A crypto-regularity result for the micropolar fluids equations

In the analysis of PDEs, regularity of often measured in terms of Sobolev, H{ö}lder, Besov or Lipschitz spaces, etc. However, sometimes a gain of regularity can also be expressed just in terms of Lebesgue spaces, by passing from a singular setting to a less singular one. In this article we will obtain a gain of integrability for weak solutions of the micropolar fluid equations using as general framework Morrey spaces, which is a very useful language to study regularity in PDEs. An interesting point is that the two variables of the micropolar fluid equations can be studied separately.

Some existence and regularity results for a non-local transport-diffusion equation with fractional derivatives in time and space

We study the existence of global weak solutions of a nonlinear transport-diffusion equation with a fractional derivative in the time variable and under some extra hypotheses, we also study some regularity properties for this type of solutions. In the system considered here, the diffusion operator is given by a fractional Laplacian and the nonlinear drift is assumed to be divergence free and it is assumed to satisfy some general stability and boundedness properties in Lebesgue spaces.

Blow-up for a nonlinear PDE with fractional Laplacian and singular quadratic nonlinearity

We consider a parabolic-type PDE with a diffusion given by a fractional Laplacian operator and with a quadratic nonlinearity of the 'gradient' of the solution, convoluted with a singular term b. Our first result is the well-posedness for this problem: We show existence and uniqueness of a (local in time) mild solution. The main result is about blow-up of said solution, and in particular we find sufficient conditions on the initial datum and on the term b to ensure blow-up of the solution in finite time.

Fractional operators with singular drift: Smoothing properties and Morrey-Campanato spaces

We investigate some smoothness properties for a transport-diffusion equation involving a class of non-degerate L{é}vy type operators with singular drift. Our main argument is based on a duality method using the molecular decomposition of Hardy spaces through which we derive some H{ö}lder continuity for the associated parabolic PDE. This property will be fulfilled as far as the singular drift belongs to a suitable Morrey-Campanato space for which the regularizing properties of the L{é}vy operator suffice to obtain global H{ö}lder continuity.

Remarks on a fractional diffusion transport equation with applications to the dissipative quasi-geostrophic equation

In this article I study Hölder regularity for solutions of a transport equation based in the dissipative quasi-geostrophic equation. Following a recent idea of A. Kiselev and F. Nazarov, I will use the molecular characterization of local Hardy spaces in order to obtain information on Hölder regularity of such solutions. This will be done by following the evolution of molecules in a backward equation.

Non-local diffusion equations with Lévy-type operators and divergence free drift

We are interested in some properties related to the solutions of non-local diffusion equations with divergence free drift. Existence, maximum principle and a positivity principle are proved. In order to study Holder regularity, we apply a method that relies in the Holder-Hardy spaces duality and in the molecular characterisation of local Hardy spaces. In these equations, the diffusion is given by Lévy-type operators with an associated Lévy measure satisfying some upper and lower bounds.

A counterexample for Improved Sobolev Inequalities over the 2-adic group

On the framework of the 2-adic group Z_2, we study a Sobolev-like inequality where we estimate the L^2 norm by a geometric mean of the BV norm and the Besov space B(-1,\infty,\infty) norm. We first show, using the special topological properties of the p-adic groups, that the set of functions of bounded variations BV can be identified to the Besov space B(1,\infty,1). This identification lead us to the construction of a counterexample to the improved Sobolev inequality.

Improved Sobolev Inequalities and Muckenhoupt weights on stratified Lie groups

We study in this article the Improved Sobolev inequalities with Muckenhoupt weights within the framework of stratified Lie groups. This family of inequalities estimate the Lq norm of a function by the geometric mean of two norms corresponding to Sobolev spaces W(s;p) and Besov spaces B(-b, infty, infty). When the value p which characterizes Sobolev space is strictly larger than 1, the required result is well known in R^n and is classically obtained by a Littlewood-Paley dyadic blocks manipulation. For these inequalities we will develop here another totally different technique. When p = 1, these two techniques are not available anymore and following M. Ledoux in R^n, we will treat here the critical case p = 1 for general stratified Lie groups in a weighted functional space setting. Finally, we will go a step further with a new generalization of Improved Sobolev inequalities using weak-type Sobolev spaces.
