Central elements and evaluation map for the quantum queer superalgebras

We consider the RR-matrix presentations of the quantum queer superalgebra Uq(qn)U_q(q_n) and its affine counterpart Uq(q^n)U_q(\widehat q_n). We derive crossing symmetry relations for the RR-matrices and use them to construct central elements in both superalgebras. We also produce an epimorphism ev:Uq(q^n)→Uq(qn)ev:U_q(\widehat q_n)\to U_q(q_n) identical on the subalgebra isomorphic to Uq(qn)U_q(q_n).

Isomorphism between the RR-Matrix and Drinfeld Presentations of Quantum Affine Algebra: Types BB and DD

Following the approach of Ding and Frenkel [Comm. Math. Phys. 156 (1993), 277-300] for type AA, we showed in our previous work [J. Math. Phys. 61 (2020), 031701, 41 pages] that the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix in the RR-matrix presentation of the quantum affine algebra yields the Drinfeld generators in all classical types. Complete details for type CC were given therein, while the present paper deals with types BB and DD. The arguments for all classical types are quite similar so we mostly concentrate on necessary additional details specific to the underlying orthogonal Lie algebras.

Isomorphism between the RR-matrix and Drinfeld presentations of Yangian in types BB, CC and DD

It is well-known that the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix in the RR-matrix presentation of the Yangian in type AA yields generators of its Drinfeld presentation. Defining relations between these generators are known in an explicit form thus providing an isomorphism between the presentations. It has been an open problem since the pioneering work of Drinfeld to extend this result to the remaining types. We give a solution for the classical types BB, CC and DD by constructing an explicit isomorphism between the RR-matrix and Drinfeld presentations of the Yangian. It is based on an embedding theorem which allows us to consider the Yangian of rank n−1n-1 as a subalgebra of the Yangian of rank nn of the same type.

Isomorphism between the R-matrix and Drinfeld presentations of quantum affine algebra: type C

An explicit isomorphism between the RR-matrix and Drinfeld presentations of the quantum affine algebra in type AA was given by Ding and I. Frenkel (1993). We show that this result can be extended to types BB, CC and DD and give a detailed construction for type CC in this paper. In all classical types the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix in the RR-matrix presentation yields the Drinfeld generators. To prove that the resulting map is an isomorphism we follow the work of E. Frenkel and Mukhin (2002) in type AA and employ the universal RR-matrix to construct the inverse map. A key role in our construction is played by a homomorphism theorem which relates the quantum affine algebra of rank n−1n-1 in the RR-matrix presentation with a subalgebra of the corresponding algebra of rank nn of the same type.

Higher Sugawara operators for the quantum affine algebras of type A

We give explicit formulas for the elements of the center of the completed quantum affine algebra in type AA at the critical level which are associated with the fundamental representations. We calculate the images of these elements under a Harish-Chandra-type homomorphism. These images coincide with those in the free field realization of the quantum affine algebra and reproduce generators of the qq-deformed classical WW-algebra of Frenkel and Reshetikhin.

Quantization of the shift of argument subalgebras in type A

Given a simple Lie algebra g\mathfrak{g} and an element μ∈g∗μ\in\mathfrak{g}^*, the corresponding shift of argument subalgebra of S(g)\text{S}(\mathfrak{g}) is Poisson commutative. In the case where μμ is regular, this subalgebra is known to admit a quantization, that is, it can be lifted to a commutative subalgebra of U(g)\text{U}(\mathfrak{g}). We show that if g\mathfrak{g} is of type AA, then this property extends to arbitrary μμ, thus proving a conjecture of Feigin, Frenkel and Toledano Laredo. The proof relies on an explicit construction of generators of the center of the affine vertex algebra at the critical level.

Representations of centrally extended Lie superalgebra psl(2∣2)\mathfrak{psl}(2|2)

The symmetries provided by representations of the centrally extended Lie superalgebra psl(2∣2)\mathfrak{psl}(2|2) are known to play an important role in the spin chain models originated in the planar anti-de Sitter/conformal field theory correspondence and one-dimensional Hubbard model. We give a complete description of finite-dimensional irreducible representations of this superalgebra thus extending the work of Beisert which deals with a generic family of representations. Our description includes a new class of modules with degenerate eigenvalues of the central elements. Moreover, we construct explicit bases in all irreducible representations by applying the techniques of Mickelsson--Zhelobenko algebras.

A categorical approach to classical and quantum Schur-Weyl duality

We use category theory to propose a unified approach to the Schur-Weyl dualities involving the general linear Lie algebras, their polynomial extensions and associated quantum deformations. We define multiplicative sequences of algebras exemplified by the sequence of group algebras of the symmetric groups and use them to introduce associated monoidal categories. Universal properties of these categories lead to uniform constructions of the Drinfeld functor connecting representation theories of the degenerate affine Hecke algebras and the Yangians and of its q-analogue. Moreover, we construct actions of these categories on certain (infinitesimal) braided categories containing a Hecke object.

Representations of twisted q-Yangians

The twisted q-Yangians are coideal subalgebras of the quantum affine algebra associated with gl(N). We prove a classification theorem for finite-dimensional irreducible representations of the twisted q-Yangians associated with the symplectic Lie algebras sp(2n). The representations are parameterized by their highest weights or by their Drinfeld polynomials. In the simplest case of sp(2) we give an explicit description of all the representations as tensor products of evaluation modules. We prove analogues of the Poincare-Birkhoff-Witt theorem for the quantum affine algebra and for the twisted q-Yangians. We also reproduce a proof of the classification theorem for finite-dimensional irreducible representations of the quantum affine algebra by relying on its R-matrix presentation.
