Multipartite Non-local Magic and SYK Model

We investigate the structure of quantum magic in interacting disordered fermionic systems, quantifying non-stabilizerness via the fermionic stabilizer Rényi entropy (SRE). To resolve the distribution of magic across different scales, we introduce a multipartite non-local magic functional, constructed from an inclusion-exclusion combination of subsystem contributions. This measure serves as a fine-grained diagnostic, isolating genuinely global contributions and revealing nontrivial interactions between local and collective supports of magic. We illustrate the measure on paradigmatic multipartite states and apply these diagnostics to the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model and its variants. Crucially, for thermal/typical ensembles, we observe a marked disparity between Thermal Pure Quantum (TPQ) states and the thermal density matrix. This reveals a concealed complexity: the immense computational hardness characterizing the unitary evolution is encoded in the specific microstructure of the black hole microstates, while being washed out in the coarse-grained thermodynamic description. Furthermore, in $\mathcal N=2$ supersymmetric SYK, we show that while fortuitous BPS states exhibit intermediate stabilizer complexity, the multipartite measure unveils a rich, sector-dependent pattern of global correlations, distinguishing them from generic chaotic states.

Fast Scrambling due to Rotating Shockwaves in BTZ

We study the perturbation due to rotating shockwaves in BTZ geometries at late times and analyse the change in Mutual Information between the two subsystems belonging to the dual CFT$_L$ and CFT$_R$. We find that the scrambling of Mutual Information is in general governed by the Lyapunov index $λ_L$ which is bounded by $κ=\frac{2π}{β(1-μ\mathcal{L})}\geq \frac{2π}β$ where $μ=r_-/r_+$ and $\mathcal{L}$ is the angular momentum of the shockwave. For the special case of $\mathcal{L}$=$1$ we find the Mutual Information analytically and show that it is characterized by $λ_L=κ/2$ with the scrambling time for large black holes given as $t_*=\frac{β(1-μ)}π\log S$.

Page Curve for Entanglement Negativity through Geometric Evaporation

We compute the entanglement negativity for various pure and mixed state configurations in a bath coupled to an evaporating two dimensional non-extremal Jackiw-Teitelboim (JT) black hole obtained through the partial dimensional reduction of a three dimensional BTZ black hole. Our results exactly reproduce the analogues of the Page curve for the entanglement negativity which were recently determined through diagrammatic technique developed in the context of random matrix theory.

Islands for Entanglement Negativity

We advance two alternative proposals for the island contributions to the entanglement negativity of various pure and mixed state configurations in quantum field theories coupled to semiclassical gravity. The first construction involves the extremization of an algebraic sum of the generalized Renyi entropies of order half. The second proposal involves the extremization of the sum of the effective entanglement negativity of quantum matter fields and the backreacted area of a cosmic brane spanning the entanglement wedge cross section which also extremizes the generalized Renyi reflected entropy of order half. These proposals are utilized to obtain the island contributions to the entanglement negativity of various pure and mixed state configurations involving the bath systems coupled to extremal and non-extremal black holes in JT gravity demonstrating an exact match with each other. Furthermore, the results from both the proposals match precisely with the island contribution to half the Renyi reflected entropy of order half providing a strong consistency check. We then allude to a possible doubly holographic picture of our island proposals and provide a derivation of the first proposal by determining the corresponding replica wormhole contributions.

Correlation functions in ${\cal N}=2$ Supersymmetric vector matter Chern-Simons theory

We compute the two, three point function of the opearators in the spin zero multiplet of ${\cal N}=2$ Supersymmetric vector matter Chern-Simons theory at large $N$ and at all orders of 't Hooft coupling by solving the Schwinger-Dyson equation. Schwinger-Dyson method to compute four point function becomes extremely complicated and hence we use bootstrap method to solve for four point function of scaler operator $J_0^{f}=\barψψ$ and $J_0^{b}=\barϕϕ$. Interestingly, due to the fact that $\langle J_0^{f}J_0^{f}J_0^{b} \rangle$ is a contact term, the four point function of $ J_0^{f}$ operator looks like that of free theory up to overall coupling constant dependent factors and up to some bulk AdS contact terms. On the other hand the $J_0^{b}$ four-point function receives an additional contribution compared to the free theory expression due to the $J_0^{f}$ exchange. Interestingly, double discontinuity of this single trace operator $J_0^{f}$ vanishes and hence it only contributes to AdS-contact term.

Entanglement negativity, Holography and Black holes

We investigate the application of our recent holographic entanglement negativity conjecture for higher dimensional conformal field theories to specific examples which serve as crucial consistency checks. In this context we compute the holographic entanglement negativity for bipartite pure and finite temperature mixed state configurations in $d$-dimensional conformal field theories dual to bulk pure $AdS_{d+1}$ geometry and $AdS_{d+1}$-Schwarzschild black holes respectively. It is observed that the holographic entanglement negativity characterizes the distillable entanglement for the finite temperature mixed states through the elimination of the thermal contributions. Significantly our examples correctly reproduce universal features of the entanglement negativity for corresponding two dimensional conformal field theories, in higher dimensions.

Covariant holographic entanglement negativity

We propose a covariant holographic conjecture for the entanglement negativity of mixed states in bipartite systems described by $d$-dimensional conformal field theories dual to bulk non static $AdS_{d+1}$ configurations. Application of our conjecture to $(1+1)$-dimensional conformal field theories dual to bulk rotating BTZ black holes exactly reproduces the corresponding entanglement negativity in the large central charge limit and characterizes the distillable entanglement. We further demonstrate that our conjecture applied to the case of bulk extremal rotating BTZ black holes also characterizes the entanglement negativity for the chiral half of the corresponding zero temperature $(1+1)$-dimensional holographic conformal field theories.

Entanglement thermodynamics for charged black holes

The holographic quantum entanglement entropy for an infinite strip region of the boundary for the field theory dual to charged black holes in ${\cal A}dS_{3+1}$ is investigated. In this framework we elucidate the low and high temperature behavior of the entanglement entropy pertaining to various limits of the black hole charge. In the low temperature regime we establish a first law of entanglement thermodynamics for the boundary field theory.

Intensity interferometry with more than two detectors?

The original intensity interferometers were instruments built in the 1950s and 60s by Hanbury Brown and collaborators, achieving milli-arcsec resolutions in visible light without optical-quality mirrors. They exploited a then-novel physical effect, now known as HBT correlation after the experiments of Hanbury Brown and Twiss, and nowadays considered fundamental in quantum optics. Now a new generation of inten- sity interferometers is being designed, raising the possibility of measuring intensity correlations with three or more detectors. Quantum optics predicts some interesting features in higher-order HBT. One is that HBT correlation increases combinatorially with the number of detectors. Signal to noise considerations suggest, that many-detector HBT correlations would be mea- surable for bright masers, but very difficult for thermal sources. But the more modest three-detector HBT correlation seems measurable for bright stars, and would provide image information (namely the bispectrum) not present in standard HBT.
