Extreme values of derivatives of the Dedekind zeta function of a cyclotomic field

In this paper, we establish a lower bound for the maximum of derivatives of the Dedekind zeta function of a cyclotomic field on the critical line. Employing a double version convolution formula and combing special GCD sums, our result generalizes the work of Bondarenko et al. in 2023. We also set a lower bound by the resonance method when the real part is near the critical line, both of the above results refine part of Yang's work in 2022.

Integrality and some evaluations of odd multiple harmonic sums

In 2015, S. Hong and C. Wang proved that none of the elementary symmetric functions of $1,1/3,\ldots,1/(2n-1)$ is an integer when $n\geq 2$. In 2017, Kh. Pilehrood, T. Pilehrood and R. Tauraso proved that the multiple harmonic sums $H_n(s_1,\ldots,s_r)$ are never integers with exceptions of $H_1(s_1)=1$ and $H_3(1,1)=1$. They also proved that the multiple harmonic star sums are never integers when $n\geq 2$. In this paper, we consider the odd multiple harmonic sums and the odd multiple harmonic star sums and show that none of these sums is an integer with exception of the trivial case. Besides, we give evaluations of the odd (alternating) multiple harmonic sums with depth one.

Ohno-Zagier type relation for multiple $t$-values

We study the Ohno-Zagier type relation for multiple $t$-values and multiple $t$-star values. We represent the generating function of sums of multiple $t$-(star) values with fixed weight, depth and height in terms of the generalized hypergeometric function $\,_3F_2$. As applications, we get a formula for the generating function of sums of multiple $t$-(star) values of maximal height and a weighted sum formula for sums of multiple $t$-(star) values with fixed weight and depth.

Weighted sum formula of multiple $L$-values and its applications

In this paper, we study the multiple $L$-values and the multiple zeta values of level $N$. We set up the algebraic framework for the double shuffle relations of the multiple zeta values of level $N$. Using the regularized double shuffle relations of multiple $L$-values, we give a sum formula and a weighted sum formula of multiple $L$-values. As applications, we give sum formulas and weighted sum formulas of double zeta values of level $2$ and $3$.

Scalar particles tunneling radiation in the Demianski-Newman spacetime with influences of quantum gravity

In this paper, using Hamilton-Jacobi ansatz, we investigate scalar particles tunneling radiation in the Demianski-Newman spacetime. We get the effective temperature with influences of quantum gravity, and compare this temperature with the original temperature of the Demianski-Newman black hole. We find that it's similar to the case of fermions, for scalar particles the influence of quantum gravity will also slow down the increase of Hawking temperatures, which naturally leads to remnants left in the evaporation.

Remarks on remnants by fermions' tunnelling from black strings

Hawking's calculation is unable to predict the final stage of the black hole evaporation. When effects of quantum gravity are taken into account, there is a minimal observable length. In this paper, we investigate fermions' tunnelling from the charged and rotating black strings. With the influence of the generalized uncertainty principle, the Hawking temperatures are not only determined by the rings, but also affected by the quantum numbers of the emitted fermions. Quantum gravity corrections slow down the increases of the temperatures, which naturally leads to remnants left in the evaporation.

Mechanical properties of hydrogen functionalized graphene allotropes

Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations have been performed to investigate the mechanical properties of hydrogen functionalized graphene allotropes (GAs) for H-coverage spanning the entire range (0-100%). Four allotropes (graphyne, cyclic graphene, octagonal graphene, and biphenylene) with larger unit lattice size than graphene are considered. The effect of the degree of functionalization and molecular structure on the Young's modulus and strength are investigated, and the failure processes of some new GAs are reported for the first time. We show that the mechanical properties of the hydrogenated GAs deteriorate drastically with increasing H-coverage within the sensitive threshold, beyond which the mechanical properties remain insensitive to the increase in H-coverage. This drastic deterioration arises both from the conversion of sp2 to sp3 bonding and easy rotation of unsupported sp3 bonds. Allotropes with different lattice structures correspond to different sensitive thresholds. The Young's moduli deterioration of fully hydrogenated allotropes can be up to 70% smaller than that of the corresponding pristine structure. Moreover the tensile strength shows an even larger drop of about 90% and higher sensitivity to H-coverage even if it is small. Our results suggest that the unique coverage-dependent deterioration of the mechanical properties must be taken into account when analyzing the performance characteristics of nanodevices fabricated from functionalized GAs.
