Energy evolution of T-odd gluon TMDs at small $x$

We study the energy or TMD evolution of the three leading twist dipole type T-odd gluon TMDs inside a transversely polarized nucleon, all of which at small $x$ dynamically originate from the spin dependent odderon. Their energy dependence presents a unique opportunity to study the polarization dependent TMD evolution in the small-$x$ region, where the distributions are identical up to a normalization constant at tree level. We further propose to study their evolution via azimuthal asymmetries in virtual photon-jet production in polarized proton-proton collisions at RHIC. We present model predictions for the asymmetries as functions of the large jet or photon transverse momentum and $Q^2$ which set the hard scales in this process.

Probing the gluon tomography in photoproduction of di-pions

A sizable $\cos 4ϕ$ azimuthal asymmetry in exclusive di-pion production near $ρ^0$ resonance peak in ultraperipheral heavy ion collisions recently has been reported by STAR collaboration. We show that both elliptic gluon Wigner distribution and final state soft photon radiation can give rise to this azimuthal asymmetry. The fact that the QED effect alone severely underestimates the observed asymmetry might signal the existence of the nontrivial correlation in quantum phase distribution of gluons.

Gluon and Wilson loop TMDs for hadrons of spin $\leq$ 1

In this paper we consider the parametrizations of gluon transverse momentum dependent (TMD) correlators in terms of TMD parton distribution functions (PDFs). These functions, referred to as TMDs, are defined as the Fourier transforms of hadronic matrix elements of nonlocal combinations of gluon fields. The nonlocality is bridged by gauge links, which have characteristic paths (future or past pointing), giving rise to a process dependence that breaks universality. For gluons, the specific correlator with one future and one past pointing gauge link is, in the limit of small $x$, related to a correlator of a single Wilson loop. We present the parametrization of Wilson loop correlators in terms of Wilson loop TMDs and discuss the relation between these functions and the small-$x$ `dipole' gluon TMDs. This analysis shows which gluon TMDs are leading or suppressed in the small-$x$ limit. We discuss hadronic targets that are unpolarized, vector polarized (relevant for spin-$1/2$ and spin-$1$ hadrons), and tensor polarized (relevant for spin-$1$ hadrons). The latter are of interest for studies with a future Electron-Ion Collider with polarized deuterons.

NLO QCD corrections to Single Top and W associated production at the LHC with forward detector acceptances

In this paper we study the Single Top and W boson associated photoproduction via the main reaction $\rm pp\rightarrow pγp\rightarrow pW^{\pm}t+Y$ at the 14 TeV Large Hadron Collider (LHC) up to next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD level assuming a typical LHC multipurpose forward detector. We use the Five-Flavor-Number Schemes (5FNS) with massless bottom quark assumption in the whole calculation. Our results show that the QCD NLO corrections can reduce the scale uncertainty. The typical K-factors are in the range of 1.15 to 1.2 which lead to the QCD NLO corrections of 15$%$ to 20$%$ correspond to the leading-order (LO) predictions with our chosen parameters.

Constraints on large-extra-dimensions model through 125 GeV Higgs pair production at the LHC

Based on the analysis of 5 fb^-1 of data at the LHC, the ATLAS and CMS collaborations have presented evidence for a Higgs boson with a mass in the 125 GeV range. We consider the 125 GeV neutral Higgs pair production process in the context of large-extra-dimensions (LED) model including the Kaluza-Klein (KK)excited gravitons at the LHC. We consider the standard model(SM) Higgs pair production in gluon-gluon fusion channel and pure LED effects through graviton exchange as well as their interferences. It is shown that such interferences should be included; the LED model raises the transverse momentum (Pt)and invariant mass (M_HH) distributions at high scales of Pt and M_HH of the Higgs pair production. By using the Higgs pair production we could set the discovery limit on the cutoff scale M_S up to 6 TeV for delta = 2 and 4.5 TeV for delta = 6.

Enhancement of Loop induced 125GeV Higgs pair production through Large-Extra-Dimensions model at the LHC

Based on the analysis of 5 fb^-1 of data at the LHC, the ATLAS and CMS collaborations have presented evidence for a Higgs boson with a mass in the 125 GeV range. We consider the 125 GeV neutral Higgs pair production process in the context of large-extra-dimensions(LED) model including the Kaluza-Klein(KK) excited gravitons at the LHC. We take into account the LED effects coming from gluon-gluon fusion and quark-antiquark collision channels as well as their corresponding next-to-leading order(NLO) QCD loop induced corrections. We analyse their impacts on both the total cross section and some key distributions. Indeed,pp -> HH has the clear advantage of a lower standard model(SM) background compare to process like pp -> jj, though its SM prediction is very small, it is shown that the LED model raises the cross section of Higgs pair production compare to its SM prediction and enhance the transverse momentum(pHT) and invariant mass(MHH) Distributions especially at high scales of pH T and MHH. By including the NLO QCD loop corrections, the scale dependence of total cross section can be reduced obviously. Choose suitable decay modes like HH -> bbrr or HH -> bbmumu and some simple cuts, we can strongly reduce the SM background but keep most of the LED effects, leading Higgs pair production a promising channel to search LED effects.

Flavor changing top quark decay and bottom-strange production in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity

Flavor changing effects on the processes \tch, \eebs, \eebsh and \ppbs in the LHT model are investigated in this paper. We calculate the one-loop level contributions from the T-parity odd mirror quarks and gauge bosons. The results show that the top quark rare decay \tch in the LHT model can be significantly enhanced relative to that in the SM. The $b\bar{s}$ production at linear colliders in the LHT model can enhance the SM cross section a lot and reach 0.1 fb in some parameter space allowed in the experiment. But the heavy gauge boson and mirror fermion loops have small contribution to the processes \ppbs and \eebsh. So the LHT effect on \eebs might be detected at future linear colliders, while it's too small to be seen for the \eebsh and \ppbs processes at future linear colliders and LHC.

Neutral Triple Gauge Boson production in the large extra dimensions model at linear colliders

We consider the neutral triple gauge boson production process in the context of large extra dimensions (LED) model including the Kaluza-Klein (KK) excited gravitons at future linear colliders, say ILC(CLIC). We consider $γγγ, γγZ, γZ Z$ and $ZZZ$ production processes, and analyse their impacts on both the total cross section and some key distributions. These processes are important for new physics searches at linear colliders. Our results show that KK graviton exchange has the most significant effect on \eerzz among the four processes with relatively small $M_S$, while it has the largest effect on \eerrr with larger $M_S$. By using the neutral triple gauge boson production we could set the discovery limit on the fundamental Plank scale $M_S$ up to around 6-9 TeV for $δ$ = 4 at the 3 TeV CLIC.
