Quantitative bounds for critically bounded solutions to the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations in Lorentz spaces

In this paper, we prove a quantitative regularity theorem and a blow-up criterion of classical solutions for the three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. By adapting the strategy developed by Tao in [20], we obtain an explicit blow-up rate in the setting of critical Lorentz spaces $L^{3, q_{0}}(\mathbb R^3)$ with $3 \leq q_0 < \infty $. Our results improve the previous regularity in critical Lebesgue spaces $L^3(\mathbb R^3)$ in [20] and quantify the qualitative result by Phuc in [16].

DFAM-DETR: Deformable feature based attention mechanism DETR on slender object detection

Object detection is one of the most significant aspects of computer vision, and it has achieved substantial results in a variety of domains. It is worth noting that there are few studies focusing on slender object detection. CNNs are widely employed in object detection, however it performs poorly on slender object detection due to the fixed geometric structure and sampling points. In comparison, Deformable DETR has the ability to obtain global to specific features. Even though it outperforms the CNNs in slender objects detection accuracy and efficiency, the results are still not satisfactory. Therefore, we propose Deformable Feature based Attention Mechanism (DFAM) to increase the slender object detection accuracy and efficiency of Deformable DETR. The DFAM has adaptive sampling points of deformable convolution and attention mechanism that aggregate information from the entire input sequence in the backbone network. This improved detector is named as Deformable Feature based Attention Mechanism DETR (DFAM- DETR). Results indicate that DFAM-DETR achieves outstanding detection performance on slender objects.

The Phase Shifts of the Paired Wings of Butterfly Diagrams

Sunspot groups observed by Royal Greenwich Observatory/US Air Force/NOAA from May 1874 to November 2008 and the Carte Synoptique solar filaments from March 1919 to December 1989 are used to investigate the relative phase shift of the paired wings of butterfly diagrams of sunspot and filament activities. Latitudinal migration of sunspot groups (or filaments) does asynchronously occur in the northern and southern hemispheres, and there is a relative phase shift between the paired wings of their butterfly diagrams in a cycle, making the paired wings spatially asymmetrical on the solar equator. It is inferred that hemispherical solar activity strength should evolve in a similar way within the paired wings of a butterfly diagram in a cycle, making the paired wings just and only keep the phase relationship between the northern and southern hemispherical solar activity strengths, but a relative phase shift between the paired wings of a butterfly diagram should bring about an almost same relative phase shift of hemispheric solar activity strength.
