Regularity of the p−p-Bergman kernel

We show that the p−p-Bergman kernel Kp(z)K_p(z) on a bounded domain ΩΩ is of locally C1,1C^{1,1} for p≥1p\geq1.The proof is based on the locally Lipschitz continuity of the off-diagonal p−p-Bergman kernel Kp(ζ,z)K_p(ζ,z) for fixed ζ∈Ωζ\in Ω. Global irregularity of Kp(ζ,z)K_p(ζ,z) is presented for some smooth strongly pseudoconvex domains when p≫1p\gg 1. As an application of the local C1,1−C^{1,1}-regularity, an upper estimate for the Levi form of log⁡Kp(z)\log K_p(z) for 1<p<21<p<2 is provided. Under the condition that the hyperconvexity index of ΩΩ is positive, we obtain the log-Lipschitz continuity of p↦Kp(z)p\mapsto{K_p(z)} for 1≤p≤21\leq{p}\leq2.

On the p−p-Bergman theory

In this paper we attempt to develop a general p−p-Bergman theory on bounded domains in Cn\mathbb C^n. To indicate the basic difference between LpL^p and L2L^2 cases, we show that the p−p-Bergman kernel Kp(z)K_p(z) is not real-analytic on some bounded complete Reinhardt domains when p≥4p\ge 4 is an even number. By the calculus of variations we get a fundamental reproducing formula. This together with certain techniques from nonlinear analysis of the p−p-Laplacian yield a number of results, e.g., the off-diagonal p−p-Bergman kernel Kp(z,⋅)K_p(z,\cdot) is Hölder continuous of order 12\frac12 for p>1p>1 and of order 12(n+2)\frac1{2(n+2)} for p=1p=1. We also show that the p−p-Bergman metric Bp(z;X)B_p(z;X) tends to the Carathéodory metric C(z;X)C(z;X) as p→∞p\rightarrow \infty and the generalized Levi form i∂∂ˉlog⁡Kp(z;X)i\partial\bar{\partial}\log K_p(z;X) is no less than Bp(z;X)2B_p(z;X)^2 for p≥2p\ge 2 and C(z;X)2 C(z;X)^2 for p≤2.p\le 2. Stability of Kp(z,w)K_p(z,w) or Bp(z;X)B_p(z;X) as pp varies, boundary behavior of Kp(z)K_p(z), as well as basic facts on the p−p-Bergman prjection, are also investigated.

Curvature and LpL^p Bergman spaces on complex submanifolds in CN{\mathbb C}^N

Let MM be a closed complex submanifold in CN{\mathbb C}^N with the complete Kähler metric induced by the Euclidean metric. Several finiteness theorems on the LpL^p Bergman space of holomorphic sections of a given Hermitian line bundle LL over MM and the associated L2L^2 cohomology groups are obtained. Some infiniteness theorems are also given in order to test the accuracy of finiteness theorems. As applications we obtain some rigidity results concerning growth of curvatures.

Parameter dependence of the Bergman kernels

Let {Ωt:−1<t<1}\{Ω_t:-1<t<1\} be a family of bounded pseudoconvex domains and φt∈PSH(Ωt)φ_t\in PSH(Ω_t). Let Kt(z,w)K_t(z,w) denote the Bergman kernel with weight φtφ_t on ΩtΩ_t. We study the continuity and Hölder continuity of Kt(z,w)K_t(z,w) in tt. Several applications to singularity theory of psh functions are given, including a new proof of the openness theorem.

Holomorphic maps with large images

We show that each pseudoconvex domain Ω⊂CnΩ\subset {\mathbb C}^n admits a holomorphic map FF to Cm{\mathbb C}^m with ∣F∣≤C1eC2δ^−6|F|\le C_1 e^{C_2 \hatδ^{-6}}, where δ^\hatδ is the minimum of the boundary distance and (1+∣z∣2)−1/2(1+|z|^2)^{-1/2}, such that every boundary point is a Casorati-Weierstrass point of FF. Based on this fact, we introduce a new anti-hyperbolic concept --- universal dominability. We also show that for each α>6α>6 and each pseudoconvex domain Ω⊂CnΩ\subset {\mathbb C}^n, there is a holomorphic function ff on ΩΩ with ∣f∣≤CαeCα′δ^−α|f|\le C_αe^{C_α' \hatδ^{-α}}, such that every boundary point is a Picard point of FF. Applications to the construction of holomorphic maps of a given domain onto some Cm{\mathbb C}^m are given.

Weighted Bergman spaces and the ∂ˉ−\bar{\partial}-equation

We give a Hörmander type L2−L^2-estimate for the ∂ˉ−\bar{\partial}-equation with respect to the measure δΩ−αdVδ_Ω^{-α}dV, α<1α<1, on any bounded pseudoconvex domain with C2−C^2-boundary. Several applications to the function theory of weighed Bergman spaces Aα2(Ω)A^2_α(Ω) are given, including a corona type theorem, a Gleason type theorem, together with a density theorem. We investigate in particular the boundary behavior of functions in Aα2(Ω)A^2_α(Ω) by proving an analogue of the Levi problem for Aα2(Ω)A^2_α(Ω) and giving an optimal Gehring type estimate for functions in Aα2(Ω)A^2_α(Ω). A vanishing theorem for A12(Ω)A^2_1(Ω) is established for arbitrary bounded domains. Relations between the weighted Bergman kernel and the Szegö kernel are also discussed.

Stability of the Bergman kernel on a tower of coverings

We obtain several results about stability of the Bergman kernel on a tower of coverings on complex manifolds. An effective version of Rhodes' result is given for a tower of coverings on a compact Riemann surface of genus greater than or equal to 2. Stability of the Bergman kernel is established for towers of coverings on hyperbolic Riemann surfaces and on complete Kaehler manifolds satisfying certain potential conditions. As a consequence, stability of the Bergman kernel is established for any tower of coverings of Riemann surfaces when the top manifold is simply-connected.
