Small perturbations may change the sign of Lyapunov exponents for linear SDEs

In this paper, we study the existence of $n$-dimensional linear stochastic differential equations (SDEs) such that the sign of Lyapunov exponents is changed under an exponentially decaying perturbation. First, we show that the equation with all positive Lyapunov exponents will have $n-1$ linearly independent solutions with negative Lyapunov exponents under the perturbation. Meanwhile, we prove that the equation with all negative Lyapunov exponents will also have solutions with positive Lyapunov exponents under another similar perturbation. Finally, we also show that other three kinds of perturbations which appear at different positions of the equation will change the sign of Lyapunov exponents.

Wasserstein convergence rates in the invariance principle for deterministic dynamical systems

In this paper, we consider the convergence rate with respect to Wasserstein distance in the invariance principle for deterministic nonuniformly hyperbolic systems, where both discrete time systems and flows are included. Our results apply to uniformly hyperbolic systems and large classes of nonuniformly hyperbolic systems including intermittent maps, Viana maps, finite horizon planar periodic Lorentz gases and others. Furthermore, as a nontrivial application to homogenization problem, we investigate the $\mathcal{W}_2$-convergence rate of a fast-slow discrete deterministic system to a stochastic differential equation.

Existence, uniqueness and exponential ergodicity under Lyapunov conditions for McKean-Vlasov SDEs with Markovian switching

The paper is dedicated to studying the problem of existence and uniqueness of solutions as well as existence of and exponential convergence to invariant measures for McKean-Vlasov stochastic differential equations with Markovian switching. Since the coefficients are only locally Lipschitz, we need to truncate them both in space and distribution variables simultaneously to get the global existence of solutions under the Lyapunov condition. Furthermore, if the Lyapunov condition is strengthened, we establish the exponential convergence of solutions' distributions to the unique invariant measure in Wasserstein quasi-distance and total variation distance, respectively. Finally, we give two applications to illustrate our theoretical results.

The second Bogolyubov theorem and global averaging principle for SPDEs with monotone coefficients

In this paper, we establish the second Bogolyubov theorem and global averaging principle for stochastic partial differential equations (in short, SPDEs) with monotone coefficients. Firstly, we prove that there exists a unique $L^{2}$-bounded solution to SPDEs with monotone coefficients and this bounded solution is globally asymptotically stable in square-mean sense. Then we show that the $L^{2}$-bounded solution possesses the same recurrent properties (e.g. periodic, quasi-periodic, almost periodic, almost automorphic, Birkhoff recurrent, Levitan almost periodic, etc.) in distribution sense as the coefficients. Thirdly, we prove that the recurrent solution of the original equation converges to the stationary solution of averaged equation under the compact-open topology as the time scale goes to zero--in other words, there exists a unique recurrent solution to the original equation in a neighborhood of the stationary solution of averaged equation when the time scale is small. Finally, we establish the global averaging principle in weak sense, i.e. we show that the attractor of original system tends to that of the averaged equation in probability measure space as the time scale goes to zero. For illustration of our results, we give two applications, including stochastic reaction diffusion equations and stochastic generalized porous media equations.

Averaging Principle on Infinite Intervals for Stochastic Ordinary Differential Equations

In contrast to existing works on stochastic averaging on finite intervals, we establish an averaging principle on the whole real axis, i.e. the so-called second Bogolyubov theorem, for semilinear stochastic ordinary differential equations in Hilbert space with Poisson stable (in particular, periodic, quasi-periodic, almost periodic, almost automorphic etc) coefficients. Under some appropriate conditions we prove that there exists a unique recurrent solution to the original equation, which possesses the same recurrence property as the coefficients, in a small neighborhood of the stationary solution to the averaged equation, and this recurrent solution converges to the stationary solution of averaged equation uniformly on the whole real axis when the time scale approaches zero.

Poisson stable solutions for stochastic differential equations with Lévy noise

In this paper, we use a unified framework to study Poisson stable (including stationary, periodic, quasi-periodic, almost periodic, almost automorphic, Birkhoff recurrent, almost recurrent in the sense of Bebutov, Levitan almost periodic, pseudo-periodic, pseudo-recurrent and Poisson stable) solutions for semilinear stochastic differential equations driven by infinite dimensional Lévy noise with large jumps. Under suitable conditions on drift, diffusion and jump coefficients, we prove that there exist solutions which inherit the Poisson stability of coefficients. Further we show that these solutions are globally asymptotically stable in square-mean sense. Finally, we illustrate our theoretical results by several examples.

Almost Periodic Solutions and Stable Solutions for Stochastic Differential Equations

In this paper, we discuss the relationships between stability and almost periodicity for solutions of stochastic differential equations. Our essential idea is to get stability of solutions or systems by some inherited properties of Lyapunov functions. Under suitable conditions besides Lyapunov functions, we obtain the existence of almost periodic solutions in distribution.

Concentration and limit behaviors of stationary measures

In this paper, we study limit behaviors of stationary measures of the Fokker-Planck equations associated with a system of ordinary differential equations perturbed by a class of multiplicative including additive white noises. As the noises are vanishing, various results on the invariance and concentration of the limit measures are obtained. In particular, we show that if the noise perturbed systems admit a uniform Lyapunov function, then the stationary measures form a relatively sequentially compact set whose weak$^*$-limits are invariant measures of the unperturbed system concentrated on its global attractor. In the case that the global attractor contains a strong local attractor, we further show that there exists a family of admissible multiplicative noises with respect to which all limit measures are actually concentrated on the local attractor; and on the contrary, in the presence of a strong local repeller in the global attractor, there exists a family of admissible multiplicative noises with respect to which no limit measure can be concentrated on the local repeller. Moreover, we show that if there is a strongly repelling equilibrium in the global attractor, then limit measures with respect to typical families of multiplicative noises are always concentrated away from the equilibrium. As applications of these results, an example of stochastic Hopf bifurcation is provided. Our study is closely related to the problem of noise stability of compact invariant sets and invariant measures of the unperturbed system.

Favard separation method for almost periodic stochastic differential equations

Favard separation method is an important means to study almost periodic solutions to linear differential equations; later, Amerio applied Favard's idea to nonlinear differential equations. In this paper, by appropriate choosing separation and almost periodicity in distribution sense, we obtain the Favard and Amerio type theorems for stochastic differential equations.

Integral identity and measure estimates for stationary Fokker-Planck equations

We consider a Fokker-Planck equation in a general domain in ${\mathbb{R}}^n$ with $L^p_{\mathrm{loc}}$ drift term and $W^{1,p}_{\mathrm{loc}}$ diffusion term for any $p>n$. By deriving an integral identity, we give several measure estimates of regular stationary measures in an exterior domain with respect to diffusion and Lyapunov-like or anti-Lyapunov-like functions. These estimates will be useful to problems such as the existence and nonexistence of stationary measures in a general domain as well as the concentration and limit behaviors of stationary measures as diffusion vanishes.

Square-mean almost automorphic solutions for some stochastic differential equations

The concept of square-mean almost automorphy for stochastic processes is introduced. The existence and uniqueness of square-mean almost automorphic solutions to some linear and non-linear stochastic differential equations are established provided the coefficients satisfy some conditions. The asymptotic stability of the unique square-mean almost automorphic solution in square-mean sense is discussed.
