Robin inequality for 7−7-free integers

Abstract

Recall that an integer is t−t-free iff it is not divisible by ptp^t for some prime p.p. We give a method to check Robin inequality σ(n)<eγnlog⁡log⁡n,σ(n) < e^γn\log\log n, for t−t-free integers nn and apply it for t=6,7.t=6,7. We introduce Ψt,Ψ_t, a generalization of Dedekind ΨΨ function defined for any integer t≥2t\ge 2 by Ψt(n):=n∏p∣n(1+1/p+...+1/pt−1).Ψ_t(n):=n\prod_{p | n}(1+1/p+...+1/p^{t-1}). If nn is t−t-free then the sum of divisor function σ(n)σ(n) is ≤Ψt(n). \le Ψ_t(n). We characterize the champions for x↦Ψt(x)/x,x \mapsto Ψ_t(x)/x, as primorial numbers. Define the ratio Rt(n):=Ψt(n)nlog⁡log⁡n.R_t(n):=\frac{Ψ_t(n)}{n\log\log n}. We prove that, for all tt, there exists an integer n1(t),n_1(t), such that we have Rt(Nn)<eγR_t(N_n)< e^γ for n≥n1,n\ge n_1, where Nn=∏k=1npk.N_n=\prod_{k=1}^np_k. Further, by combinatorial arguments, this can be extended to Rt(N)≤eγR_t(N)\le e^γ for all N≥Nn,N\ge N_n, such that n≥n1(t).n\ge n_1(t). This yields Robin inequality for t=6, 7.t=6,\,7. For tt varying slowly with NN, we also derive Rt(N)<eγ.R_t(N)< e^γ.
