On the structure Lie operator of a real hypersurface in the complex quadric

The almost contact metric structure that we have on a real hypersurface MM in the complex quadric Qm=SOm+2/SOmSO2Q^{m}=SO_{m+2}/SO_mSO_2 allows us to define, for any nonnull real number kk, the kk-th generalized Tanaka-Webster connection on MM, ∇^(k)\hat{\nabla}^{(k)}. Associated to this connection we have Cho and torsion operators, FX(k)F_X^{(k)} and TX(k)T_X^{(k)}, respectively, for any vector field XX tangent to MM. From them and for any symmetric operator BB on MM we can consider two tensor fields of type (1,2) on MM that we will denote by BF(k)B_F^{(k)} and BT(k)B_T^{(k)}, respectively. We will classify real hypersurfaces MM in QmQ^m for which any of those tensors identically vanishes, in the particular case of BB being the structure Lie operator LξL_ξ on MM.

Derivatives of normal Jacobi operator on real hypersurfaces in the complex quadric

In \cite{S 2017}, Suh gave a non-existence theorem for Hopf real hypersurfaces in the complex quadric with parallel normal Jacobi operator. Motivated by this result, in this paper, we introduce some generalized conditions named C\mathcal C-parallel or Reeb parallel normal Jacobi operators. By using such weaker parallelisms of normal Jacobi operator, first we can assert a non-existence theorem of Hopf real hypersurfaces with C\mathcal C-parallel normal Jacobi operator in the complex quadric QmQ^{m}, m≥3m \geq 3. Next, we prove that a Hopf real hypersurface has Reeb parallel normal Jacobi operator if and only if it has an A\mathfrak A-isotropic singular normal vector field.

Extremities for statistical submanifolds in Kenmotsu statistical manifolds

Kenmotsu geometry is a valuable part of contact geometry with nice applications in other fields such as theoretical physics. In this article, we study the statistical counterpart of a Kenmotsu manifold, that is, Kenmotsu statistical manifold with some related examples. We investigate some statistical curvature properties of Kenmotsu statistical manifolds. We prove that a Kenmotsu statistical manifold is not a Ricci-flat statistical manifold with an example. Finally, we prove a very well-known Chen-Ricci inequality for statistical submanifolds in Kenmotsu statistical manifolds of constant ϕ−ϕ-sectional curvature by adopting optimization techniques on submanifolds. This article ends with some concluding remarks.

Isometric Reeb flow in complex hyperbolic quadrics

We classify real hypersurfaces with isometric Reeb flow in the complex hyperbolic quadrics Q∗m=SO2,mo/SOmSO2{Q^*}^{m} = SO^{o}_{2,m}/SO_mSO_2, m≥3m \geq 3. We show that mm is even, say m=2km = 2k, and any such hypersurface becomes an open part of a tube around a kk-dimensional complex hyperbolic space CHk{\mathbb C}H^k which is embedded canonically in Q∗2k{Q^*}^{2k} as a totally geodesic complex submanifold or a horosphere whose center at infinity is A\frak A-isotropic singular. As a consequence of the result, we get the non-existence of real hypersurfaces with isometric Reeb flow in odd-dimensional complex quadrics Q∗2k+1{Q^*}^{2k+1}, k≥1k \geq 1.

Real hypersurfaces in complex hyperbolic two-plane Grassmannians with commuting structure Jacobi operators

In this paper, we introduce a new commuting condition between the structure Jacobi operator and symmetric (1,1)-type tensor field TT, that is, RξϕT=TRξϕR_ξϕT=TR_ξϕ, where T=AT=A or T=ST=S for Hopf hypersurfaces in complex hyperbolic two-plane Grassmannians. By using simultaneous diagonalzation for commuting symmetric operators, we give a complete classification of real hypersurfaces in complex hyperbolic two-plane Grassmannians with commuting condition respectively.

Real hypersurfaces in the complex quadric with commuting Ricci tensor

We introduce the notion of commuting Ricci tensor for real hypersurfaces in the complex quadric Qm=SOm+2/SOmSO2Q^m = SO_{m+2}/SO_mSO_2 . It is shown that the commuting Ricci tensor gives that the unit normal vector field NN becomes A\frak A-principal or A\frak A-isotropic. Then according to each case, we give a complete classification of real hypersurfaces in Qm=SOm+2/SOmSO2Q^m = SO_{m+2}/SO_mSO_2 with commuting Ricci tensor.

Addendum to the paper "Hypersurfaces with Isometric Reeb Flow in Complex hyperbolic Two-Plane Grassmannians"

We classify all of real hypersurfaces MM with Reeb invariant shape operator in complex hyperbolic two-plane Grassmannians SU2,m/S(U2⋅Um)SU_{2,m}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_m), m≥2m \geq 2. Then it becomes a tube over a totally geodesic SU2,m−1/S(U2⋅Um−1)SU_{2,m-1}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_{m-1}) in SU2,m/S(U2⋅Um)SU_{2,m}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_m) or a horosphere whose center at infinity is singular and of type JN∈JNJN \in {\mathfrak J}N for a unit normal vector field NN of MM.

Real Hypersurfaces in Complex Hyperbolic Two-Plane Grassmannians with commuting Ricci tensor

In this paper we first introduce the full expression of the curvature tensor of a real hypersurface MM in complex hyperbolic two-plane Grassmannians SU2,m/S(U2⋅Um)SU_{2,m}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_m), m≥2m{\ge}2 from the equation of Gauss. Next we derive a new formula for the Ricci tensor of MM in SU2,m/S(U2⋅Um)SU_{2,m}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_m). Finally we give a complete classification of Hopf hypersurfaces in complex hyperbolic two-plane Grassmannians SU2,m/S(U2⋅Um)SU_{2,m}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_m) with commuting Ricci tensor. Each can be described as a tube over a totally geodesic SU2,m−1/S(U2⋅Um−1)SU_{2,m-1}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_{m-1}) in SU2,m/S(U2⋅Um)SU_{2,m}/S(U_2{\cdot}U_m) or a horosphere whose center at infinity is singular.

Real hypersurfaces in complex two-plane Grassmannians with commuting restricted Jacobi operators

In this paper, we have considered a new commuting condition, that is, (Rξϕ)S=S(Rξϕ)(R_ξϕ) S = S (R_ξϕ) \big(resp. $(\Bar{R}_Nϕ) S = S (\Bar{R}_Nϕ$)\big) between the restricted Jacobi operator~RξϕR_ξϕ (resp. $\Bar{R}_Nϕ$), and the Ricci tensor SS for real hypersurfaces MM in G2(Cm+2)G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2}). In terms of this condition we give a complete classification for Hopf hypersurfaces MM in G2(Cm+2)G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2}).

Real hypersurfaces in complex two-plane Grassmannians with GTW Reeb Lie derivative structure Jacobi operator

Using generalized Tanaka-Webster connection, we considered a real hypersurface MM in a complex two-plane Grassmannian G2(Cm+2)G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2}) when the GTW Reeb Lie derivative of the structure Jacobi operator coincides with the Reeb Lie derivative. Next using the method of simultaneous diagonalization, we prove a complete classification for a real hypersurface in G2(Cm+2)G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2}) satisfying such a condition. In this case, we have proved that MM is an open part of a tube around a totally geodesic G2(Cm+1)G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+1}) in G2(Cm+2)G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2}).

Real hypersurfaces in complex two-plane Grassmannians with Reeb parallel Ricci tensor in generalized Tanaka-Webster connection

There are several kinds of classification problems for real hypersurfaces in complex two-plane Grassmannians G2(Cm+2)G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2}). Among them, Suh classified Hopf hypersurfaces MM in G2(Cm+2)G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2}) with Reeb parallel Ricci tensor in Levi-Civita connection. In this paper, we introduce a new notion of generalized Tanaka-Webster Reeb parallel Ricci tensor for MM in G2(Cm+2)G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2}). By using such parallel conditions, we give complete classifications of Hopf hypersurfaces in G2(Cm+2)G_2({\mathbb C}^{m+2}).

Real hypersurfaces in complex hyperbolic two-plane Grassmannians related to the Reeb vector field

In this paper we give a characterization of real hypersurfaces in noncompact complex two-plane Grassmannian SU2,m/S(U2Um)SU_{2,m}/S(U_2 U_m), m≥2m \geq 2 with Reeb vector field ξξ belonging to the maximal quaternionic subbundle Q\mathcal Q. Then it becomes a tube over a totally real totally geodesic HHn{\mathbb H}H^n, m=2nm=2n, in noncompact complex two-plane Grassmannian SU2,m/S(U2Um)SU_{2,m}/S(U_2 U_m), a horosphere whose center at the infinity is singular or another exceptional case.

Real hypersurfaces with isometric Reeb flow in complex quadrics

We classify real hypersurfaces with isometric Reeb flow in the complex quadrics Q^m for m > 2. We show that m is even, say m = 2k, and any such hypersurface is an open part of a tube around a k-dimensional complex projective space CP^k which is embedded canonically in Q^{2k} as a totally geodesic complex submanifold. As a consequence we get the non-existence of real hypersurfaces with isometric Reeb flow in odd-dimensional complex quadrics.
