On $GL(1|1)$ Higgs bundles

We investigate the moduli space of holomorphic $GL(1|1)$ Higgs bundles over a compact Riemann surface. The supergroup $GL(1|1)$, the simplest non-trivial example beyond abelian cases, provides an ideal setting for developing supergeometric analogues of classical results in Higgs bundle theory. We derive an explicit description of the moduli space and we study the analogue of the Narasimhan-Seshadri theorem as well as the nonabelian Hodge correspondence. Furthermore, we formulate and solve the corresponding Hitchin equations, demonstrating their compatibility with fermionic contributions. As a highlight, we discuss the related Hitchin system on $\mathbb{P}^1$ and its integrability.

Superopers revisited

The relation between special connections on the projective line, called Miura opers, and the spectra of integrable models of Gaudin type provides an important example of the geometric Langlands correspondence. The possible generalization of that correspondence to simple Lie superalgebras is much less studied. Recently some progress has been made in understanding the spectra of Gaudin models and the corresponding Bethe ansatz equations for some simple Lie superalgebras. At the same time, the original example was reformulated in terms of an intermediate object: Miura-Plücker oper. It has a direct relation to the so-called $qq$-systems, the functional form of Bethe ansatz, which, in particular, allows $q$-deformation. In this note, we discuss the notion of superoper and relate it to the examples of $qq$-systems for Lie superalgebras, which were recently studied in the context of Bethe ansatz equations. We also briefly discuss the $q$-deformation of these constructions.

The Zoo of Opers and Dualities

We investigate various spaces of $SL(r+1)$-opers and their deformations. For each type of such opers, we study the quantum/classical duality, which relates quantum integrable spin chains with classical solvable many body systems. In this context, quantum/classical dualities serve as an interplay between two different coordinate systems on the space of opers. We also establish correspondences between the underlying oper spaces, which recently had multiple incarnations in symplectic duality and bispectral duality.

On Wronskians and $qq$-systems

We discuss the $qq$-systems, the functional form of the Bethe ansatz equations for the twisted Gaudin model from a new geometric point of view. We use a concept of $G$-Wronskians, which are certain meromorphic sections of principal $G$-bundles on the projective line. In this context, the $qq$-system, similar to its difference analog, is realized as the relation between generalized minors of the $G$-Wronskian. We explain the link between $G$-Wronskians and twisted $G$-oper connections, which are the traditional source for the $qq$-systems.

Opers on the projective line, Wronskian relations, and the Bethe Ansatz

It is well-known that the spectra of the Gaudin model may be described in terms of solutions of the Bethe Ansatz equations. A conceptual explanation for the appearance of the Bethe Ansatz equations is provided by appropriate $G$-opers: $G$-connections on the projective line with extra structure. In fact, solutions of the Bethe Ansatz equations are parameterized by an enhanced version of opers called Miura opers; here, the opers appearing have only regular singularities. Feigin, Frenkel, Rybnikov, and Toledano Laredo have introduced an inhomogeneous version of the Gaudin model; this model incorporates an additional twist factor, which is an element of the Lie algebra of $G$. They exhibited the Bethe Ansatz equations for this model and gave a geometric interpretation of the spectra in terms of opers with an irregular singularity. In this paper, we consider a new approach to the study of the spectra of the inhomogeneous Gaudin model in terms of a further enhancement of opers called twisted Miura-Plücker opers and a certain system of nonlinear differential equations called the $qq$-system. We show that there is a close relationship between solutions of the inhomogeneous Bethe Ansatz equations and polynomial solutions of the $qq$-system and use this fact to construct a bijection between the set of solutions of the inhomogeneous Bethe Ansatz equations and the set of nondegenerate twisted Miura-Plücker opers. We further prove that as long as certain combinatorial conditions are satisfied, nondegenerate twisted Miura-Plücker opers are in fact Miura opers.

$(SL(N),q)$-opers, the $q$-Langlands correspondence, and quantum/classical duality

A special case of the geometric Langlands correspondence is given by the relationship between solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations for the Gaudin model and opers - connections on the projective line with extra structure. In this paper, we describe a deformation of this correspondence for $SL(N)$. We introduce a difference equation version of opers called $q$-opers and prove a $q$-Langlands correspondence between nondegenerate solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations for the XXZ model and nondegenerate twisted $q$-opers with regular singularities on the projective line. We show that the quantum/classical duality between the XXZ spin chain and the trigonometric Ruijsenaars-Schneider model may be viewed as a special case of the $q$-Langlands correspondence. We also describe an application of $q$-opers to the equivariant quantum $K$-theory of the cotangent bundles to partial flag varieties.

Baxter Q-operator from quantum K-theory

We define and study the quantum equivariant $K$-theory of cotangent bundles over Grassmannians. For every tautological bundle in the $K$-theory we define its one-parametric deformation, referred to as quantum tautological bundle. We prove that the spectrum of operators of quantum multiplication by these quantum classes is governed by the Bethe ansatz equations for the inhomogeneous $XXZ$ spin chain. In addition, we prove that each such operator corresponds to the universal elements of quantum group $\mathcal{U}_{\hbar}(\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_2)$. In particular, we identify the Baxter operator for the $XXZ$ spin chain with the operator of quantum multiplication by the exterior algebra tautological bundle. The explicit universal combinatorial formula for this operator is found. The relation between quantum line bundles and quantum dynamical Weyl group is shown.

Conformal Field Theory and Algebraic Structure of Gauge Theory

We consider various homotopy algebras related to Yang-Mills theory and two-dimensional conformal field theory (CFT). Our main objects of study are Yang-Mills $L_{\infty}$ and $C_{\infty}$ algebras and their relation to the certain algebraic structures of Lian-Zuckerman type in CFT. We also consider several examples of algebras related to gauge theory, involving first order formulations and gauge theories with matter fields.

Quantum Group as Semi-infinite Cohomology

We obtain the quantum group $SL_q(2)$ as semi-infinite cohomology of the Virasoro algebra with values in a tensor product of two braided vertex operator algebras with complementary central charges $c+\bar{c}=26$. Each braided VOA is constructed from the free Fock space realization of the Virasoro algebra with an additional q-deformed harmonic oscillator degree of freedom. The braided VOA structure arises from the theory of local systems over configuration spaces and it yields an associative algebra structure on the cohomology. We explicitly provide the four cohomology classes that serve as the generators of $SL_q(2)$ and verify their relations. We also discuss the possible extensions of our construction and its connection to the Liouville model and minimal string theory.

Quasiclassical Lian-Zuckerman Homotopy Algebras, Courant Algebroids and Gauge Theory

We define a quasiclassical limit of the Lian-Zuckerman homotopy BV algebra (quasiclassical LZ algebra) on the subcomplex, corresponding to "light modes", i.e. the elements of zero conformal weight, of the semi-infinite (BRST) cohomology complex of the Virasoro algebra associated with vertex operator algebra (VOA) with a formal parameter. We also construct a certain deformation of the BRST differential parametrized by a constant two-component tensor, such that it leads to the deformation of the $A_{\infty}$-subalgebra of the quasiclassical LZ algebra. Altogether this gives a functor the category of VOA with a formal parameter to the category of $A_{\infty}$-algebras. The associated generalized Maurer-Cartan equation gives the analogue of the Yang-Mills equation for a wide class of VOAs. Applying this construction to an example of VOA generated by $β$-$γ$ systems, we find a remarkable relation between the Courant algebroid and the homotopy algebra of the Yang-Mills theory.
