Sensitivity of $CP$ Violation of $Λ$ decay in $J/ψ\to Λ\barΛ$ at STCF

The process of $J/ψ\to Λ\barΛ$ is studied using $1.0\times10^{12}$ $J/ψ$ Monte Carlo (MC) events at $\sqrt{s}$=3.097 GeV with a fast simulation software at future Super Tau Charm Facility (STCF). The statistical sensitivity for $CP$ violation is determined to be the order of $\mathcal{O} (10^{-4})$ by measuring the asymmetric parameters of the $Λ$ decay. Furthermore, the decay of $J/ψ\to Λ\barΛ$ also serves as a benchmark process to optimize the detector responses using the interface provided by the fast simulation software.

InvNorm: Domain Generalization for Object Detection in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

Domain Generalization is a challenging topic in computer vision, especially in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy image analysis. Due to several device limitations and ethical reasons, current open-source datasets are typically collected on a limited number of patients using the same brand of sensors. Different brands of devices and individual differences will significantly affect the model's generalizability. Therefore, to address the generalization problem in GI(Gastrointestinal) endoscopy, we propose a multi-domain GI dataset and a light, plug-in block called InvNorm(Invertible Normalization), which could achieve a better generalization performance in any structure. Previous DG(Domain Generalization) methods fail to achieve invertible transformation, which would lead to some misleading augmentation. Moreover, these models would be more likely to lead to medical ethics issues. Our method utilizes normalizing flow to achieve invertible and explainable style normalization to address the problem. The effectiveness of InvNorm is demonstrated on a wide range of tasks, including GI recognition, GI object detection, and natural image recognition.

Torsion and accelerating expansion of the universe in quadratic gravitation

Several exact cosmological solutions of a metric-affine theory of gravity with two torsion functions are presented. These solutions give a essentially different explanation from the one in most of previous works to the cause of the accelerating cosmological expansion and the origin of the torsion of the spacetime. These solutions can be divided into two classes. The solutions in the first class define the critical points of a dynamical system representing an asymptotically stable de Sitter spacetime. The solutions in the second class have exact analytic expressions which have never been found in the literature. The acceleration equation of the universe in general relativity is only a special case of them. These solutions indicate that even in vacuum the spacetime can be endowed with torsion, which means that the torsion of the spacetime has an intrinsic nature and a geometric origin. In these solutions the acceleration of the cosmological expansion is due to either the scalar torsion or the pseudoscalar torsion function. Neither a cosmological constant nor dark energy is needed. It is the torsion of the spacetime that causes the accelerating expansion of the universe in vacuum. All the effects of the inflation, the acceleration and the phase transformation from deceleration to acceleration can be explained by these solutions. Furthermore, the energy and pressure of the matter without spin can produce the torsion of the spacetime and make the expansion of the universe decelerate as well as accelerate.

A exact de Sitter cosmological solution of quadratic gravitation with torsion

A exact de Sitter-like cosmological solution of quadratic gravitation with torsion has been found. In the limit of constant energy and pressure, it becomes a exact de Sitter spacetime. It exists in a wide class of quadratic gravity theories and is the same in vacuum for all the models in this class, no matter how the coefficients of the quadratic terms in the Lagrangian are. It describes an accelerating universe and gives a cosmological constant which is of the order of magnitude of the observed value. In vacuum the universe is a de Sitter spacetime without torsion. When matter presents, however, the spacetime is equipped with curvature as well as torsion. In other wards torsion can be generated by the energy-momentum of matter (energy and pressure).
