Secluded WIMPs, QED with massive photons, and the galactic center gamma-ray excess

We propose to investigate a secluded WIMP dark matter model consisting of neutral fermions as the dark matter candidate and a Proca-Wentzel (PW) field as a mediator. In the model that we consider here, dark matter WIMPs interact with standard model (SM) particles only through the PW field of ~ MeV -- multi-GeV mass particles. The interactions occur via an U(1)' mediator, V_μ', which couples to the SM by kinetic mixing with U(1) hypercharge bosons, B_μ. One important difference between our model and other such models in the literature is the absence of an extra singlet scalar, so that the parameter with dimension of mass M^2_V is not related to a spontaneous symmetry breaking. This QED based model is also renormalizable. The mass scale of the mediator and the absence of the singlet scalar can lead to interesting astrophysical signatures. The dominant annihilation channels are different from those usually considered in previous work. We show that the GeV-energy gamma-ray excess in the galactic center region, as derived from Fermi-LAT Gamma-ray Space Telescope data, can be attributed to such secluded dark matter WIMPs, given parameters of the model that are consistent with the cosmological dark matter density. Secluded WIMP models are also consistent with suggested upper limits on the DM contribution to the cosmic-ray antiproton flux.

Scalar Dark Matter Candidates in Two Inert Higgs Doublet Model

We study a two scalar inert doublet model (IDMS$_3$) which is stabilized by a $S_3$ symmetry. We consider two scenarios: i) two of the scalars in each charged sector are mass degenerated due to a residual $Z_2$ symmetry, ii) there is no mass degeneracy because of the introduction of soft terms that break the $Z_2$ symmetry. We show that both scenarios provide good dark matter candidates for some range of parameters.

$Z^{\prime}_{B-L}$ phenomenology at LHC

We study the $Z^\prime$ phenomenology for two extensions of the Electroweak Standard Model (SM) which have an extra $U(1)_{B-L}$ gauge factor. We show the capabilities of the LHC in distinguishing the signals coming from these two extensions and both of them from the Standard Model background. In order to compare the behavior of these $B-L$ models we consider the reaction $p + p\longrightarrow μ^+ + μ^- + X$ and compute some observables as the total cross sections, number of events, forward-backward asymmetry, final particle distributions like rapidity, transverse momentum, and dimuon invariant mass, for two LHC regimes: $\sqrt{s}\,({\cal L})=7$ TeV ($1\, \textrm{fb}^{-1}$) and $14 $ TeV ($100\, \textrm{fb}^{-1}$) for $M_{Z^{\prime}}$ = 1000 GeV and 1500 GeV. We show that by using appropriate kinematic cuts some of the observables considered here are able to extract different properties of the $Z^\prime$ boson, and hence providing information about to which $B-L$ model it belongs to.

Asymmetries in $e^+e^-\to f\bar{f}$ processes at ILC for models with an extra neutral vector boson $Z^\prime$

Many extensions of the standard model predict the existence of extra neutral vector bosons, generically referred as $Z^\prime$. This boson may be discovered at the LHC but in this case it will be necessary to study the respective parameters in order to discriminate to which model it belongs to. This is a task for a much clean lepton linear collider as the future ILC. In this paper we develop an exemplary study of the capability of several asymmetries on and off $Z^\prime$ peak in discriminating among those extensions with (almost) no ambiguities.
