Cosilting modules arising from cotilting objects

preprint2021arXivOpen access

Abstract

Let RR be a ring. In this paper, we study the characterization of cosilting modules and establish a relation between cosilting modules and cotilting objects in a Grothendieck category. We proved that each cosilting right RR-module TT can be described as a cotilting object in σ[R/I]σ[R/I], where II is a right ideal of RR determined by TT and σ[R/I]σ[R/I] is the full subcategory of right RR-modules, consisting of submodules of R/IR/I-generated modules. Conversely, under some suitable conditions, if TT is a cotilting object in σ[R/I]σ[R/I], then TT is cosilting.
