On oriented mm-semiregular representations of finite groups about valency two

Given a group GG, an {\em mm-Cayley digraph $\G$ over GG} is a digraph that has a group of automorphisms isomorphic to GG acting semiregularly on the vertex set with mm orbits. We say that GG admits an {\em oriented mm-semiregular representation} (OmmSR for short), if there exists a regular mm-Cayley digraph $\G$ over GG such that $\G$ is oriented and its automorphism group is isomorphic to GG. In particular, O11SR is also named as ORR. Verret and Xia gave a classification of finite simple groups admitting an ORR of valency two in [Ars Math. Contemp. 22 (2022), \#P1.07]. Let m≥2m\geq 2 be an integer. In this paper, we show that all finite groups generated by at most two elements admit an OmmSR of valency two except four groups of small orders. Consequently, a classification of finite simple groups admitting an OmmSR of valency two is obtained.

On cubic symmetric non-Cayley graphs with solvable automorphism groups

It was proved in [Y.-Q. Feng, C. H. Li and J.-X. Zhou, Symmetric cubic graphs with solvable automorphism groups, {\em European J. Combin.} {\bf 45} (2015), 1-11] that a cubic symmetric graph with a solvable automorphism group is either a Cayley graph or a 22-regular graph of type 222^2, that is, a graph with no automorphism of order 22 interchanging two adjacent vertices. In this paper an infinite family of non-Cayley cubic 22-regular graphs of type 222^2 with a solvable automorphism group is constructed. The smallest graph in this family has order 6174.
