Szegő kernels and equivariant embedding theorems for CR manifolds

We consider a compact connected CR manifold with a transversal CR locally free $\mathbb R$-action endowed with a rigid positive CR line bundle. We prove that a certain weighted Fourier-Szegő kernel of the CR sections in the high tensor powers admits a full asymptotic expansion and we establish $\mathbb R$-equivariant Kodaira embedding theorem for CR manifolds. Using similar methods we also establish an analytic proof of an $\mathbb R$-equivariant Boutet de Monvel embedding theorem for strongly pseudoconvex CR manifolds. In particular, we obtain equivariant embedding theorems for irregular Sasakian manifolds. As applications of our results, we obtain Torus equivariant Kodaira and Boutet de Monvel embedding theorems for CR manifolds and Torus equivariant Kodaira embedding theorem for complex manifolds.

Non-embeddability into a fixed sphere for a family of compact real algebraic hypersurfaces

We study the holomorphic embedding problem from a compact strongly pseudoconvex real algebraic hypersurface into a sphere of higher dimension. We construct a family of compact strongly pseudoconvex hypersurfaces $M_ε$ in $\mathbb{C}^2,$ and prove that for any integer $N$, there is a number $ε(N)$ with $0<ε(N)<1$ such that for any $ε$ with $0<ε<ε(N)$, $M_ε$ can not be locally holomorphically embedded into the unit sphere $\mathbb{S}^{2N-1}$ in $\mathbb{C}^N.$

Tucker Tensor Regression and Neuroimaging Analysis

Large-scale neuroimaging studies have been collecting brain images of study individuals, which take the form of two-dimensional, three-dimensional, or higher dimensional arrays, also known as tensors. Addressing scientific questions arising from such data demands new regression models that take multidimensional arrays as covariates. Simply turning an image array into a long vector causes extremely high dimensionality that compromises classical regression methods, and, more seriously, destroys the inherent spatial structure of array data that possesses wealth of information. In this article, we propose a family of generalized linear tensor regression models based upon the Tucker decomposition of regression coefficient arrays. Effectively exploiting the low rank structure of tensor covariates brings the ultrahigh dimensionality to a manageable level that leads to efficient estimation. We demonstrate, both numerically that the new model could provide a sound recovery of even high rank signals, and asymptotically that the model is consistently estimating the best Tucker structure approximation to the full array model in the sense of Kullback-Liebler distance. The new model is also compared to a recently proposed tensor regression model that relies upon an alternative CANDECOMP/PARAFAC (CP) decomposition.

Saying HelloWorld with QVTR-XSLT - A Solution to the TTC 2011 Instructive Case

In this short paper we present our solution for the Hello World case study of the Transformation Tool Contest (TTC) 2011 using the QVTR-XSLT tool. The tool supports editing and execution of the graphical notation of QVT Relations language. The case study consists of a set of simple transformation tasks which covers the basic functions required for a transformation language, such as creating, reading/querying, updating and deleting of model elements. We design a transformation for each of the tasks.
