$γ$-Metrics in Higher Dimensions

We introduce five and higher dimensional $γ$-metrics. The higher dimensional metrics are exact solutions of the vacuum field equations and represent new types of singularities. For dimensions $d>5$ we have obtained $γ$-metrics in flat coordinates. We obtain singularities of metrics and for a better understanding of geometrical and physical properties of the five dimensional metric, stable circular orbits are determined by means of the effective potential. Effect of the deformed parameter ($γ$) on redshift of the $γ$-metric are calculated. Interior solution for the five-dimensional $γ$-metric is also obtained.

Entangled vacuum state for accelerated observers

Entanglement of Dirac fields has been studied and it is known to decrease with increasing acceleration when a quantum state is shared between users in non-inertial frames. A new form of an entangled vacuum state observed by the accelerated observer is postulated in which it is assumed that entanglement is present between the modes of the quantum field with sharp and opposite momenta defined in two causally disconnected regions of space-time. We find that this assumption does not affect the entanglement of the system.

Novel way to the metric of higher dimensional rotating black holes

We wish to carry forward to higher dimensions the insightful and novel method of obtaining the Kerr metric proposed by one of us [Gen. Relativ. Gravit. 45, 2383 (2013)] for deriving the Myers-Perry rotating black hole metric. We begin with a flat spacetime metric written in oblate spheroidal coordinates (ellipsoidal geometry) appropriate for the inclusion of rotation, and then introduce arbitrary functions to introduce a gravitational potential due to mass, which are then determined by requiring that a massless particle experiences no acceleration, while a massive particle feels Newtonian acceleration at large r. We further generalize the method to include the cosmological constant Λ to obtain the MyersPerry de Sitter/antide Sitter black hole metric.

Dynamical behavior of the Universe: an entropic force scenario

Entropic force originates in the assumption that there is a horizon for the universe. This horizon gives rise to additional terms in the equations of motion. Using dynamical system calculations, our results show that in the presence of dark energy for certain conditions, the last attractor of this theory will be dark energy epoch, but in the absence of dark energy, entropic force energy portion will have the lead role in the late time universe and is responsible for accelerated expansion of that. Interestingly, assuming both entropic force terms and dark energy to have their share of energy density of the universe, we have found that, in certain conditions entropic force dominated epoch is a stable fixed point while the dark energy epoch is a saddle point.

Generating odd-dimensional rotating black holes with equal angular momenta by using the Kerr-Schild Cartesian form of metric

The Newman-Janis (NJ) method is a prescription to derive the Kerr space-time from the Schwarzschild metric. The BTZ, Kerr and five-dimensional Myers-Perry (MP) black hole solutions have already been generated by different versions of the NJ method. However, it is not known how to generate the metric of higher-dimensional (d > 6) rotating black holes by this method. In this paper, we propose the simplest algorithm for generation of the five-dimensional MP metric with two arbitrary angular momenta by using the Kerr-Schild form of the metric and quaternions. Then, we present another new two-step version of the NJ approach without using quaternions that generate the five-dimensional MP metric with equal angular momenta. Finally, the extension of the later procedure is explained for the higher odd-dimensional rotating black holes (d > 5) with equal angular momenta.

Holographic entanglement first law for d + 1 dimensional rotating cylindrical black holes

We calculate the holographic entanglement entropy for the rotating cylindrical black holes in $d+1$ dimensions as perturbations over $AdS_{d+1}$. This is accomplished based on the first order variation of the area functional in arbitrary dimensions. For these types of black holes, the angular momentum appears at the first order of the perturbative expansion of the holographic entanglement entropy for spacetime dimensions of d +1 $\geq$ 4. We obtain a form of holographic entanglement first law in the presence of both energy and angular momentum.

Late time dynamics of $f(R, T, R_{μν}T^{μν})$ gravity

Dynamical behavior and future singularities of $f(R, T,R_{μν}T^{μν})$ gravitational theory are investigated. This gravitational model is a more complete form of the $f(R,T)$ gravity which can offer new dynamics for the universe. We investigate this gravitational theory for the case $f = R + αR_{μν}T^{μν}$ using the method of autonomous dynamical systems and by assuming an interaction between matter and dark energy. The fixed points are identified and the results are consistent with standard cosmology and show that for small $α$, the radiation dominated era is an unstable fixed point of the theory and the universe will continue its procedure toward matter era which is a saddle point of the theory and allows the evolution to dark energy dominated universe. Finally the dark energy dominated epoch is a stable fixed point and will be the late time attractor for the universe. We also consider future singularities for the two $f = R + αR_{μν}T^{μν}$ and $f = R +αRR_{μν}T^{μν}$ cases and for $w = 0,\dfrac{1}{3},1$ and $-1$. Our results show that for the case of $f = R + αR_{μν}T^{μν}$, the future singularities of the universe will happen in the same condition as do for the Einstein-Hilbert FRW universe. However, a new type of singularity is obtained for $f = R +αRR_{μν}T^{μν}$ that is captured by $t\rightarrow t_s;\ a \rightarrow a_s;\ ρ\rightarrow \infty;$ and $\ |p| \rightarrow 0$.

Maximum rate of entropy emission

It is shown that adding hair like electric charge or angular momentum to the black hole decreases the amount of entropy emission. This motivates us to study the emission rate of entropy from black holes and conjecture a maximum limit (upper bound) on the rate of local entropy emission ($\dot{S}$) for thermal systems in four dimensional space time and argue that this upper bound is $\dot{S}\simeq k_{B} \sqrt{\frac{c^5}{\hbar G}}$. Also by considering Rènyi entropy, it is shown that Bekenstein-Hawking entropy leads to a maximum limit for the rate of entropy emission. We also suggest an upper bound on the surface gravity of the black holes which is called Planck surface gravity. Finally we obtain a relation between maximum rate of entropy emission, Planck surface gravity and Planck temperature of black holes.

Geometrothermodynamics as a singular conformal thermodynamic geometry

In this letter, we first redefine our formalism of the thermodynamic geometry introduced in [1,2] by changing coordinates of the thermodynamic space by means of Jacobian matrices. We then show that the geometrothermodynamics (GTD) is conformally related to this new formalism of the thermodynamic geometry. This conformal transformation is singular at unphysical points were generated in GTD metric. Therefore, working with our metric neatly excludes all unphysical points without imposing any constraints.

Critical behaviors and phase transitions of black holes in higher order gravities and extended phase spaces

We consider the critical behaviors and phase transitions of Gauss Bonnet-Born Infeld-AdS black holes (GB-BI-AdS) for $d=5,6$ and the extended phase space. We assume the cosmological constant, $Λ$, the coupling coefficient $α$, and the BI parameter $β$ to be thermodynamic pressures of the system. Having made these assumptions, the critical behaviors are then studied in the two canonical and grand canonical ensembles. We find "reentrant and triple point phase transitions" (RPT-TP) and "multiple reentrant phase transitions" (multiple RPT) with increasing pressure of the system for specific values of the coupling coefficient $α$ in the canonical ensemble. Also, we observe a reentrant phase transition (RPT) of GB-BI-AdS black holes in the grand canonical ensemble and for $d=6$. These calculations are then expanded to the critical behavior of Born-Infeld-AdS (BI-AdS) black holes in the third order of Lovelock gravity and in the grand canonical ensemble to find a Van der Waals behavior for $d=7$ and a reentrant phase transition for $d=8$ for specific values of potential $ϕ$ in the grand canonical ensemble. Furthermore, we obtain a similar behavior for the limit of $β\to \infty$, i.e charged-AdS black holes in the third order of the Lovelock gravity. Thus, it is shown that the critical behaviors of these black holes are independent of the parameter $β$ in the grand canonical ensemble.

Entanglement Thermodynamics of the Generalized Charged BTZ Black Hole

In this paper, we investigate the entanglement entropy for the generalized charged BTZ black hole through the $AdS_{3}/CFT_{2}$ correspondence. Using the holographic description of the entanglement entropy for the strip-subsystem in boundary $CFT_{2}$, we will find the first law-like relation between the variation of holographic entanglement entropy and the variation of energy of the subsystem in terms of the mass and the electric charge up to the second order. We also obtain appropriate counterterms to renormalize the energy tensor associated with the bulk on-shell actions.

Meson spectroscopy in a confining theory via AdS/CFT

Instanton effects may have implications for hadronization of quark-gluon plasma as it cools. Here we study dispersion relations of mesons in a strongly coupled plasma with an instanton background present. It will be shown that at higher energies the instanton effect diminishes and some comments on the limiting velocity of mesons in the plasma. the profile function of mesons on the gravity side is considered also because of its relevance to energy loss of quark in plasma.

Non-Abelian Aharonov-Bohm effect with the time-dependent gauge fields

We investigate the non-Abelian Aharonov-Bohm (AB) effect for time-dependent gauge fields. We prove that the non-Abelian AB phase shift related to time-dependent gauge fields, in which the electric and magnetic fields are written in the adjoint representation of $SU(N)$ generators, vanishes up to the first order expansion of the phase factor. Therefore, the flux quantization in a superconductor ring does not appear in the time-dependent Abelian or non-Abelian AB effect.

Generalized Ehrenfest's Equations and phase transition in Black Holes

We generalize Ehrenfest's equations to systems having two work terms, i.e. systems with three degrees of freedom. For black holes with two work terms we obtain nine equations instead of two to be satisfied at the critical point of a second order phase transition. We finally generalize this method to a system with an arbitrary number of degrees of freedom and found there is $\frac{N(N+1)^{2}}{2}$ equations to be satisfied at the point of a second order phase transition where $N$ is number of work terms in the first law of thermodynamics.

Generalized entropies and the expansion law of the universe

We suggest that using the first law of thermodynamics is a convenient method to obtain a correct form of the expansion law of the universe \cite{T. Padmanabhan1}. We will, then, use this idea to obtain the expansion law for a Kodama observer. By using the expansion law for a Kodama observer, we can obtain the dynamic equation of the FRW universe for deformed Horava-Lifshitz gravity. The use of the first law of thermodynamics also leads to a new approach for obtaining the Friedmann equations for f(R) and scalar tensor gravities.

Hessian matrix, specific heats, Nambu brackets, and thermodynamic geometry

As an extension to our earlier work \cite{Mirza2}, we employ the Nambu brackets to prove that the divergences of heat capacities correspond to their counterparts in thermodynamic geometry. We also obtain a simple representation for the conformal transformations that connect different thermodynamics metrics to each other. Using our bracket approach, we obtain interesting exact relations between the Hessian matrix with any number of parameters and specific heat capacities. Finally, we employ this approach to investigate some thermodynamic properties of the Meyers-Perry black holes with three spins.

Quantum teleportation with nonclassical correlated states in noninertial frames

Quantum teleportation is studied in noninertial frame, for fermionic case, when Alice and Bob share a general nonclassical correlated state. In noninertial frames two fidelities of teleportation are given. It is found that the average fidelity of teleportation from a separable and nonclassical correlated state is increasing with the amount of nonclassical correlation of the state. However, for any particular nonclassical correlated state, the fidelity of teleportation decreases by increasing the acceleration.

Black hole temperature: minimal coupling vs conformal coupling

In this article, we discuss the propagation of scalar fields in conformally transformed spacetimes with either minimal or conformal coupling. The conformally coupled equation of motion is transformed into a one-dimensional Schrödinger-like equation with an invariant potential under conformal transformation. In a second stage, we argue that calculations based on conformal coupling yield the same Hawking temperature as those based on minimal coupling. Finally, it is conjectured that the quasi normal modes of black holes are invariant under conformal transformation.

Correspondence of phase transition points and singularities of thermodynamic geometry of black holes

We explore a formulation of thermodynamic geometry of black holes and prove that the divergent points of the specific heat correspond exactly to the singularities of the thermodynamic curvature. We investigate this correspondence for different types of black holes. This formulation can also be applied to an arbitrary thermodynamic system.

Dimension of quantum channel of radiation in pure Lovelock black holes

It is known that the emission rate of entropy from a Schwarzschild black hole is exactly the same as that of a one dimensional quantum channel \cite{Beken}. We calculate the dimension of entropy emission from a $D$ dimensional pure Lovelock black holes. Our results indicate that the dimension of transmission for odd $D$ dimensional space-times is equal to $D$ and for even $D$ dimensional space-times, the dimension of quantum channel becomes $1+ε(Λ)$, where $ Λ$ is cosmological constant. It is interesting that cosmological constant may put some constraint on dimension of quantum channel in even dimensional space-times. The effect of Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP) on the dimension of transmission of entropy for a Schwarzschild black hole is also investigated.

Entanglement Generation by Electric Field Background

The quantum vacuum is unstable under the influence of an external electric field and decays into pairs of charged particles, a process which is known as the Schwinger pair production. We propose and demonstrate that this electric field can generate entanglement. Using the Schwinger pair production for constant and pulsed electric fields, we study entanglement for scalar particles with zero spins and Dirac fermions. One can observe the variation of the entanglement produced for bosonic and fermionic modes with respect to different parameters.

Entanglement of arbitrary spin modes in an expanding universe

Pair particle creation is a well-known effect on the domain of field theory in curved space-time. It is shown that the entanglement generations for spin-0 and spin-1/2 modes are different in Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) space-time. We consider the spin-1 particles in FRW space-time using Duffin-Kemmer-Petiao (DKP) equation and obtain a measure of the generated entanglement. Also, we consider the spin-3/2 particles. We argue that the absolute value of the spin does not play any role in entanglement generation and the differences are due to the bosonic or fermionic properties.

Entropic force, running gravitational coupling and future singularities

The effects of a running gravitational coupling and the entropic force on future singularities are considered. Although it is expected that the quantum corrections remove the future singularities or change the singularity type, treating the running gravitational coupling as a function of energy density is found to cause no change in the type of singularity but causes a delay in the time that a singularity occurs. The entropic force is found to replaces the singularity type $II$ by $\bar{III}$ ($a=$const., $H=$const., $\dot{H} \to \infty$, $p \to \infty$, $ρ\to \infty$) which differs from previously known type $III$ and to remove the $w$-singularity. We also consider an effective cosmological model and show that the types $I$ and $II$ are replaced by the singularity type $III$.

Phase transitions of hairy black holes in massive gravity and thermodynamic behavior of charged AdS black holes in an extended phase space

We study the thermodynamic behavior of static and spherically symmetric hairy black holes in massive gravity. In this case, the black hole is surrounded in a spherical cavity with a fixed temperature on the surface. It is observed that these black holes have a phase transition similar to the liquid-gas phase transition of a Van der Waals fluid. Also, by treating the cosmological constant $Λ$ as a thermodynamic pressure $P$, we study the thermodynamic behavior of charged anti-de Sitter black holes in an ensemble with a pressure of $P$ and an electric potential $Φ$ as the natural variables. A second order phase transition is observed to take place for all the values of the electric potential $Φ$.

Quantum Correlations of Helicity Entangled States in Non-inertial Frames Beyond Single Mode Approximation

A helicity entangled tripartite state is considered in which the degree of entanglement is preserved in non-inertial frames. It is shown that Quantum Entanglement remains observer independent. As another measure of quantum correlation, Quantum Discord has been investigated. It is explicitly shown that acceleration has no effect on the degree of quantum correlation for the bipartite and tripartite helicity entangled states. Geometric Quantum Discord as a Hilbert-Schmidt distance is computed for helicity entangled states. It is shown that living in non-inertial frames does not make any influence on this distance, either. In addition, the analysis has been extended beyond single mode approximation to show that acceleration does not have any impact on the quantum features in the limit beyond the single mode. As an interesting result, while the density matrix depends on the right and left Unruh modes, the Negativity as a measure of Quantum Entanglement remains constant. Also, Quantum Discord does not change beyond single mode approximation.

Infinite Statistics Condensate as a Model of Dark Matter

In some models, dark matter is considered as a condensate bosonic system. In this paper, we prove that condensation is also possible for particles that obey infinite statistics and derive the critical condensation temperature. We argue that a condensed state of a gas of very weakly interacting particles obeying infinite statistics could be considered as a consistent model of dark matter.

Phase transition, critical behavior, and critical exponents of Myers-Perry black holes

The critical behavior of Myers-Perry black holes with equal angular momenta in even dimensions are studied. We include the corrections beyond the semiclassical approximation on Hawking temperature in the grand canonical ensemble. Having done so, we find that the critical behavior and critical exponents of Myers-Perry black holes correspond to those of a Van der Waals liquid-gas where this analogy holds in any dimension. Also, using Ehrenfest's equations, we calculate the order of the phase transition in the semiclassical approximation for the canonical ensemble and beyond the semiclassical approximation for the grand canonical ensemble near the critical point. Finally, the Ruppeiner curvature formula is used to investigate the thermodynamic geometry of Myers-Perry black holes.

Thermodynamic geometry of a kagome Ising model in a magnetic field

We derived the thermodynamic curvature of the Ising model on a kagome lattice under the presence of an external magnetic field. The curvature was found to have a singularity at the critical point. We focused on the zero field case to derive thermodynamic curvature and its components near the criticality. According to standard scaling, scalar curvature $R$ behaves as $|β-β_{c}|^{α-2}$ for $α> 0$ where $β$ is the inverse temperature and $α$ is the critical exponent of specific heat. In the model considered here in which $α$ is zero, we found that $R$ behaves as $|β-β_{c}|^{α-1}$.

Condensation of an ideal gas with intermediate statistics on the horizon

We consider a boson gas on the stretched horizon of the Schwartzschild and Kerr black holes. It is shown that the gas is in a Bose-Einstein condensed state with the Hawking temperature $T_c=T_H$ if the particle number of the system be equal to the number of quantum bits of space-time $ N \simeq {A}/{ł_{p}^{2}}$. Entropy of the gas is proportional to the area of the horizon $(A)$ by construction. For a more realistic model of quantum degrees of freedom on the horizon, we should presumably consider interacting bosons (gravitons). An ideal gas with intermediate statistics could be considered as an effective theory for interacting bosons. This analysis shows that we may obtain a correct entropy just by a suitable choice of parameter in the intermediate statistics.

Thermodynamic Geometry of Deformed Bosons and Fermions

We construct the thermodynamic geometry of an ideal q-deformed boson and fermion gas. We investigate some thermodynamic properties such as the stability and statistical interaction. It will be shown that the statistical interaction of q-deformed boson gas is attractive, while it is repulsive for the q-deformed fermion one. Also, we will consider the singular point of the thermodynamic curvature to obtain some new results about the condensation of q-deformed bosons and show that there exist a finite critical phase transition temperature even in low dimensions. It is shown that the thermodynamic curvature of q-deformed boson and fermion quantum gases diverges as a power-law function with respect to temperature at zero temperature limit.

Two Dimensional Isotropic Harmonic Oscillator on a Time-dependent Sphere

In this paper, we investigate a two dimensional isotropic harmonic oscillator on a time-dependent spherical background. The effect of the background can be represented as a minimally coupled field to the oscillator's Hamiltonian. For a fluctuating background, transition probabilities per unit time are obtained. Transitions are possible if the energy eigenvalues of the oscillator $E_i$ and frequencies of the fluctuating background $ω_n$ satisfy the following two simple relations: $E_{j}\simeq E_{i}-\hbarω_{n}$ (stimulated emission) or $E_{j}\simeq E_{i}+\hbarω_{n}$ (absorption). This indicates that a background fluctuating at a frequency of $ω_n$ interacts with the oscillator as a quantum field of the same frequency. We believe this result is also applicable for an arbitrary quantum system defined on a fluctuating maximally symmetric background.

Condensation of an ideal gas obeying non-Abelian statistic

We consider the thermodynamic geometry of an ideal non-Abelian gas. We show that, for a certain value of the fractional parameter and at the relevant maximum value of fugacity, the thermodynamic curvature has a singular point. This indicates a condensation such as Bose-Einstein condensation for non-Abelian statistics and we work out the phase transition temperature in various dimensions.

Corrected entropy of the rotating black hole solution of the new massive gravity using the tunneling method and Cardy formula

We study the AdS rotating black hole solution for the Bergshoeff-Hohm-Townsend (BHT) massive gravity in three dimensions. The field equations of the asymptotically AdS black hole of the static metric can be expressed as the first law of thermodynamics, i.e. $dE=TdS-PdV$. The corrected Hawking-like temperature and entropy of asymptotically AdS rotating black hole are calculated using the Cardy formula and the tunneling method. Comparison of these methods will help identify the unknown leading correction parameter $β_1$ in the tunneling method.

Pseudo-Entanglement Evaluated in Noninertial Frames

We study quantum discord, in addition to entanglement, of bipartite pseudo-entanglement in noninertial frames. It is shown that the entanglement degrades from its maximum value in a stationary frame to a minimum value in an infinite accelerating frame. There is a critical region found in which, for particular cases, entanglement of states vanishes for certain accelerations. The quantum discord of pseudo-entanglement decreases by increasing the acceleration. Also, for a physically inaccessible region, entanglement and nonclassical correlation are evaluated and shown to match the corresponding values of the physically accessible region for an infinite acceleration.

Asymptotic Safety, Singularities, and Gravitational Collapse

Asymptotic safety (an ultraviolet fixed point with finite-dimensional critical surface) offers the possibility that a predictive theory of quantum gravity can be obtained from the quantization of classical general relativity. However, it is unclear what becomes of the singularities of classical general relativity, which, it is hoped, might be resolved by quantum effects. We study dust collapse with a running gravitational coupling and find that a future singularity can be avoided if the coupling becomes exactly zero at some finite energy scale. The singularity can also be avoided (pushed off to infinite proper time) if the coupling approaches zero sufficiently rapidly at high energies. However, the evolution deduced from perturbation theory still implies a singularity at finite proper time.

Generalized relation between the relative entropy and dissipation for nonequilibrium systems

Recently, Kawai, Parrondo, and Van den Broeck have related dissipation to time-reversal asymmetry. We generalized the result by considering a protocol where the physical system is driven away from an initial thermal equilibrium state with temperature $β_0$ to a final thermal equilibrium state at a different temperature. We illustrate the result using a model with an exact solution, i.e., a particle in a moving one-dimensional harmonic well.

Thermodynamic Geometry of Fractional Statistics

We extend our earlier study about the fractional exclusion statistics to higher dimensions in full physical range and in the non-relativistic and ultra-relativistic limits. Also, two other fractional statistics, namely Gentile and Polychronakos fractional statistics, will be considered and similarities and differences between these statistics will be explored. Thermodynamic geometry suggests that a two dimensional Haldane fractional exclusion gas is more stable than higher dimensional gases. Also, a complete picture of attractive and repulsive statistical interaction of fractional statistics is given. For a special kind of fractional statistics, by considering the singular points of thermodynamic curvature, we find a condensation for a non-pure bosonic system which is similar to the Bose-Einstein condensation and the phase transition temperature will be worked out.

Ruppeiner Geometry of RN Black Holes: Flat or Curved?

In some recent studies \cite{aman1, aman2, aman3}, Aman {\it et al.} used the Ruppeiner scalar as a measure of underlying interactions of Reissner-Nordström black holes, indicating that it is a non-interacting statistical system for which classical thermodynamics could be used at any scale. Here, we show that if we use the complete set of thermodynamic variables, a non-flat state space will be produced. Furthermore, the Ruppeiner curvature diverges at extremal limits, as it would for other types of black holes.
