Notes on interplay of the QCD and EW perturbative corrections to the pole-running top-quark mass ratio

A specific representation of the known one-loop EW correction to the relation between the pole and running $\msbar$-scheme masses of the top-quark through particle masses of the Standard Model is given within the Fleischer-Jegerlehner tadpole scheme, where the vacuum expectation value of the Higgs field is renormalized. The importance of taking into account both the EW and QCD effects in this relation in the considered case is emphasized. It is noted that the discard of the EW corrections leads to over $10\;{\rm{GeV}}$ shift in the difference between the pole and running $t$-quark masses. This magnitude exceeds essentially the modern uncertainties of the considered relation, following from the treatment of the Tevatron and LHC data where both pole and running $t$-quark masses are defined in the widespread approach when only the QCD corrections are kept in mind between them.

The ${\rm{\bar{MS}}}$-scheme $α_s^5$ QCD contributions to the Adler function and Bjorken polarized sum rule in the Crewther-type two-fold $\{β\}$-expanded representation

We consider the two-fold expansion in powers of the conformal anomaly and of the strong coupling $α_s$ for the non-singlet contributions to Adler $D$-function and Bjorken polarized sum rule calculated previously in the $\MSbar$-scheme at the four-loop level. This representation provides relations between definite terms of different loop orders appearing within the $\{β\}$-expansion of these quantities. Supposing the validity of this two-fold representation at the five-loop order and using these relations, we obtain some $\mathcal{O}(α_s^5)$ corrections to the $D$-function, to the $R$-ratio of $e^+e^-$-annihilation into hadrons and to Bjorken polarized sum rule. These corrections are presented both analytically in the case of the generic simple gauge group and numerically for the $SU(3)$ color group. The arguments in the favor of validity of the two-fold representation are given at least at the four-loop level. Within the $\{β\}$-expansion procedure the analytical Riemann $ζ_4$-contributions to the five-loop expressions for the Adler function and Bjorken polarized sum rule are also fixed for the case of the generic simple gauge group.

Exact $β$-function in Abelian and non-Abelian $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric gauge models and its analogy with QCD $β$-function in C-scheme

For $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory without matter it is demonstrated that there is a class of renormalization schemes, in which the exact Novikov, Shifman, Vainshtein, and Zakharov (NSVZ) formula for the renormalization group $β$-function, defined in terms of the renormalized coupling constant, is valid. These schemes are related with each other by finite renormalizations forming a one-parameter commutative subgroup of general renormalization group transformations. The analogy between the exact $β$-function in $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory without matter and the $β$-function of quantum chromodynamics in the C-scheme is discussed.

The three-loop Adler $D$-function for ${\cal N}=1$ SQCD with various renormalization prescriptions

The three-loop Adler $D$-function for ${\cal N}=1$ SQCD in the $\overline{\mbox{DR}}$ scheme is calculated. It appears that the result does not satisfy NSVZ-like equation which relates the $D$-function to the anomalous dimension of the matter superfields. However this NSVZ-like equation can be restored by a special tuning of the renormalization scheme. Also we demonstrate that the $D$-function defined in terms of the bare coupling does not satisfy the NSVZ-like equation in the case of using the regularization by dimensional reduction. The scheme-dependence of the $D$-function written in the form of the $β$-expansion is briefly discussed.

Adler function and Bjorken polarized sum rule: Perturbation expansions in powers of $SU(N_c)$ conformal anomaly and studies of the conformal symmetry limit

We consider a new form of analytical perturbation theory expansion in the massless $SU(N_c)$ theory, for the non-singlet part of the $e^+e^-$-annihilation to hadrons Adler function $D^{ns}$ and of the Bjorken sum rule of the polarized lepton-hadron deep-inelastic scattering $C_{ns}^{Bjp}$, and demonstrate its validity at the $O(α_s^4)$-level at least. It is a two-fold series in terms of powers of the conformal anomaly and of $SU(N_c)$ coupling $α_s$. Explicit expressions are obtained for the $\{β\}$-expanded perturbation coefficients at $O(α_s^4)$ level in $\bar{\rm MS}$ scheme, for both considered physical quqantities. Comparisons of the terms in the $\{β\}$-expanded coefficients are made with the corresponding terms obtained by using extra gluino degrees of freedom, or skeleton-motivated expansion, or $R_δ$-scheme motivated expansion in the Principle of Maximal Conformality. Relations between terms of the $\{β\}$-expansion for the $D^{ns}$- and $C_{ns}^{Bjp}$-functions, which follow from the conformal symmetry limit and its violation, are presnted. The relevance to the possible new analysis of the experimental data for the Adler function and Bjorken sum rule is discussed.

From perturbative calculations of the QCD static potential towards four-loop pole-running heavy quarks masses relation

The summary of the available semi-analytical results for the three-loop corrections to the QCD static potential and for the $\mathcal{O}(α_s^4)$ contributions to the ratio of the running and pole heavy quark masses are presented. The procedure of the determination of the dependence of the four-loop contribution to the pole-running heavy quarks mass ratio on the number of quarks flavours, based on application of the least squares method is described. The necessity of clarifying the reason of discrepancy between the numerical uncertainties of the $α_s^4$ coefficients in the mass ratio, obtained by this mathematical method by the direct numerical calculations is emphasised.

On the flavour dependence of the $\mathcal{O}(α_s^4)$ correction to the relation between running and pole heavy quark masses

Recently the four-loop perturbative QCD contributions to the relations between pole and running masses of charm, bottom and top quarks were evaluated in the $\rm{\overline{MS}}$-scheme with identical numerical error bars. In this work the flavour dependence of the $\mathcal{O}(α_s^4)$ correction to these asymptotic series is obtained in the semi-analytical form with the help of the least squares method. The numerical structure of the corresponding asymptotic perturbative relations between pole and running $c$, $b$ and $t$-quark masses is considered and the theoretical errors of the $\mathcal{O}(α_s^4)$-contributions are discussed. The explicit dependence for these relations on the renormalization scale $μ^2$ and the flavour number $n_l$ is presented.

The $\{β\}$-expansion formalism in perturbative QCD and its extension

We discuss the $\{ β\}$-expansion for renormalization group invariant quantities tracing this expansion to the different contractions of the corresponding incomplete BPHZ $R$-operation. All of the coupling renormalizations, which follow from these contractions, should be taken into account for the $\{ β\}$-expansion. We illustrate this feature considering the nonsinglet Adler function $D^\text{NS}$ in the third order of perturbation. We propose a generalization of the $\{ β\}$-expansion for the renormalization group covariant quantities -- the $\{ β,γ\}$-expansion.

The NSVZ scheme for ${\cal N}=1$ SQED with $N_f$ flavors, regularized by the dimensional reduction, in the three-loop approximation

At the three-loop level we analyze, how the NSVZ relation appears for ${\cal N}=1$ SQED regularized by the dimensional reduction. This is done by the method analogous to the one which was earlier used for the theories regularized by higher derivatives. Within the dimensional technique, the loop integrals cannot be written as integrals of double total derivatives. However, similar structures can be written in the considered approximation and are taken as a starting point. Then we demonstrate that, unlike the higher derivative regularization, the NSVZ relation is not valid for the renormalization group functions defined in terms of the bare coupling constant. However, for the renormalization group functions defined in terms of the renormalized coupling constant, it is possible to impose boundary conditions to the renormalization constants giving the NSVZ scheme in the three-loop order. They are similar to the all-loop ones defining the NSVZ scheme obtained with the higher derivative regularization, but are more complicated. The NSVZ schemes constructed with the dimensional reduction and with the higher derivative regularization are related by a finite renormalization in the considered approximation.

$\{β\}$-expansion in QCD, its conformal symmetry limit: theory + applications

The basis of the $\{β\}$-expansion for the perturbative series evaluated in the $\overline{MS}$ scheme for the renormalization group invariant quantities is summarized.Comparison with a similar representation, used within the BLM-motivated Principle of Maximal Conformality,is discussed. We stress that the original $\{β\}$-expansion contains a completed list of terms rather than its PMC analog. The arguments in favour of the complete $\{β\}$-expansion are presented. They are based on the relations which follow from the power $β$-function generalization of the Crewther relation for the nonsinglet $\overline{MS}$ contributions to the Adler $D^{NS}$-functionand to the Bjorken sum rule $C^{Bjp}_{NS}$ of the polarized lepton-nucleon scattering. The terms of the complete $\{β\}$-expansionat the $O(α_s^3)$ level for $D^{NS}$ and $C^{Bjp}_{NS}$ are presented. These perturbative results are expressed in the PMC-type form. The problem of applications of these expressions for phenomenological applications is summarized.

Fourth-order QCD renormalization group quantities in the {\rm{V}}-scheme and the relation of the $β$-function to the Gell-Mann--Low function in QED

The semi-analytical $O(α_s^4)$ expression for the renormalization group $β$-function in the ${\rm{V}}$-scheme is obtained in the case of the $SU(N_c)$ gauge group. In the process of calculations we use the existing information about the three-loop perturbative approximation for the QCD static potential, evaluated in the $\rm{\overline{MS}}$-scheme. The comparison of the numerical values of the third and fourth coefficients for the QCD RG $β$- functions in the gauge-independent ${\rm{V}}$- and $\rm{\overline{MS}}$-schemes and in minimal MOM scheme in the the Landau gauge is presented. The phenomenologically-oriented comparisons for the coefficients of $O(α_s^4)$ expression for the $e^+e^-$-annihilation R-ratio in these schemes are presented. It is shown, that taking into account of these QCD contributions are of vital importance and lead to the drastic decrease of the scheme-dependence ambiguities of the fourth-order perturbative QCD approximations for the $e^+e^-$ annihilation R-ratio for the number of active flavours,$n_f=5$ in particular. We demonstrate that in the case of QED with $N$-types of leptons the coefficients of the $β^{\rm{V}}$-function are closely related to the ones of the Gell-Mann--Low $Ψ$-function and emphasise that they start to differ from each other at the fourth order due to the appearance of the extra $N^2$-contribution in the V-scheme. The source of this extra correction is clarified. The general all-order QED relations between the coefficients of the $β^{\rm{V}}$- and $Ψ$-functions are discussed.

Generalization of the Brodsky-Lepage-Mackenzie optimization within the $\{β\}$-expansion and the Principle of Maximal Conformality

We discuss generalizations of the BLM optimization procedure for renormalization group invariant quantities. In this respect, we discuss in detail the features and construction of the $\{β\}$--expansion representation instead of the standard perturbative series with regards to the Adler $D$-function and Bjorken polarized sum rules obtained in order of ${\cal O}(α_s^4)$. Based on the $\{β\}$--expansion we analyse different schemes of optimization, including the corrected Principle of Maximal Conformality, numerically illustrating their results. We suggest our scheme for the series optimization and apply it to both the above quantities.

Structure of three-loop contributions to the beta-function of N=1 SQED with N_f flavors, regularized by the dimensional reduction

In the case of using the higher derivative regularization for $N=1$ SQED with $N_f$ flavors the loop integrals giving the $β$-function are integrals of double total derivatives in the momentum space. This feature allows to reduce one of the loop integrals to an integral of the $δ$-function and to derive the NSVZ relation for the renormalization group functions defined in terms of the bare coupling constant. In this paper we consider $N=1$ SQED with $N_f$ flavors regularized by the dimensional reduction in the $\overline{\mbox{DR}}$-scheme. Evaluating the scheme-dependent three-loop contribution to the $β$-function proportional to $(N_f)^2$ we find the structures analogous to integrals of the $δ$-singularities. After adding the scheme-independent terms proportional to $(N_f)^1$ we obtain the known result for the three-loop $β$-function.

The four-loop renormalization group QCD and QED $β$-functions in the $V$-scheme and their analogy with the Gell-Mann--Low function in QED and QCD

The semi-analytical expression for the forth coefficient of the renormalization group $β$-function in the ${\rm{V}}$-scheme is obtained in the case of the $SU(N_c)$ gauge group. In the process of calculations we use the three-loop perturbative approximation for the QCD static potential, evaluated in the $\rm{\overline{MS}}$-scheme. The importance of getting more detailed expressions for the $n_f$-independent three-loop contribution to the static potential, obtained at present by two groups, is emphasised. The comparison of the numerical structure of the four-loop approximations for the RG $β$- function of QCD in the gauge-independent ${\rm{V}}$- and $\rm{\overline{MS}}$-schemes and in the minimal MOM scheme in the Landau gauge are presented. Considering the limit of QED with $N$-types of leptons we discover that the $β^{\rm{V}}$-function is starting to differ from the Gell-Mann--Low function $Ψ(α_{\rm{MOM}})$ at the level of the forth-order perturbative corrections, receiving the proportional to $N^2$ additional term. Taking this feature into account, we propose to consider the $β^{\rm{V}}$-function as the most theoretically substantiated analog of the Gell-Man--Low function in QCD.

The generalized BLM approach to fix scale-dependence in QCD: the current status of investigations

I present a brief review of the generalized Brodsky-Lepage-McKenzie (BLM) approaches to fix the scale-dependence of the renormalization group (RG) invariant quantities in QCD. At first, these approaches are based on the expansions of the coefficients of the perturbative series for the RG-invariant quantities in the products of the coefficients $β_i$ of the QCD $β$-function, which are evaluated in the MS-like schemes. As a next step all $β_i$-dependent terms are absorbed into the BLM-type scale(s) of the powers of the QCD couplings. The difference between two existing formulations of the above mentioned generalizations based on the seBLM approach and the Principle of Maximal Conformality (PMC) are clarified in the case of the Bjorken polarized deep-inelastic scattering sum rule. Using the conformal symmetry-based relations for the non-singlet coefficient functions of the Adler D-function and of Bjorken polarized deep-inelastic scattering sum rules $C^{\rm Bjp}_{\rm NS}(a_s)$ the $β_i$-dependent structure of the NNLO approximation for $C^{\rm Bjp}_{\rm NS}(a_s)$ is predicted in QCD with $n_{gl}$-multiplet of gluino degrees of freedom, which appear in SUSY extension of QCD. The importance of performing the analytical calculation of the N$^3$LO additional contributions of $n_{gl}$ gluino multiplet to $C^{\rm Bjp}_{\rm NS}(a_s)$ for checking the presented in the report NNLO prediction and for the studies of the possibility to determine the discussed $\{β\}$-expansion pattern of this sum rule at the $O(a_s^4)$-level is emphasised.

Conformal symmetry limit of QED and QCD and identities between perturbative contributions to deep-inelastic scattering sum rules

Conformal symmetry-based relations between concrete perturbative QED and QCD approximations for the Bjorken, the Ellis-Jaffe sum rules of polarized lepton- nucleon deep-inelastic scattering (DIS), the Gross-Llewellyn Smith sum rules of neutrino-nucleon DIS, and for the Adler functions of axial-vector and vector channels are derived. They result from the application of the operator product expansion to three triangle Green functions, constructed from the non-singlet axial-vector, and two vector currents, the singlet axial-vector and two non-singlet vector currents and the non-singlet axial-vector, vector and singlet vector currents in the limit, when the conformal symmetry of the gauge models with fermions is considered unbroken. We specify the perturbative conditions for this symmetry to be valid in the case of the $U(1)$ and $SU(N_c)$ models. The all-order perturbative identity following from the conformal invariant limit between the concrete contributions to the Bjorken, the Ellis-Jaffe and the Gross-Llewellyn Smith sum rules is proved. The analytical and numerical $O(α^4)$ and $O(α_s^2)$ conformal symmetry based approximations for these sum rules and for the Adler function of the non-singlet vector currents are summarized. Possible theoretical applications of the results presented are discussed.

Scheme independent consequence of the NSVZ relation for N=1 SQED with N_f flavors

The exact NSVZ $β$-function is obtained for ${\cal N}=1$ SQED with $N_f$ flavors in all orders of the perturbation theory, if the renormalization group functions are defined in terms of the bare coupling constant and the theory is regularized by higher derivatives. However, if the renormalization group functions are defined in terms of the renormalized coupling constant, the NSVZ relation between the $β$-function and the anomalous dimension of the matter superfields is valid only in a certain (NSVZ) scheme. We prove that for ${\cal N}=1$ SQED with $N_f$ flavors the NSVZ relation is valid for the terms proportional to $(N_f)^1$ in an arbitrary subtraction scheme, while the terms proportional to $(N_f)^k$ with $k\ge 2$ are scheme dependent. These results are verified by an explicit calculation of a three-loop $β$-function and a two-loop anomalous dimension made with the higher derivative regularization in the NSVZ and MOM subtraction schemes. In this approximation it is verified that in the MOM subtraction scheme the renormalization group functions obtained with the higher derivative regularization and with the dimensional reduction coincide.

The NSVZ beta-function in supersymmetric theories with different regularizations and renormalization prescriptions

We briefly review the calculations of quantum corrections related with the exact NSVZ $β$-function in ${\cal N}=1$ supersymmetric theories, paying especial attention to the scheme dependence of the results. It is explained, how the NSVZ relation is obtained for the renormalization group functions defined in terms of the bare coupling constant if a theory is regularized by higher derivatives. Also we describe, how to construct a special renormalization prescription which gives the NSVZ relation for the renormalization group functions defined in terms of the renormalized coupling constant exactly in all orders for Abelian supersymmetric theories, regularized by higher derivatives. The scheme dependence of the NSVZ $β$-function (for the renormalization group functions defined in terms of the renormalized coupling constant) is discussed in the non-Abelian case. It is shown that in this case the NSVZ $β$-function leads to a certain scheme-independent equality.

NSVZ scheme with the higher derivative regularization for N=1 SQED

The exact NSVZ relation between a $β$-function of ${\cal N}=1$ SQED and an anomalous dimension of the matter superfields is studied within the Slavnov higher derivative regularization approach. It is shown that if the renormalization group functions are defined in terms of the bare coupling constant, this relation is always valid. In the renormalized theory the NSVZ relation is obtained in the momentum subtraction scheme supplemented by a special finite renormalization. Unlike the dimensional reduction, the higher derivative regularization allows to fix this finite renormalization. This is made by imposing the conditions $Z_3(α,μ=Λ)=1$ and $Z(α,μ=Λ)=1$ on the renormalization constants of ${\cal N}=1$ SQED, where $Λ$ is a parameter in the higher derivative term. The results are verified by the explicit three-loop calculation. In this approximation we relate the $\bar{DR}$ scheme and the NSVZ scheme defined within the higher derivative approach by the finite renormalization.

Analytical eighth-order light-by-light QED contributions from leptons with heavier masses to the anomalous magnetic moment of electron

The important consequences of the recent results of the numerical evaluations of eighth and tenth order QED contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment of electron are commented. The correctness of the results of the numerical evaluation of new eighth order QED corrections to the electron anomaly are supported by the demonstration of their consistency with the new analytical expressions for the QED contributions to $a_e$ from the diagrams with fourth-order light-by-light scattering muon and tau-lepton loops. The consistency of the similar results are demonstrated in the case of eighth order massive dependent contribution to the muon anomalous magnetic moment.

Conformal symmetry based relation between Bjorken and Ellis-Jaffe sum rules

The identity between expressions for the coefficient functions of the Bjorken and Ellis-Jaffe sum rules is derived in the conformal invariant limit of massless U(1) theory, namely in the perturbative quenched QED model, and in the same limit of the massless $SU(N_c)$ gauge theory with fermions. The derivation is based on the comparison of results of application of the operator product expansion approach to the dressed triangle Green functions of singlet Axial vector- Vector-Vector and non-singlet Axial vector-Vector-Vector fermion currents in the limit, when the conformal symmetry is not violated. The expressions for the $O(α_s^3)$ approximation of the non-singlet coefficient function, derived in the conformal invariant limit of $SU(N_c)$ group, is reminded. Its possible application in the phenomenological analysis of the experimental data for the Bjorken polarized sum rule is outlined.

New perturbation theory representation of the conformal symmetry breaking effects in gauge quantum field theory models

We propose a hypothesis on the detailed structure for the representation of the conformal symmetry breaking term in the basic Crewther relation generalized in the perturbation theory framework in QCD renormalized in the ${\rm \bar{MS}}$ scheme. We establish the validity of this representation in the $O(α_s^4)$ approximation. Using the variant of the generalized Crewther relation formulated here allows finding relations between specific contributions to the QCD perturbation series coefficients for the flavor nonsinglet part of the Adler function $D^{ns}_A$ for the electron-positron annihilation in hadrons and to the perturbation series coefficients for the Bjorken sum rule $S_\text{Bjp}$ for the polarized deep-inelastic lepton-nucleon scattering. We find new relations between the $α_s^4$ coefficients of $D^{ns}_A$ and $S_\text{Bjp}$. Satisfaction of one of them serves as an additional theoretical verification of the recent computer analytic calculations of the terms of order $α_s^4$ in the expressions for these two quantities.

New extended Crewther-type relation and the consequences of multiloop perturbative results

We discuss the current status of the investigations of the conformal symmetry breaking contributions to three forms for the QCD generalizations of the Crewther relation. The new third form of the extension of this relation is considered in more detail. Particular attention is paid to the discussions of the applications of the $β$-expansion formalism proposed previously by one of us (SVM). Several relations between 5-loop contributions to the Adler D-function $D^{NS}_{A}$ and to the polarized Bjorken sum rule $S_\text{Bjp}$ are presented. One of them gives the additional confirmation of the correctness of the advanced analytical computer calculations of order $α_s^4$ contributions to $D^{NS}_{A}$ and $S_\text{Bjp}$ in the general $SU(N_c)$ gauge group.

The absence of QCD $β$-function factorization property of the generalized Crewther relation in the 't Hooft $\bar{MS}$-based scheme

We apply the 't Hooft $\bar{MS}$-based scheme to study the scheme-dependence of the QCD generalization of Crewther relation for the product of the normalised non-singlet perturbative contributions to the $e^+e^-$-annihilation Adler function and to the Bjorken sum rule of the polarized lepton-nucleon deep-inelastic scattering process. We prove that after the transformations from the pure $\bar{MS}$-scheme to the 't Hooft scheme the characteristic $\bar{MS}$-scheme theoretical property of this relation, namely the factorization of the $β$-function in its conformal symmetry breaking part, disappears. Another "non-comfortable" theoretical consequence of the application of this prescription in $\mathcal{N}=1$ SUSY QED model is mentioned. It is shown, that within the 't Hooft scheme the expansions of Green functions in terms of the Lambert function is simplified in high orders of perturbation theory. This may be considered as the attractive feature of the 't Hooft scheme, which manifest itself in high-order perturbative phenomenological applications.

The analytical singlet $α_s^4$ QCD contributions into the $e^+e^-$-annihilation Adler function and the generalized Crewther relations

The generalized Crewther relations in the channels of the non-singlet and vector quark currents are considered. They follow from the double application of the operator product expansion approach to the same axial vector-vector-vector triangle amplitude in two regions, adjoining to the angle sides $(x,y)$ (or $p^2,q^2$). We assume that the generalized Crewther relations in these two kinematic regimes result in the existence of the same perturbation expression for two products of the coefficient functions of annihilation and deep-inelastic scattering processes in the non-singlet and vector channels. Taking into account the 4-th order result for $S_{GLS}$ and the perturbative effects of the violation of the conformal symmetry in the generalized Crewther relation, we obtain the analytical contribution to the singlet $α_s^4$ correction to the $D_A^{V}$-function. Its a-posteriori comparison with the recent result of direct diagram-by-diagram evaluation of the singlet 4-th order corrections to $D_A^{V}$- function demonstrates the coincidence of the predicted and obtained $ζ_3^2$-contributions to the singlet term. They can be obtained in the conformal invariant limit from the original Crewther relation. On the contrary to previous belief, the appearance of $zeta_3$-terms in perturbative series in gauge models does not contradict to the property of conformal symmetry and can be considered as ragular feature. The Banks-Zaks motivated relation between our predicted and obtained 4-th order corrections is mentioned. This confirms Baikov-Chetyrkin-Kuhn expectation that the generalized Crewther relation in the channel of vector currents receives additional singlet contribution, which in this order of perturbation theory is proportional to the first coefficient of the QCD $β$-function.

Riemann $ζ(3)$- terms in perturbative QED series, conformal symmetry and the analogies with structures of multiloop effects in N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory

As was discovered recently, 5-loop perturbative quenched QED approximation to the QED $β$-function consist from the rational term and the term proportional to $ζ(3)$-function. It is stressed, that this feature is also manifesting itself in the conformal invariant pqQED series for the 4-loop approximation to the anomalous mass dimension. The 4-loop pqQED expression for the singlet contribution into the Ellis-Jaffe polarized sum rule is obtained. It coincides with the similar approximation for the non-singlet coefficient function of Ellis-Jaffe sum rule and of Bjorken polarized sum rule. It is stressed that this property is valid in all orders of perturbation theory thanks to the conformal symmetry of pqQED series and to Crewther relation, which relates non-singlet and singlet coefficient functions of Ellis-Jaffe sum rule with the coefficient functions of non-singlet and singlet Adler D-functions. The basic steps of derivation of Crewther relation in the singlet channel from the AVV triangle diagram are outlined. The similarities between analytical structure of asymptotic series for the coefficient functions in pqQED and for the anomalous dimensions in N=4 conformal invariant supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory are observed. The guess is proposed that the appearance of $ζ(3)$-terms in the pqQED expressions and the absence of $ζ(5)$-terms at the same level is the indication of absence of "wrapping" interactions in pqQED.

The effects of higher order perturbative QCD corrections up to order $α_s^4$-terms are considered. Infrared renormalons and the relations between the Gross-Llewellyn Smith and the Bjorken polarized and unpolarized sum rules

It is demonstrated that the infrared renormalon calculus indicates that the QCD theoretical expressions for the Gross-Llewelln Smith sum rules and for the Bjorken polarized and unpolarized ones contain an identical negative twist-4 1/Q^2 correction. This observation is supported by the consideration of the results of calculations of the corresponding twist-4 matrix elements. Together with the indication of the similarity of perturbative QCD corrections to these three sum rules, this observation leads to simple new theoretical relations between the Gross-Llewellyn Smith and Bjorken polarized and unpolarized sum rules in the energy region $Q^2\geq 1 GeV^2$. The validity of this relation is checked using concrete experimental data for the Gross-Llewellyn Smith and Bjorken polarized sum rules

Comparison of the Gottfried and Adler sum rules within the large-Nc expansion

The Adler sum rule for deep inelastic neutrino scattering measures the isospin of the nucleon and is hence exact. By contrast, the corresponding Gottfried sum rule for charged lepton scattering was based merely on a valence picture and is modified both by perturbative and non-perturbative effects. Noting that the known perturbative corrections to two-loop order are suppressed by a factor 1/N_c^2, relative to those for higher moments, we propose that this suppression persists at higher orders and also applies to higher-twist effects. Moreover, we propose that the differences between the corresponding radiative corrections to higher non-singlet moments in charged-lepton and neutrino deep inelastic scattering are suppressed by 1/N_c^2, in all orders of perturbation theory. For the first moment, in the Gottfried sum rule, the substantial discrepancy between the measured value and the valence-model expectation may be attributed to an intrinsic isospin asymmetry in the nucleon sea, as is indeed the case in a chiral-soliton model, where the discrepancy persists in the limit N_c-->infinity.

Assuming the hypothesis of vacuum dominance and/or unitarity symmetry to estimate latter, it is found that \hat{B}=1.2\pm 0.1. The NLO DGLAP extraction of alpha_s and higher twist terms from CCFR xF_3 and F_2 structure functions data: results and scale dependence

We perform a detailed NLO analysis of the combined CCFR xF_3 and F_2 structure functions data and extract the value of alpha_s, parameters of distributions and higher-twist (HT) terms using a direct solution of the DGLAP equation. The value of alpha_s(M_Z)=0.1222\pm 0.0048 (exp) \pm 0.0026 (theor) is obtained. Next-to-next-to-leading order QCD analysis of the CCFR data for xF_3 and F_2 structure functions of the deep-inelastic neutrino-nucleon scattering

The next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) non-singlet QCD analysis of the experimental data of the CCFR collaboration for the $xF_3$ and $F_2$ structure functions of the deep-inelastic scattering of neutrinos and antineutrinos on the nucleon by means of the Jacobi polinomial expansion method is made. The target mass corrections are also taken into account. We demonstrate that the NNLO corrections have the important: they are decreasing the difference between the values of $α_s(M_Z)$, extracted from the NLO fit of $xF_3$ data and from the NLO non-singlet fit of the combined $xF_3$ and $F_2$ CCFR data. The obtained NNLO results for $α_s(M_Z)$ are :$α_s(M_Z)=0.109 \pm 0.003(stat) \pm 0.005(syst) \pm 0.003 (theor)$ (from $xF_3$ data) and $α_s(M_Z)=0.111\pm 0.002 (stat) \pm 0.003 (syst) \pm 0.003 (theor)$ (from the combined $xF_3$ and $F_2$ data). We also estimate the values of the order $O(α_s^2)$-corrections to the Gottfried sum rule.

Estimates of the higher-order QCD corrections to R(s), R_τ and deep-inelasstic scattering sum rules

We present the attempt to study the problem of the estimates of higher-order perturbative corrections to physical quantities in the Euclidean region. Our considerations are based on the application of the scheme-invariant methods, namely the principle of minimal sensitivity and the effective charges approach. We emphasize, that in order to obtain the concrete results for the physical quantities in the Minkowskian region the results of application of this formalism should be supplemented by the explicite calculations of the effects of the analytical continuation. We present the estimates of the order $O(α^{4}_{s})$ QCD corrections to the Euclidean quantities: the $e^+e^-$-annihilation $D$-function and the deep inelastic scattering sum rules, namely the non-polarized and polarized Bjorken sum rules and to the Gross--Llewellyn Smith sum rule. The results for the $D$-function are further applied to estimate the $O(α_s^4)$ QCD corrections to the Minkowskian quantities $R(s) = σ_{tot} (e^{+}e^{-} \to {\rm hadrons}) / σ(e^{+}e^{-} \to μ^{+} μ^{-})$ and $R_τ = Γ(τ\to ν_τ + {\rm hadrons}) / Γ(τ\to ν_τ \overlineν_{e} e)$. The problem of the fixation of the uncertainties due to the $O(α_s^5)$ corrections to the considered quantities is also discussed.

On Connection between Coefficient Functions for Deep-Inelastic and Annihilation Processes

It has been shown that the one-loop behavior of the axial anomaly, occurring when the axial current is appropriately normalized, leads to the cancellation of the corrections of type $C_F^N{\bar α}_s^N,~~ (N\geq 1) $ in the Crewther relation for the coefficient functions of deep-inelastic and annihilation processes. The arguments in favour of the overall factorization of the factor $β({\bar α}_s)/ {\bar α}_s$ in all orders of perturbation theory in this relation are presented.

The Ellis-Jaffe Sum Rule: The Estimates of the Next-to-Next-to- Leading-Order QCD Corrections

The procedure of the estimates of the higher-order perturbative QCD corrections to the physical quantities is generalized to the case when the quantities under consideration obey the renormalization group equationts with the corresponding anomalous dimension function. This procedure is used to estimate the $α_s^3$-corrections to the singlet part of the Ellis-Jaffe sum rule for $f=3$ numbers of flavours.
