An Interactive Image-based Modeling System

This paper propose a interactive 3D modeling method and corresponding system based on single or multiple uncalibrated images. The main feature of this method is that, according to the modeling habits of ordinary people, the 3D model of the target is reconstructed from coarse to fine images. On the basis of determining the approximate shape, the user adds or modify projection constraints and spatial constraints, and apply topology modification, gradually realize camera calibration, refine rough model, and finally complete the reconstruction of objects with arbitrary geometry and topology. During the interactive process, the geometric parameters and camera projection matrix are solved in real time, and the reconstruction results are displayed in a 3D window.

Crossover from Metal to Insulator in Dense Lithium-Rich Compound $\textrm{CLi}_{4}$

Crystal structures of $\textrm{CLi}_4$ compounds are explored through \emph{ab} \emph{initio} evolutionary methodology. Phase transition from metal to semimetal and semiconductor, and eventually to insulator with increasing pressure are revealed under pressure. Pressure-induced evolution of anti-metallization has been described quantitatively by Fermi Surface Filling Ratio and electron energy band gap using \emph{ab} \emph{initio} \emph{GW} calculations. Anti-metallization is attributed to the hybrid valence electrons and their repulsion by core electrons into the lattice interstices. Very weak electron-phonon coupling interactions are found in the metallic phases, resulting in very low superconducting temperature.

Feed-forward control for quantum state protection against decoherence

We propose a novel scheme of feed-forward control and its reversal for protecting quantum state against decoherence. Before the noise channel our pre-weak measurement and feed-forward are just to change the protected state into the state almost immune to the noise channel, and after the channel our reversed operations and post-weak measurements are just to restore the protected state. Unlike most previous state protection schemes, ours only concerns the noise channel and does not care about the protected state. We show that our scheme can effectively protect unknown states, nonorthogonal states and entangled states against amplitude damping noise. Our scheme has dramatic merits of protecting quantum states against heavy amplitude damping noise, and can perfectly protect some specific nonorthogonal states in an almost deterministic way, which might be found some applications in current quantum communication technology. And it is most important that our scheme is experimentally available with current technology.

An effective method of calculating the non-Markovianity $\mathcal{N}$ for single channel open systems

We propose an effective method which can simplify the optimization of the increase of the trace distance over all pairs of initial states in calculating the non-Markovianity $\mathcal{N}$ for single channel open systems. For the amplitude damping channel, we can unify the results of Breuer $et$ $al$. [Phys. Rev. Lett. \bf 103\rm, 210401 (2009)] in the large-detuning case and the results of Xu $et$ $al$. [Phys. Rev. A \bf 81\rm, 044105 (2010)] in the resonant case; furthermore, for the general off-resonant cases we can obtain a very tight lower bound of $\mathcal{N}$. As another application of our method, we also discuss $\mathcal{N}$ for the non-Markovian depolarizing channel.

The decoherence dynamics of the multipartite entanglement in non-Markovian environment

We consider four two-level atoms interacting with independent non-Markovian reservoirs with detuning. We mainly investigate the effects of the detuning and the length of the reservoir correlation time on the decoherence dynamics of the multipartite entanglement. We find that the time evolution of the entanglement of atomic and reservoir subsystems is determined by a parameter, which is a function of the detuning and the reservoir correlation time. We also find that the decay and revival of the entanglement of the atomic and reservoir subsystems are closely related to the sign of the decay rate. We also show that the cluster state is the most robust to decoherence comparing with Dicke, GHZ, and W states for this decoherence channel
