Vacuum bosonic currents induced by a compactified cosmic string in dS background

In this paper, we investigate the vacuum bosonic currents in the geometry of a compactified cosmic string in the background of the de Sitter spacetime. The currents are induced by magnetic fluxes, one running along the cosmic string and another one enclosed by the compact dimension. In order to develop this analysis, we obtain the complete set of normalized bosonic wave-functions obeying a quasiperiodicity condition. In this context, we calculate the azimuthal and axial current densities. Due to the quasiperiodicity condition, the quantum number associated with the compactification of the string along its axis becomes discrete, and we use the Abel-Plana summation formula to evaluate the non-vanishing current densities. We show that these quantities are explicitly decomposed into two contributions: one corresponds to the geometry of a straight uncompactified cosmic string and the other is induced by the compactification. We also compare the results with the literature in the case of a massive fermionic field in the same geometry.

Induced Fermionic vacuum polarization in dS spacetime with a compactified cosmic string

We study the fermionic condensate (FC) and the vacuum expectation value (VEV) of the energy-momentum tensor for a massive spinor field in the de Sitter (dS) spacetime including an ideal cosmic string. In addition, spatial dimension along the string is compactified to a circle of length $L$. The fermionic field is assumed to obey quasi-periodic condition along the $z$-axis. There are also magnetic fluxes running along the cosmic string and enclosed by the compact dimension. Both, the FC and the VEV of the energy-momentum tensor, are decomposed into two parts: one induced by the cosmic string in dS spacetime considering the absence of the compactification, and another one induced by the compactification. In particular, we show that the FC vanishes for a massless fermionic field.

Relativistic quantum oscillators in the global monopole spacetime

We investigated the effects of the global monopole spacetime on the Dirac and Klein-Gordon relativistic quantum oscillators. In order to do this, we solve the Dirac and Klein-Gordon equations analytically and discuss the influence of this background which is characterized by the curvature of the spacetime on the energy profiles of these oscillators. In addition, we introduce a hard-wall potential and, for a particular case, determine the energy spectrum for relativistic quantum oscillators in this background.

Induced vacuum bosonic current by magnetic flux in a higher dimensional compactified cosmic string spacetime

In this paper, we analyse the bosonic current densities induced by a magnetic flux running along an idealized cosmic string in a high-dimensional spacetime, admitting that the coordinate along the string's axis is compactified. Additionally we admit the presence of an magnetic flux enclosed by the compactification axis. In order to develop this analysis we calculate the complete set of normalized bosonic wave-functions obeying a quasiperiodicity condition, with arbitrary phase $β$, along the compactified dimension. In this context, only azimuthal and axial currents densities take place. As to the azimuthal current, two contributions appear. The first contribution corresponds to the standard azimuthal current in a cosmic string spacetime without compactification, while the second contribution is a new one, induced by the compactification itself. The latter is an even function of the magnetic flux enclosed by the string axis and is an odd function of the magnetic flux along its core with period equal to quantum flux, $Φ_0=2π/e$. On the other hand, the nonzero axial current density is an even function of the magnetic flux along the core of the string and an odd function of the magnetic flux enclosed by it. We also find that the axial current density vanishes for untwisted and twisted bosonic fields in the absence of the magnetic flux enclosed by the string axis. Some asymptotic expressions for the current density are provided for specific limiting cases of the physical parameter of the model.

Induced vacuum bosonic current in a compactified cosmic string spacetime

We analyze the bosonic current densities induced by a magnetic flux running along an idealized cosmic string considering that the coordinate along its axis is compactified. We also consider the presence of a magnetic flux enclosed by the compactificatified axis. To develop this analysis, we calculate the complete set of normalized bosonic wave functions obeying a quasiperiodicity condition along the compactified dimension. We show that in this context only the azimuthal and axial currents take place.
