Abstract

Let RR be any ring containing a non-tivial idempotent element ee. Let ℑ:R→R\Im: R\rightarrow R be a mapping such that ℑ(ab)=ℑ(b)a+bℑ(a)\Im(ab)=\Im(b)a+b\Im(a) for all a,b∈Ra,b\in R. In this note, our aim is to show that under some suitable restrictions imposed on R,R, ℑ\Im is additive.
