Matrix-valued Cauchy bi-orthogonal polynomials and a novel noncommutative integrable lattice

Matrix-valued Cauchy bi-orthogonal polynomials were proposed in this paper, together with its quasideterminant expression. It is shown that the coefficients in four-term recurrence relation for matrix-valued Cauchy bi-orthogonal polynomials should satisfy a novel noncommutative integrable system, whose Lax pair is given by fractional differential operators with non-abelian variables.

$\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded discrete integrable systems and Darboux transformations

We present the Darboux transformations for a novel class of two-dimensional discrete integrable systems named as $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded discrete integrable systems, which were firstly proposed by Fordy and Xenitidis within the framework of $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded discrete Lax pairs very recently. In this paper, the $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded discrete equations in coprime case and their corresponding Lax pairs are derived from the discrete Gel'fand-Dikii hierarchy by applying a transformation of the independent variables. The construction of the Darboux tranformations is realised by considering the associated linear problems in the bilinear formalism for the $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded lattice equations. We show that all these $\mathbb{Z}_\mathcal{N}$ graded equations share a unified solution structure in our scheme.

Ultrafast Dynamics of Plasmon-Exciton Interaction of Ag Nanowire-Graphene Hybrids for Surface Catalytic Reactions

Using the ultrafast pump-probe transient absorption spectroscopy, the femtosecond-resolved plasmon-exciton interaction of graphene-Ag nanowire hybrids is experimentally investigated, in the VIS-NIR region. The plasmonic lifetime of Ag nanowire is about 150 femtosecond (fs). For a single layer of graphene, the fast dynamic process at 275 fs is due to the excitation of graphene excitons, and the slow process at 1.4 picosecond (ps) is due to the plasmonic hot electron interaction with phonons of graphene. For the graphene-Ag nanowire hybrids, the time scale of the plasmon-induced hot electron transferring to graphene is 534 fs, and the metal plasmon enhanced graphene plasmon is about 3.2 ps in the VIS region. The graphene-Ag nanowire hybrids can be used for plasmon-driven chemical reactions. This graphene-mediated surface-enhanced Raman scattering substrate significantly increases the probability and efficiency of surface catalytic reactions co-driven by graphene-Ag nanowire hybridization, in comparison with reactions individually driven by monolayer graphene or single Ag nanowire. This implies that the graphene-Ag nanowire hybrids can not only lead to a significant accumulation of high-density hot electrons, but also significantly increase the plasmon-to-electron conversion efficiency, due to strong plasmon-exciton coupling.

Spectrum transformation and conservation laws of the lattice potential KdV equation

Many multi-dimensional consistent discrete systems have soliton solutions with nonzero backgrounds, which brings difficulty in the investigation of integrable characteristics. In this letter we derive infinitely many conserved quantities for the lattice potential Korteweg-de Vries equation. The derivation is based on the fact that the scattering data $a(z)$ is independent of discrete space and time and the analytic property of Jost solutions of the discrete Schrödinger spectral problem. The obtained conserved densities are different from those in the known literatures. They are asymptotic to zero when $|n|$ (or $|m|$) tends to infinity. To obtain these results, we reconstruct a discrete Riccati equation by using a conformal map which transforms the upper complex plane to the inside of unit circle. Series solution to the Riccati equation is constructed based on the analytic and asymptotic properties of Jost solutions.

Darboux and binary Darboux transformations for discrete integrable systems 1. Discrete potential KdV equation

The Hirota-Miwa equation can be written in `nonlinear' form in two ways: the discrete KP equation and, by using a compatible continuous variable, the discrete potential KP equation. For both systems, we consider the Darboux and binary Darboux transformations, expressed in terms of the continuous variable, and obtain exact solutions in Wronskian and Grammian form. We discuss reductions of both systems to the discrete KdV and discrete potential KdV equations, respectively, and exploit this connection to find the Darboux and binary Darboux transformations and exact solutions of these equations.

Realizing flexible two-qubit controlled phase gate with a hybrid solid-state system

We propose a theoretical scheme for realizing °exible two-qubit controlled phase gate. A transmission line resonator is used to induce the coupling between nitrogen-vacancy (N-V) in diamond and superconducting qubit. The N-V center acts as control qubit and the superconducting qubit as target qubit. Through adjusting external flux, we obtain desired coupling between random superconducting qubit and transmission line resonator. Moreover, our protocol might be implemented via the current experimental technology.
