Bogomolov-Sommese type vanishing theorem for holomorphic vector bundles equipped with positive singular Hermitian metrics

We obtain the Bogomolov-Sommese type vanishing theorem involving multiplier ideal sheaves for big line bundles. We define a dual Nakano semi-positivity of singular Hermitian metrics with L2-estimates and prove the vanishing theorem which is a generalization of the Bogomolov-Sommese type vanishing theorem to holomorphic vector bundles.

Curvature operator of holomorphic vector bundles and $L^2$-estimate condition for $(n,q)$ and $(p,n)$-forms

We study the positivity properties of the curvature operator for holomorphic Hermitian vector bundles. We obtain new characterization of semi-positive curvature operators for $(n,q)$ and $(p,n)$-forms by L2-estimates. The characterization of Nakano semi-positivity by $L^2$-estimate is already known. Applying our results, we give new characterizations of Nakano semi-negativity.

Quantum and temperature effects on crystal structure of superhydride: A path integral molecular dynamics study

By classical and path-integral molecular dynamics simulations, we study the pressure-temperature ($P$-$T$) phase diagram of LaH$_{10}$ to clarify the impact of temperature and atomic zero-point motions. We calculate the XRD pattern and analyze the space group of the crystal structures. For 125 GPa $\leq P\leq$ 150 GPa and $T=300$ K, we show that a highly symmetric $Fm\bar{3}m$ structure, for which superconductivity is particularly favored, is stabilized only by the temperature effect. On the other hand, for $T=200$ K, the interplay between the temperature and quantum effects is crucial to realize the $Fm\bar{3}m$ structure. For $P=$100 GPa and $T=$300 K, we find that the system is close to the critical point of the structural phase transition between the $Fm\bar{3}m$ structure and those with lower symmetries.

Localizing Audiences' Gaze using a Multi-touch Electronic Whiteboard with sPieMenu

Direct-touch presentation devices such as touch-sensitive electronic whiteboards have two serious problems. First, the presenter's hand movements tend to distract the audience's attention from content. Second, the presenter' s manipulation tends to obscure content. In this paper we describe a new electronic whiteboard system that supports multi-touch gestures and employs a special pie menu interface named "sPieMenu." This pie menu is displayed under the presenter's palm and is thus invisible to the audience. A series of experiments shows that the proposed system allows both novice and expert users to efficiently manipulate the electronic whiteboard, and that the proposed system decreases distraction to the audience compared to traditional approaches.
