Partial Hopf actions on generalized matrix algebras

Let k\Bbbk be a field, HH a Hopf algebra over k\Bbbk, and R=(iMj)1≤i,j≤nR = (_iM_j)_{1 \leq i,j \leq n} a generalized matrix algebra. In this work, we establish necessary and sufficient conditions for HH to act partially on RR. To achieve this, we introduce the concept of an opposite covariant pair and demonstrate that it satisfies a universal property. In the special case where H=kGH = \Bbbk G is the group algebra of a group GG, we recover the conditions given in \cite{BP} for the existence of a unital partial action of GG on RR.

Ring theoretic properties of partial skew groupoid rings with applications to Leavitt path algebras

Let α=(Ag,αg)g∈Gα=(A_g,α_g)_{g\in G} be a group-type partial action of a connected groupoid GG on a ring A=⨁z∈G0AzA=\bigoplus_{z\in G_0}A_z and B=A⋆αGB=A\star_αG the corresponding partial skew groupoid ring. In the first part of this paper we investigate the relation of several ring theoretic properties between AA and BB. For the second part, using that every Leavitt path algebra is isomorphic to a partial skew groupoid ring obtained from a partial groupoid action λλ, we characterize when λλ is group-type. In such a case, we obtain ring theoretic properties of Leavitt path algebras from the results on general partial skew groupoid rings. Several examples that illustrate the results on Leavitt path algebras are presented.

Examples of finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebras in characteristic 22

We present new examples of finite-dimensional Nichols algebra over fields of characteristic 2 starting from braided vector spaces that are not of diagonal type, admit realizations as Yetter-Drinfeld modules over finite abelian groups and are analogous to braidings over fields of odd characteristic with finite-dimensional Nichols algebras presented in arXiv:1905.03074. As these last ones, they are related to the Nichols algebras of finite Gelfand-Kirillov dimension in characteristic 0 described in arXiv:1606.02521. New finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebras over fields of characteristic 2 are obtained by bosonization with group algebras of suitable finite abelian groups.

The commutative inverse semigroup of partial abelian extensions

This paper is a new contribution to the partial Galois theory of groups. First, given a unital partial action αGα_G of a finite group GG on an algebra SS such that SS is an αGα_G-partial Galois extension of SαGS^{α_G} and a normal subgroup HH of GG, we prove that αGα_G induces a unital partial action αG/Hα_{G/H} of G/HG/H on the subalgebra of invariants SαHS^{α_H} of SS such that SαHS^{α_H} is an αG/Hα_{G/H}-partial Galois extension of SαGS^{α_G}. Second, assuming that GG is abelian, we construct a commutative inverse semigroup Tpar(G,R)T_{par}(G,R), whose elements are equivalence classes of αGα_G-partial abelian extensions of a commutative algebra RR. We also prove that there exists a group isomorphism between Tpar(G,R)/ρT_{par}(G,R)/ρ and T(G,A)T(G,A), where ρρ is a congruence on Tpar(G,R)T_{par}(G,R) and T(G,A)T(G,A) is the classical Harrison group of the GG-isomorphism classes of the abelian extensions of a commutative ring AA. It is shown that the study of Tpar(G,R)T_{par}(G,R) reduces to the case where GG is cyclic. The set of idempotents of Tpar(G,R)T_{par}(G,R) is also investigated.

On the Bosonization of the Super Jordan Plane

Let HH and KK be the bosonizations of the Jordan and super Jordan plane by the group algebra of a cyclic group; the algebra KK projects onto an algebra LL that can be thought of as the quantum Borel of sl(2)\mathfrak{sl}(2) at −1-1. The finite-dimensional simple modules over HH and KK, are classified; they all have dimension 11, respectively ≤2\le 2. The indecomposable LL-modules of dimension ≤5\leq 5 are also listed. An interesting monoidal subcategory of rep⁡L\operatorname{rep} L is described.

Inner Actions of Weak Hopf Algebras

Let RR be an associative ring and e,fe,f idempotent elements of RR. In this paper we introduce the notion of (e,f)(e,f)-invertibility for an element of RR and use it to define inner actions of weak Hopf algebras. Given a weak Hopf algebra HH and an algebra AA, we present sufficient conditions for AA to admit an inner action of HH. We also prove that if AA is a left HH-module algebra then HH acts innerly on the smash product A#HA\#H if and only if HH is a quantum commutative weak Hopf algebra.
