Spectroscopy of $ρ$-meson in symmetric nuclear medium

In this work, we investigate the behavior of the light vector \(ρ\) meson in the presence of a symmetric nuclear medium at zero temperature. We calculate the mass and decay constant of the $ρ$-meson as well as the leading twist distribution amplitudes (DAs) in the light-front quark model in vacuum, which are further investigated at different baryonic densities. We also predict the Mellin moments of the DAs and decay width of the $ρ^0 \to e^+ e^-$ process in both vacuum and medium. The evolution of DAs is carried out by the leading order (LO) Efremov-Radyushkin-Brodsky-Lepage method and compared with available predictions. For better understanding of medium effects on $ρ$-meson, we have also predicted the in-medium charge ($G_C(Q^2)$), magnetic ($G_M(Q^2)$), and quadrupole ($G_Q(Q^2)$) form factors. The in-medium charge radii, magnetic moment, and quadrupole moment have also been predicted in this work. We have found that the nuclear medium induces appreciable modifications on the mass, weak decay constant, decay width, and distribution amplitudes of the \(ρ\) meson. However, the charge radii, magnetic moment, and quadrupole moment are observed to exhibit weaker sensitivity to changes in baryonic density.

Powers of facet ideals of simplicial trees

In this article, we study the linearity of the minimal free resolution of powers of facets ideals of simplicial trees. We give a complete characterization of simplicial trees for which (some) power of its facet ideal has a linear resolution. We calculate the regularity of the $t$-path ideal of a perfect rooted tree. We also obtain an upper bound for the regularity of the $t$-path ideal of a rooted tree. We give a procedure to calculate the regularity of powers of facet ideals of simplicial trees. As a consequence of this result, we study the regularity of powers of $t$-path ideals of rooted trees. We pose a regularity upper bound conjecture for facet ideals of simplicial trees, which is as follows: if $Δ$ is a $d$-dimensional simplicial tree, then $\reg(I(Δ)^s) \leq (d+1)(s-1)+\reg(I(Δ))$ for all $s \geq 1$. We prove this conjecture for some special classes of simplicial trees.

A Search for Alternative Solid Rocket Propellant Oxidizers

Carbon-based caged and heterocyclic compounds tend to have strained molecular structures leading to high heats of formation and energetic behavior. In the current paper, molecular modelling calculations for 10 caged compounds of this type along with 2 strained aliphatic compounds and 4 simple cyclic chains are presented in view of their possible use as oxidizers in propulsion applications. Density functional theory (B3LYP) was employed for the geometry optimization of the proposed molecular structure using the 6-311++G(d,p) basis set. Heats of formation of the compounds were calculated using the molecular modeling results and their specific impulses were computed using the NASA CEA [1] software package to evaluate their potentials as propellant oxidizers.

On signs of Hecke eigenvalues of Siegel eigenforms

In this article, we distinguish Siegel cuspidal eigenforms of degree two on the full symplectic group from the signs of their Hecke eigenvalues. To establish our theorem, we obtain a result towards simultaneous sign changes of eigenvalues of two Siegel eigenforms. In the course of the proof, we also prove that the Satake $p$-parameters of two different Siegel eigenforms are distinct for a set of primes $p$ of density 1. The main ingredient to prove the latter result is the theory of Galois representations attached to Siegel eigenforms.

On the resurgence and asymptotic resurgence of homogeneous ideals

Let $\mathbb{K}$ be a field and $R = \mathbb{K}[x_1, \ldots, x_n]$. We obtain an improved upper bound for asymptotic resurgence of squarefree monomial ideals in $R$. We study the effect on the resurgence when sum, product and intersection of ideals are taken. We obtain sharp upper and lower bounds for the resurgence and asymptotic resurgence of cover ideals of finite simple graphs in terms of associated combinatorial invariants. We also explicitly compute the resurgence and asymptotic resurgence of cover ideals of several classes of graphs. We characterize a graph being bipartite in terms of the resurgence and asymptotic resurgence of edge and cover ideals. We also compute explicitly the resurgence and asymptotic resurgence of edge ideals of some classes of graphs.

Recommendations for repositories and scientific gateways from a neuroscience perspective

Digital services such as repositories and science gateways have become key resources for the neuroscience community, but users often have a hard time orienting themselves in the service landscape to find the best fit for their particular needs. INCF (International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility) has developed a set of recommendations and associated criteria for choosing or setting up and running a repository or scientific gateway, intended for the neuroscience community, with a FAIR neuroscience perspective. These recommendations have neurosciences as their primary use case but are often general. Considering the perspectives of researchers and providers of repositories as well as scientific gateways, the recommendations harmonize and complement existing work on criteria for repositories and best practices. The recommendations cover a range of important areas including accessibility, licensing, community responsibility and technical and financial sustainability of a service.

Reductions of Galois representations and the theta operator

Let $p\ge 5$ be a prime, and let $f$ be a cuspidal eigenform of weight at least $2$ and level coprime to $p$ of finite slope $α$. Let $\barρ_f$ denote the mod $p$ Galois representation associated with $f$ and $ω$ the mod $p$ cyclotomic character. Under an assumption on the weight of $f$, we prove that there exists a cuspidal eigenform $g$ of weight at least $2$ and level coprime to $p$ of slope $α+1$ such that $$\barρ_f \otimes ω\simeq \barρ_g,$$ up to semisimplification. The proof uses Hida-Coleman families and the theta operator acting on overconvergent forms. The structure of the reductions of the local Galois representations associated to cusp forms with slopes in the interval $[0,1)$ were determined by Deligne, Buzzard and Gee and for slopes in $[1,2)$ by Bhattacharya, Ganguli, Ghate, Rai and Rozensztajn. We show that these reductions, in spite of their somewhat complicated behavior, are compatible with the displayed equation above. Moreover, the displayed equation above allows us to predict the shape of the reductions of a class of Galois representations attached to eigenforms of slope larger than $2$. Finally, the methods of this paper allow us to obtain upper bounds on the radii of certain Coleman families.

$η$ mesons in hot and dense asymmetric nuclear matter

We study the $ηN$ interactions in the hot and dense isospin asymmetric nuclear matter using two different approaches. In the first approach, the in-medium mass and optical potential of $η$-meson have been calculated in the chiral SU(3) model, considering the effect of explicit symmetry breaking term and range terms in the $ηN$ interaction Lagrangian density. In the second scenario, the conjunction of chiral perturbation theory and chiral SU(3) model is employed. In this case, the next-to-leading order $ηN$ interactions are evaluated from the chiral perturbation theory (ChPT), and the in-medium contribution of scalar densities are taken as input from chiral SU(3) model. We observe a larger negative mass-shift in the ChPT+chiral model approach compared to the chiral SU(3) model alone as a function of nuclear density. Moreover, the increase in the asymmetry and temperature cause a decrease in the magnitude of mass-shift. We have also studied the impact of $ηN$ scattering length $a^{ηN}$ on the $η$ meson mass $m^*_η$ and observed that the $m^*_η$ decrease more for increasing the value of scattering length.

Addressing Ancestry Disparities in Genomic Medicine: A Geographic-aware Algorithm

With declining sequencing costs a promising and affordable tool is emerging in cancer diagnostics: genomics. By using association studies, genomic variants that predispose patients to specific cancers can be identified, while by using tumor genomics cancer types can be characterized for targeted treatment. However, a severe disparity is rapidly emerging in this new area of precision cancer diagnosis and treatment planning, one which separates a few genetically well-characterized populations (predominantly European) from all other global populations. Here we discuss the problem of population-specific genetic associations, which is driving this disparity, and present a novel solution--coordinate-based local ancestry--for helping to address it. We demonstrate our boosting-based method on whole genome data from divergent groups across Africa and in the process observe signals that may stem from the transcontinental Bantu-expansion.

Certain Algebraic Invariants of Edge Ideals of Join of Graphs

Let $G$ be a simple graph and $I(G)$ be its edge ideal. In this article, we study the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of symbolic powers of edge ideals of join of graphs. As a consequence, we prove Minh's conjecture for wheel graphs, complete multipartite graphs, and a subclass of co-chordal graphs. We obtain a class of graphs whose edge ideals have regularity three. By constructing graphs, we prove that the multiplicity of edge ideals of graphs is independent from the depth, dimension, regularity, and degree of $h$-polynomial. Also, we demonstrate that the depth of edge ideals of graphs is independent from the regularity and degree of $h$-polynomial by constructing graphs.

Properties of analogues of Frobenius powers of ideals

Let $R=\mathbb{K}[X_1, \ldots , X_n ]$ be a polynomial ring over a field $\mathbb{K}$. We introduce an endomorphism $\mathcal{F}^{[m]}: R \rightarrow R $ and denote the image of an ideal $I$ of $R$ via this endomorphism as $I^{[m]}$ and call it to be the $m$ \textit{-th square power} of $I$. In this article, we study some homological invariants of $I^{[m]}$ such as regularity, projective dimension, associated primes and depth for some families of ideals e.g. monomial ideals.

Quark Matter within Polyakov Chiral SU(3) Quark Mean Field Model at Finite Temperature

Thermodynamical properties of asymmetric strange quark matter using the Polyakov Chiral $\text{SU(3)}$ quark mean field (PCQMF) model at finite temperature and chemical potential have been investigated. Within the PCQMF model, the properties of quark matter are calculated through the scalar fields $σ$, $ζ$, $δ$ and $χ$, the vector fields $ω$, $ρ$ and $ϕ$ and the Polyakov loop fields $Φ$ and $\barΦ$. The isospin splitting of constituent quark masses is observed at large isospin asymmetry. The effect of temperature and strangeness fraction on energy per baryon and equation of state is found to be appreciable in quark matter. The effect of the Polyakov loop dynamics on several thermodynamical bulk quantities such as energy density, entropy density, and trace anomaly is presented and compared with recent lattice QCD results.

Subadditivity, strand connectivity and multigraded Betti numbers of monomial ideals

Let $R = \mathbb{K}[x_1, \ldots, x_n]$ and $I \subset R$ be a homogeneous ideal. In this article, we first obtain certain sufficient conditions for the subadditivity of $R/I$. As a consequence, we prove that if $I$ is generated by homogeneous complete intersection, then subadditivity holds for $R/I$. We then study a conjecture of Avramov, Conca and Iyengar on subadditivity, when $I$ is a monomial ideal with $R/I$ Koszul. We identify several classes of edge ideals of graphs $G$ such that the subadditivity holds for $R/I(G)$. We then study the strand connectivity of edge ideals and obtain several classes of graphs whose edge ideals are strand connected. Finally, we compute upper bounds for multigraded Betti numbers of several classes of edge ideals.

Analysis of pseudoscalar and scalar $D$ mesons and charmonium decay width in hot magnetized asymmetric nuclear matter

In this article, we calculate the mass shift and decay constant of isospin averaged pseudoscalar ($D^+$,$D^0$) and scalar ($D^+_0$,$D^0_0$) mesons by the magnetic field induced quark and gluon condensates at finite density and temperature of asymmetric nuclear matter. We have calculated the in-medium chiral condensates from the chiral SU(3) mean field model and subsequently used these condensates in QCD Sum Rules (QCDSR) to calculate the effective mass and decay constant of $D$ mesons. Consideration of external magnetic field effects in hot and dense nuclear matter lead to appreciable modification in the masses and decay constants of $D$ mesons. Furthermore, we also studied the effective decay width of higher charmonium states ($ψ(3686),ψ(3770),{{χ_c}_0}(3414),{{χ_c}_2}(3556)$) as a by-product by using $^3P_0$ model which can have an important impact on the yield of $J/ψ$ mesons. The results of present work will be helpful to understand the experimental observables of the heavy ion colliders which aim to produce matter at finite density and moderate temperature.

Charmonia and Bottomonia in asymmetric magnetized hot nuclear matter

We investigate the mass-shift of $P$-wave charmonium (${χ_c}_0$, ${χ_c}_1$) and $S$ and $P$-wave bottomonium ($η_b$, $Υ$, ${χ_b}_0$ and ${χ_b}_1$) states in magnetized hot asymmetric nuclear matter using the unification of QCD sum rules (QCDSR) and chiral $SU(3)$ model. Within QCDSR, we use two approaches, $i.e.$, moment sum rule and Borel sum rule. The magnetic field induced scalar gluon condensate $\left\langle \frac{α_{s}}π G^a_{μν} {G^a}^{μν} \right\rangle$ and the twist-2 gluon operator $\left\langle \frac{α_{s}}π G^a_{μσ} {{G^a}_ν}^σ \right\rangle $ calculated in chiral $SU(3$) model are utilised in QCD sum rules to calculate the in-medium mass-shift of above mesons. The attractive mass-shift of these mesons is observed which is more sensitive to magnetic field in high density regime for charmonium, but less for bottomonium. These results may be helpful to understand the decay of higher quarkonium states to the lower quarkonium states in asymmetric heavy ion collision experiments.

Drop Impact Printing

Hydrodynamic collapse of a central air-cavity during the recoil phase of droplet impact on a superhydrophobic sieve leads to satellite-free generation of a single droplet through the sieve. Two modes of cavity formation and droplet ejection was observed and explained. The volume of the generated droplet scales with the pore size. Based on this phenomenon, we propose a new drop-on-demand printing technique. Despite significant advancements in inkjet technology, enhancement in mass-loading and particle-size have been limited due to clogging of the printhead nozzle. By replacing the nozzle with a sieve, we demonstrate printing of nanoparticle suspension with 71% mass-loading. Comparatively large particles of 20 micrometer diameter were dispensed in droplets of 80 micrometer diameter. Printing was performed for surface tension as low as 32 mNm-1 and viscosity as high as 33 mPa-s. In comparison to existing techniques, this new way of printing is widely accessible as it is significantly simple and economical.

Heavy Vector and Axial-Vector Mesons in Asymmetric Strange Hadronic Matter

We calculate the effects of finite density of isospin asymmetric strange hadronic matter, for different strangeness fractions, on the in-medium properties of vector $\left( D^{\ast}, D_{s}^{\ast}, B^{\ast}, B_{s}^{\ast}\right)$ and axial-vector $\left( D_{1}, D_{1s}, B_{1}, B_{1s}\right)$ mesons using chiral hadronic SU(3) model and QCD sum rules. We focus on the evaluation of in-medium mass-shift and shift of decay constant of above vector and axial vector mesons. In QCD sum rule approach the properties e.g. masses and decay constants of vector and axial vector mesons are written in terms of quark and gluon condensates. These quarks and gluon condensates are evaluated in the present work using chiral SU(3) model through the medium modification of scalar-isoscalar fields $σ$ and $ζ$, the scalar-isovector field $δ$ and scalar dilaton field $χ$ in strange hadronic medium which includes both nucleons as well as hyperons. As we shall see in detail the masses and decay constants of heavy vector and axial vector mesons are affected significantly due to isospin asymmetry and strangeness fraction of the medium and these modifications may influence the experimental observables produced in heavy ion collision experiments. The results of present investigations of in-medium properties of vector and axial-vector mesons at finite density of strange hadronic medium may be helpful for understanding the experimental data from heavy-ion collision experiments in-particular for the Compressed Baryonic Matter (CBM) experiment of FAIR facility at GSI, Germany.

Optimal Release Time Decision from Fuzzy Mathematical Programming Perspective

Demand for high software reliability requires rigorous testing followed by requirement of robust modeling techniques for software quality prediction. On one side, firms have to steadily manage the reliability by testing it vigorously, the optimal release time determination is their biggest concern. In past many models have been developed and much research has been devoted towards assessment of release time of software. However, majority of the work deals in crisp study. This paper addresses the problem of release time prediction using fuzzy Logic. Here we have formulated a Fuzzy release time problem considering the cost of testing under the impact of warranty period. Results show that fuzzy model has good adaptability.

Facile preparation of agarose-chitosan hybrid materials and nanocomposite ionogels using an ionic liquid via dissolution, regeneration and sol-gel transition

We report simultaneous dissolution of agarose (AG) and chitosan (CH) in varying proportions in an ionic liquid (IL), 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride [C4mim][Cl]. Composite materials were constructed from AG-CH-IL solutions using the antisolvent methanol, and IL was recovered from the solutions. Composite materials could be uniformly decorated with silver oxide (Ag2O) nanoparticles (Ag NPs) to form nanocomposites in a single step by in situ synthesis of Ag NPs in AG-CH-IL sols, wherein the biopolymer moiety acted as both reducing and stabilizing agent. Cooling of Ag NPs-AG-CH-IL sols to room temperature resulted in high conductivity and high mechanical strength nanocomposite ionogels. The structure, stability and physiochemical properties of composite materials and nanocomposites were characterized by several analytical techniques, such as Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), CD spectroscopy, differential scanning colorimetric (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), gel permeation chromatography (GPC), and scanning electron micrography (SEM). The result shows that composite materials have good thermal and conformational stability, compatibility and strong hydrogen bonding interactions between AG-CH complexes. Decoration of Ag NPs in composites and ionogels was confirmed by UV-Vis spectroscopy, SEM, TEM, EDAX and XRD. The mechanical and conducting properties of composite ionogels have been characterized by rheology and current-voltage measurements. Since Ag NPs show good antimicrobial activity, Ag NPs -AG-CH composite materials have the potential to be used in biotechnology and biomedical applications whereas nanocomposite ionogels will be suitable as precursors for applications such as quasi-solid dye sensitized solar cells, actuators, sensors or electrochromic displays.

Heavy Scalar, Vector and Axial-Vector Mesons in Hot and Dense Nuclear Medium

In this work we shall investigate the mass modifications of scalar mesons $\left( D_{0}, B_{0}\right)$,vector mesons $\left( D^{\ast}, B^{\ast}\right)$ and axial-vector mesons $\left(D_{1}, B_{1}\right)$ at finite density and temperature of the nuclear medium. The above mesons are modified in the nuclear medium through themodification of quark and gluon condensates. We shall find the medium modification of quark and gluon condensates within chiral SU(3) model through the medium modification of scalar-isoscalar fields $σ$ and $ζ$ at finite density and temperature. These medium modified quark and gluon condensates will further be used through QCD sum rules for the evaluation of in-medium properties of above mentioned scalar, vector and axial vector mesons. We shall also discuss the effects of density and temperature of the nuclear medium on the scattering lengths of above scalar, vector and axial-vector mesons. The study of the medium modifications of above mesons may be helpful for understanding their production rates in heavy-ion collision experiments. The results of present investigations of medium modifications of scalar, vector and axial-vector mesons at finite density and temperature can be verified in the Compressed Baryonic Matter (CBM) experiment of FAIR facility at GSI, Germany.

Spin Dynamics in Graphene and Graphene like Nanocarbon Doped with Nitrogen the ESR Analysis

Nano engineered spin degree of freedom in carbon system may offer desired exchange coupling with optimum spin orbit interaction which is essential, to construct solid state qubits, for fault tolerant quantum computation. The purpose of this communication is to analyze spin dynamics of, basically, four types of systems, (i) Graphene (system with inversion symmetry), (ii) Graphene like nanocarbons (GNCs, broken inversion symmetry and heterostructure, sp2 and sp3, environment), and (iii) their nitrogen doped derivatives. The spin transport data was obtained using the electron spin resonance spectroscopy (ESR) technique, carried out over 123 to 473K temperature range. Analysis of shape, linewidths of dispersion derivatives,, and g factor anisotropy has been carried out. Spin parameters such as, spin spin relaxation time, spin lattice relaxation time, spin flip parameter, spin relaxation rate, spin, momentum relaxation rate, pseudo chemical potential, density of states, effective magnetic moment, spin concentration, defect concentration, and Pauli susceptibility, has been estimated, and examined for their temperature as well as interdependence. Details of the analysis are presented. The quantitative study underlined the following facts: (i) by and large, spin dynamics in Graphene and GNCs is significantly different, (ii) transport of spin behaves in opposite fashion, after doping nitrogen, in both the systems, (iii) reduction in the magnetization has been observed for both GNCs and Graphene, after doping nitrogen, (iv) hyperfine interactions have been observed in all classes of systems except in GNCs, (v) nitrogen doped GNCs seems to be appropriate for qubit designing.

D-mesons and charmonium states in hot isospin asymmetric strange hadronic matter

We study the properties of $D$ and $\bar{D}$ mesons in hot isospin asymmetric strange hadronic matter, arising due to their interactions with the hadrons in the hyperonic medium. The interactions of $D$ and $\bar{D}$ mesons with these light hadrons are derived by generalizing the chiral SU(3) model used for the study of hyperonic matter to SU(4). We also study the mass modifications of the charmonium states $J/ψ$, $ψ(3686)$ and $ψ(3770)$ in the isospin asymmetric strange hadronic matter at finite temperatures and investigate the possibility of the decay of the charmonium states into $D\bar D$ pairs in the hot hadronic medium. The mass modifications of these charmonium states arise due to their interaction with the gluon condensates of QCD, simulated by a scalar dilaton field introduced to incorporate the broken scale invariance of QCD within the effective chiral model. We also compute the partial decay widths of the charmonium states to the $D\bar {D}$ pairs in the hadronic medium. The strong dependence on density of the in-medium properties of the $D$, $\bar{D}$ and the charmonium states, as well as the partial decay widths of charmonium states to $D\bar {D}$ pairs, found in the present investigation, will be of direct relevance in observables like open charm enhancement as well as $J/ψ$ suppression in the compressed baryonic matter (CBM) experiments at the future Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research, GSI, where the baryonic matter at high densities is planned to be produced.

$J/ψ$ and $η_{c}$ masses in isospin asymmetric hot nuclear matter - a QCD sum rule approach

We study the in-medium masses of the charmonium states $J/ψ$ and $η_{c}$ in the nuclear medium using QCD sum rule approach. These mass modifications arise due to modifications of the scalar and the twist-2 gluon condensates in the hot hadronic matter. The scalar gluon condensate, $<\frac{α_{s}}π G^a_{μν} {G^a}^{μν}>$ and the twist-2 tensorial gluon operator, $<\frac{α_{s}}π G^a_{μσ} {{G^a}_ν}^σ>$ in the nuclear medium are calculated from the medium modification of a scalar dilaton field introduced to incorporate trace anomaly of QCD within the chiral SU(3) model used in the present investigation. The effects of isospin asymmetry, density and temperature of the nuclear medium on the in-medium masses of the lowest charmonium states $J/ψ$ and $η_{c}$ mesons are investigated in the present work. The results of the present investigation are compared with the existing results on the masses of these states. The medium modifications of the masses of these charmonium states ($J/ψ$ and $η_c$) seem to be appreciable at high densities and should modify the experimental observables arising from the compressed baryonic matter produced in asymmetric heavy ion collision experiments at the future facility of FAIR, GSI.

Charmonium mass in hot asymmetric nuclear matter

We calculate the in-medium masses of J/$ψ$ and of the excited states of charmonium ($ψ$(3686) and $ψ$(3770)) in isospin asymmetric nuclear matter at finite temperatures. These mass modifications arise due to the interaction of the charmonium states with the gluon condensates of QCD, simulated by a scalar dilaton field introduced to incorporate the broken scale invariance of QCD within an effective chiral model. The change in the mass of J/$ψ$ in the nuclear matter with density is seen to be rather small, as has been shown in the literature by using various approaches, whereas, the masses of the excited states of charmonium ($ψ$(3686) and $ψ$(3770)) are seen to have considerable drop at high densities. The dependence of the masses of the charmonium states on the isospin asymmetry has also been investigated in the hot nuclear matter and is seen to be appreciable at moderate temperatures and high densities. These medium modifications of the charmonium states should modify the experimental observables arising from the compressed baryonic matter produced in asymmetric heavy ion collision experiments in the future facility of FAIR, GSI.

D mesons and charmonium states in asymmetric nuclear matter at finite temperatures

The in-medium masses of $J/ψ$ and the excited charmonium states ($ψ(3686)$ and $ψ(3770)$) are also calculated in the hot isospin asymmetric nuclear matter in the present investigation. These mass modifications arise due to the interaction of the charmonium states with the gluon condensates of QCD, simulated by a scalar dilaton field introduced to incorporate the broken scale invariance of QCD within the effective chiral model. The change in the mass of $J/ψ$ in the nuclear matter with the density is seen to be rather small, as has been shown in the literature by using various approaches, whereas, the masses of the excited states of charmonium ($ψ(3686)$ and $ψ(3770)$) are seen to have considerable drop at high densities. The present study of the in-medium masses of $D$ ($\bar{D}$) mesons as well as of the charmonium states will be of relevance for the observables from the compressed baryonic matter, like the production and collective flow of the $D$ ($\bar D$) mesons, resulting from the asymmetric heavy ion collision experiments planned at the future facility of the FAIR, GSI. D mesons in isospin asymmetric strange hadronic matter

We study the in-medium properties of $D$ and $\bar{D}$ mesons in isospin asymmetric hyperonic matter arising due to their interactions with the light hadrons. The interactions of $D$ and $\bar{D}$ mesons with these light hadrons are derived by generalizing the chiral SU(3) model used for the study of hyperonic matter to SU(4). The nucleons, the scalar isoscalar meson, $σ$ and the scalar-isovector meson, $δ$ as modified in the strange hadronic matter, modify the masses of $D$ and $\bar{D}$ mesons. It is found that as compared to the $\bar{D}$ mesons, the $D$ meson properties are more sensitive to the isospin asymmetry at high densities. The effects of strangeness in the medium on the properties of $D$ and $\bar{D}$ mesons are studied in the present investigation. The $D$ mesons ($D^0$,$D^+$) are found to undergo larger medium modifications as compared to $\bar{D}$ mesons ($\bar {D^0}$, $D^-$) with the strangeness fraction, $f_s$ and these modifications are observed to be more appreciable at high densities. The present study of the in-medium properties of $D$ and $\bar{D}$ mesons will be of relevance for the experiments in the future Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research, GSI, where the baryonic matter at high densities will be produced. The isospin asymmetric effects in the doublet $D = (D^{0}, D^{+})$ in the strange hadronic matter should show in observables like their production and flow in asymmetric heavy-ion collisions as well as in $J/ψ$ suppression.

D mesons in asymmetric nuclear matter at finite temperatures

It is found that as compared to the $\bar{D}$ mesons, the properties of the $D$ mesons are observed to be quite sensitive to the isospin-asymmetry at high densities. At finite densities, the masses of $D$ and $\bar{D}$ mesons observed at finite temperatures are seen to be higher in comparison to the zero temperature case. The present study of the in-medium properties of $D$ and $\bar{D}$ mesons will be of relevance for the experiments in the future facility of the FAIR, GSI, where the compressed baryonic matter at high densities and moderate temperatures is expected to be produced. The mass modifications of $D$ and $\bar{D}$ mesons in hot nuclear medium can lead to decay of the charmonium states ($Ψ^{'}, χ_{c}, J/Ψ$) to $D\bar{D}$ pairs in dense hadronic matter. The isospin-asymmetric effects on the properties of the open charm mesons for the doublets $D=(D^0,D^+)$ and $\bar D=(\bar D^0,D^-)$ should show in observables like their production and collective flow in asymmetric heavy-ion collisions. The small attractive potentials observed for the $\bar{D}$ mesons may also lead to formation of the $\bar{D}$ mesic nuclei.

The parameters of the model are fitted to nuclear matter saturation properties, baryon octet vacuum masses, hyperon optical potentials and low energy a kaon-nucleon scattering lengths. We study the kaon/antikaon medium modification and explore the possibility of antikaon condensation in (proto-)neutron star matter at zero as well as finite temperature/entropy and neutrino content. The effect of hyperons on kaon and antikaon optical potentials is also investigated at different stages of the neutron star evolution.
