Abstract

Let Q(α)Q(α) be the simplest cubic field, it is known that Q(α)Q(α) can be generated by adjoining a root of the irreducible equation x3−kx2+(k−3)x+1=0x^{3}-kx^{2}+(k-3)x+1=0, where kk belongs to QQ. In this paper we have established a relationship between αα, α′α' and k,k′k,k' where αα is a root of the equation x3−kx2+(k−3)x+1=0x^{3}-kx^{2}+(k-3)x+1=0 and α′α' is a root of the same equation with kk replaced by k′k' and Q(α)=Q(α′)Q(α)=Q(α').
