Global well-posedness and regularity of 3D Burgers equation with multiplicative noise

In this paper, we develop low regularity theory for 3D Burgers equation perturbed by a linear multiplicative stochastic force. This method is new and essentially different from the deterministic partial differential equations(PDEs). Our results and method can be widely applied to other stochastic hydrodynamic equations and the deterministic PDEs. As a further study, we establish a random version of maximum principle for random 3D Burgers equations, which will be an important tool for the study of 3D stochastic Burgers equations. As we know establishing moment estimates for highly nonlinear stochastic hydrodynamic equations is difficult. But moment estimates are very important for us to study the probabilistic properties and long-time behavior for the stochastic systems. Here, the random maximum principle helps us to achieve some important moment estimates for 3D stochastic Burgers equations and lays a solid foundation for the further study of 3D stochastic Burgers equations.

Orbital stability of peakon solutions for a generalized higher-order Camassa-Holm equation

In this paper, we investigate the orbital stability issue of a generalized higher-order Camassa-Holm (HOCH) equation, which is an higher-order extension of the quadratic CH equation. Firstly, we show that the HOCH equation admits a global weak peakon solution by paring it with ssome smooth test function. Secondly, with the help of two conserved quantities and the non-sgn-changing condition, we prove the orbital stability of this peakon solution in the energy space in the sense that its shape remains approximately the same for all times. Our results enrich the research of the orbital stability for the CH-type equations and are useful to better understand the impact of higher-order nonlinearities on the dispersion dynamics.

Uniform Regularity and Vanishing Viscosity Limit for the Compressible Nematic Liquid Crystal Flows in Three Dimensional Bounded Domain

In this paper, we study the uniform regularity and vanishing viscosity limit for the compressible nematic liquid crystal flows in three dimensional bounded domain. It is shown that there exists a unique strong solution for the compressible nematic liquid crystal flows with boundary condition in a finite time interval which is independent of the viscosity coefficient. The solutions are uniform bounded in a conormal Sobolev space. Furthermore, we prove that the density and velocity are uniform bounded in $W^{1, \infty}$, and the director field is uniform bounded in $W^{3,\infty}$ respectively. Based on these uniform estimates, one also obtains the convergence rate of the viscous solutions to the inviscid ones with a rate of convergence.

Global existence and semiclassical limit for quantum hydrodynamic equations with viscosity and heat conduction

The hydrodynamic equations with quantum effects are studied in this paper. First we establish the global existence of smooth solutions with small initial data and then in the second part, we establish the convergence of the solutions of the quantum hydrodynamic equations to those of the classical hydrodynamic equations. The energy equation is considered in this paper, which added new difficulties to the energy estimates, especially to the selection of the appropriate Sobolev spaces.

High-order Rogue Wave solutions for the Coupled Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations-II

We study on dynamics of high-order rogue wave in two-component coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations. Based on the generalized Darboux transformation and formal series method, we obtain the high-order rogue wave solution without the special limitation on the wave vectors. As an application, we exhibit the first, second-order rogue wave solution and the superposition of them by computer plotting. We find the distribution patterns for vector rogue waves are much more abundant than the ones for scalar rogue waves, and also different from the ones obtained with the constrain conditions on background fields. The results further enrich and deep our realization on rogue wave excitation dynamics in such diverse fields as Bose-Einstein condensates, nonlinear fibers, and superfluids.

Darboux transformation and classification of solution for mixed coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations

We derive generalized nonlinear wave solution formula for mixed coupled nonlinear Schödinger equations (mCNLSE) by performing the unified Darboux transformation. We give the classification of the general soliton formula on the nonzero background based on the dynamical behavior. Especially, the conditions for breather, dark soliton and rogue wave solution for mCNLSE are given in detail. Moreover, we analysis the interaction between dark-dark soliton solution and breather solution. These results would be helpful for nonlinear localized wave excitations and applications in vector nonlinear systems.

Reply to "Comment on "Darboux transformation and classification of solution for mixed coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations""

In the recent comment quoted in the title (arXiv:1407.7852v1), a comment is presented on our recent work which derive a generalized nonlinear wave solution formula for mixed coupled nonlinear Schödinger equations by performing the unified Darboux transformation (arXiv:1407.5194). Here we would like to reply to the comment and clarify some facts in arXiv:1407.5194.

The Well-posedness and Blow-up rate of Solution for the Generalized Zakharov equations with Magnetic field in R^d

The present paper is devoted to the study of the well-posedness and the lower bound of blow-up rate to the Cauchy problem of the generalized Zakharov(GZ) equations with magnetic field in R^d. The work of well-posedness of the GZ system bases on the local well-posedness theory in [9]. At first, the existence, uniqueness and continuity of solution to the GZ system with magnetic field in Rd is proved. Next, we establish the lower bound of blow-up rate of blow-up solution in sobolev spaces to the GZ system, which is almost a critical index. Finally, we obtain the long time behavior of global solution, whose H^k-norm grows at k-exponentially in time.

Darboux transformation and multi-dark soliton for N-component coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations

In this paper, we obtain a uniform Darboux transformation for multi-component coupled NLS equations, which can be reduced to all previous presented Darboux transformation. As a direct application, we derive the single dark soliton and multi-dark soliton solutions for multi-component coupled NLS with defocusing case and mixed focusing and defocusing case. Some exact single and two-dark solitons of three-component NLS equation are shown by plotting the picture.

High-order Rogue Waves in Vector Nonlinear Schrödinger Equations

We study on dynamics of high-order rogue wave in two-component coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations. We find four fundamental rogue waves can emerge for second-order vector RW in the coupled system, in contrast to the high-order ones in single component systems. The distribution shape can be quadrilateral, triangle, and line structures through varying the proper initial excitations given by the exact analytical solutions. Moreover, six fundamental rogue wave can emerge on the distribution for second-order vector rogue wave, which is similar to the scalar third-order ones. The distribution patten for vector ones are much abundant than the ones for scalar rogue waves. The results could be of interest in such diverse fields as Bose-Einstein condensates, nonlinear fibers, and superfluids.

Quasineutral limit of the Euler-Poisson equation for a cold, ion-acoustic plasma

In this paper, we consider the quasineutral limit of the Euler-Poisson equation for a clod, ion-acoustic plasma when the Debye length tends to zero. When the ion-acoustic plasma is cold, the Euler-Poisson equation is pressureless and hence fails to be Friedrich symmetrisable, which excludes the application of the classical energy estimates method. This brings new difficulties in proving uniform estimates independent of $\varepsilon$. The main novelty in this article is to introduce new $\varepsilon$-weighted norms of the unknowns and to combine energy estimates in different levels with weights depending on $\varepsilon$. Finally, that the quasineutral regimes are the incompressible Euler equations is proven for well prepared initial data.

Global existence of smooth solutions to three-dimensional turbulent flow equations

In this paper we are concerned with the global existence of smooth solutions to the turbulent flow equations for compressible flows in $\mathbb{R}^3$. The global well-posedness is proved under the condition that the initial data are close to the standard equilibrium state in $H^3$-framework. The proof relies on energy estimates about velocity, temperature, turbulent kinetic energy and rate of viscous dissipation. We use several new techniques to overcome the difficulties from the product of two functions and higher order norms. This is the first result concerning $k$-$\varepsilon$ model equations.

Global well-posedness for the two dimensional compressible MHD equations with large data

In this paper we are concerned with the global well-posedness for the compressible MHD equations with large data. We show that if the shear viscosity $μ$ is a positive constant and the bulk viscosity $λ$ is the power function of the density, that is, $λ(ρ)=ρ^β$ with $β>3$, then the two dimensional compressible MHD system with the periodic boundary conditions on the torus $\mathbb{T}^2$ have a unique global classical solution $(ρ, u,H)$. In this work we extended the results about compressible Navier-Stokes equations in \cite{Karzhikhov} to compressible MHD equations by applying several new techniques to overcome the coupling between velocity and magnetic field.

High Order Solutions and Generalized Darboux Transformations of Derivative Schrödinger Equation

By means of certain limit technique, two kinds of generalized Darboux transformations are constructed for the derivative nonlinear Schödinger equation (DNLS). These transformations are shown to lead to two solution formulas for DNLS in terms of determinants. As applications, several different types of high order solutions are calculated for this equation.

Limiting behavior of solutions of multidimensional Landau-Lifshitz equations with second approximation of effective field (I)

By a maximum principle under global control map from $R^{n+1}$ to$S^2,$ $δ$-viscosity supersolution and subsolution of multidimensional Landau-Lifshitz equations with second approximation of effective field are built. Utilizing the $δ$-viscosity supersolution and subsolution, the viscosity solution of the equations is showed and the limiting behavior of the solution of the equations is obtained. Exactly, there exist two disjoint open subsets such that the solutions tend to the point $(0,1,0)$ on arbitrary compact subsets in one of them and tend to the point $(0,-1,0)$ on arbitrary compact subsets in the other of them, respectively.

Optimal convergence rates for the three-dimensional turbulent flow equations

In this paper we are concerned with the convergence rate of solutions to the three-dimensional turbulent flow equations. By combining the $L^p$-$L^q$ estimates for the linearized equations and an elaborate energy method, the convergence rates are obtained in various norms for the solution to the equilibrium state in the whole space, when the initial perturbation of the equilibrium state is small in $H^3$-framework. More precisely, the optimal convergence rates of the solutions and its first order derivatives in $L^2$-norm are obtained when the $L^p$-norm of the perturbation is bounded for some $p\in[1, 6/5)$.

Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation: Generalized Darboux Transformation and Rogue Wave Solutions

In this paper, we construct a generalized Darboux transformation for nonlinear Schrödinger equation. The associated $N$-fold Darboux transformation is given both in terms of a summation formula and in terms of determinants. As applications, we obtain compact representations for the $N$-th order rogue wave solutions of the focusing nonlinear Schrödinger equation and Hirota equation. In particular, the dynamics of the general third order rogue wave is discussed and shown to exhibit interesting structure.

Stochastic Wave Equations with Nonlinear Damping and Source Terms

In this paper, we discuss an initial boundary value problem for the stochastic wave equation involving the nonlinear damping term $|u_t|^{q-2}u_t$ and a source term of the type $|u|^{p-2}u$. We firstly establish the local existence and uniqueness of solution by the Galerkin approximation method and show that the solution is global for $q\geq p$. Secondly, by an appropriate energy inequality, the local solution of the stochastic equations will blow up with positive probability or explosive in energy sense for $p>q$.

Vanishing viscosity limit for a coupled Navier-Stokes/Allen-Cahn system

In this paper, we study the vanishing viscosity limit for a coupled Navier-Stokes/Allen-Cahn system in a bounded domain. We first show the local existence of smooth solutions of the Euler/Allen-Cahn equations by modified Galerkin method. Then using the boundary layer function to deal with the mismatch of the boundary conditions between Navier-Stokes and Euler equations, and assuming that the energy dissipation for Navier-Stokes equation in the boundary layer goes to zero as the viscosity tends to zero, we prove that the solutions of the Navier-Stokes/Allen-Cahn system converge to that of the Euler/Allen-Cahn system in a proper small time interval. In addition, for strong solutions of the Navier-Stokes/Allen-Cahn system in 2D, the convergence rate is cν^{1/2}.

Finite dimensional global and exponential attractors for a coupled time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equations for atomic Fermi gases near the BCS-BEC crossover

We study a coupled nonlinear evolution system arising from the Ginzburg-Landau theory for atomic Fermi gases near the BCS-BEC crossover. First, we prove that the initial boundary value problem generates a strongly continuous semigroup on a suitable phase-space which possesses the global attractor. Then we establish the existence of an exponential attractor. As a consequence, we show that the global attractor is of finite fractal dimension.

On the Cauchy problem for the magnetic Zakharov system

In this paper, we study the Cauchy problem of the magnetic type Zakharov system which describes the pondermotive force and magnetic field generation effects resulting from the non-linear interaction between plasma-wave and particles. By using the energy method to derive a priori bounds and an approximation argument for the construction of solutions, we obtain local existence and uniqueness results for the magnetic Zakharov system in the case of $d=2,3$.
