The Quantum Twistor Bundle

We investigate the quantum twistor bundle constructed as a $U(1)$-quotient of the quantum instanton bundle of Bonechi, Ciccoli and Tarlini. It is an example of a locally trivial noncommutative bundle fulfilling conditions of the framework recently proposed by Brzeziński and Szymański. In particular, we give a detailed description of the corresponding $C^*$-algebra of 'continuous functions' on its noncommutative total space. Furthermore, we analyse a different construction of a quantum instanton bundle due to Landi, Pagani and Reina, find a basis of its polynomial algebra and discover an intriguing and unexpected feature of its enveloping $C^*$-algebra.

On Conjugacy of Subalgebras of Graph C*-Algebras

The problem of inner vs outer conjugacy of subalgebras of certain graph C*-algebras is investigated. For a large class of finite graphs E, we show that whenever $α$ is a vertex-fixing quasi-free automorphism of the corresponding graph C*-algebra C*(E) such that α(\D_E)\neq\D_E, where \D_E is the canonical MASA in C*(E), then α(\D_E)\neq w\D_E w^* for all unitaries w\in C*(E). That is, the two MASAs \D_E and α(\D_E) of C*(E) are outer but not inner conjugate. Passing to an isomorphic C*-algebra by changing the underlying graph makes this result applicable to certain non quasi-free automorphisms as well. For the Cuntz algebras O_n, we find a criterion which guarantees that a polynomial automorphism moves the canonical UHF subalgebra to a non-inner conjugate UHF subalgebra. The criterion is phrased in terms of rescaling of trace on diagonal projections.

An algebraic framework for noncommutative bundles with homogeneous fibres

An algebraic framework for noncommutative bundles with (quantum) homogeneous fibres is proposed. The framework relies on the use of principal coalgebra extensions which play the role of principal bundles in noncommutative geometry which might be additionally equipped with a Hopf algebra symmetry. The proposed framework is supported by two examples of noncommutative $\mathbb{C} P_q^1$-bundles: the quantum flag manifold viewed as a bundle with a generic Podleś sphere as a fibre, and the quantum twistor bundle viewed as a bundle over the quantum 4-sphere of Bonechi, Ciccoli and Tarlini.

The $C^*$-algebras of quantum lens and weighted projective spaces

It is shown that the algebra of continuous functions on the quantum $2n+1$-dimensional lens space $C(L^{2n+1}_q(N; m_0,\ldots, m_n))$ is a graph $C^*$-algebra, for arbitrary positive weights $ m_0,\ldots, m_n$. The form of the corresponding graph is determined from the skew product of the graph which defines the algebra of continuous functions on the quantum sphere $S_q^{2n+1}$ and the cyclic group $\mathbb{Z}_N$, with the labelling induced by the weights. Based on this description, the K-groups of specific examples are computed. Furthermore, the K-groups of the algebras of continuous functions on quantum weighted projective spaces $C(\mathbb{WP}_q^n(m_0,\ldots, m_n))$, interpreted as fixed points under the circle action on $C(S_q^{2n+1})$, are computed under a mild assumption on the weights.

KMS states on Nica-Toeplitz algebras of product systems

We investigate KMS states of Fowler's Nica-Toeplitz algebra $\mathcal{NT}(X)$ associated to a compactly aligned product system $X$ over a semigroup $P$ of Hilbert bimodules. This analysis relies on restrictions of these states to the core algebra which satisfy appropriate scaling conditions. The concept of product system of finite type is introduced. If $(G, P)$ is a lattice ordered group and $X$ is a product system of finite type over $P$ satisfying certain coherence properties, we construct KMS$_β$ states of $\NT(X)$ associated to a scalar dynamics from traces on the coefficient algebra of the product system. Our results were motivated by, and generalize some of the results of Laca and Raeburn obtained for the Toeplitz algebra of the affine semigroup over the natural numbers.

$C^*$-algebras associated to $C^*$-correspondences and applications to mirror quantum spheres

The structure of the $C^*$-algebras corresponding to even-dimensional mirror quantum spheres is investigated. It is shown that they are isomorphic to both Cuntz-Pimsner algebras of certain $C^*$-correspondences and $C^*$-algebras of certain labelled graphs. In order to achieve this, categories of labelled graphs and $C^*$-correspondences are studied. A functor from labelled graphs to $C^*$-correspondences is constructed, such that the corresponding associated $C^*$-algebras are isomorphic. Furthermore, it is shown that $C^*$-correspondences for the mirror quantum spheres arise via a general construction of restricted direct sum.
