Principles of Quantum Universe

The present monograph is devoted to the theory of gravitation derived consequently as joint nonlinear realization of conformal and affine symmetries by means of Cartan differential forms. In the framework of the joint nonlinear realization of conformal and affine symmetries the interpretation of the last cosmological observational data of Ia Supernovae, anisotropy of the primordial radiation temperature and the mass spectrum of electroweak bosons, including the Higgs particle mass in the expected region ~ 125 GeV, is given. All these observational and experimental data testify to the vacuum energy dominance. The vacuum Casimir energy is a source of intensive cosmological quantum creation gravitons and electroweak bosons including Higgs particles from the empty Universe during the first 10^(-12) sec. The products of decay of the electroweak bosons give the matter content of the present day Universe, including primordial radiation and its baryon asymmetry.

Spontaneous radiatively induced breaking of conformal invariance in the Standard Model

A mechanism of radiatively induced breaking of the conformal symmetry in the Standard Model is suggested. The system of one scalar (Higgs) and one fermion (top-quark) fields with Yukawa and $ϕ^4$ interactions is considered. The infrared instability of the Coleman-Weinberg effective potential for this system leads to the appearance of a finite renormalization scale and thus to breaking of the conformal symmetry. Finite condensates of both scalar and spinor fields appear. It is shown that the top quark condensate can supersede the tachyon mass of the Higgs field. The Higgs boson is treated as an elementary scalar and the standard mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking remains unchanged. The difference from the Standard Model appears in the value of the Higgs boson self-coupling constant.

Condensate Mechanism of Conformal Symmetry Breaking and the Higgs Boson

A mechanism of spontaneous conformal symmetry breaking based on field condensates in the Standard Model of strong and electroweak interactions is suggested. It is shown that an existence of the top quark condensate can supersede the tachyon mass term in the Higgs potential in the standard mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking. Considering the ratio of a field condensate to the corresponding mass power (depending on quantum statistics) for various fields as a conformal invariant, we obtain the Higgs boson mass to be about $130\pm 15$ GeV.

Conformal and Affine Hamiltonian Dynamics of General Relativity

The Hamiltonian approach to the General Relativity is formulated as a joint nonlinear realization of conformal and affine symmetries by means of the Dirac scalar dilaton and the Maurer-Cartan forms. The dominance of the Casimir vacuum energy of physical fields provides a good description of the type Ia supernova luminosity distance--redshift relation. Introducing the uncertainty principle at the Planck's epoch within our model, we obtain the hierarchy of the Universe energy scales, which is supported by the observational data. We found that the invariance of the Maurer-Cartan forms with respect to the general coordinate transformation yields a single-component strong gravitational waves. The Hamiltonian dynamics of the model describes the effect of an intensive vacuum creation of gravitons and the minimal coupling scalar (Higgs) bosons in the Early Universe.

Bound States in Gauge Theories as the Poincare Group Representations

The bound state generating functional is constructed in gauge theories. This construction is based on the Dirac Hamiltonian approach to gauge theories, the Poincaré group classification of fields and their nonlocal bound states, and the Markov-Yukawa constraint of irreducibility. The generating functional contains additional anomalous creations of pseudoscalar bound states: para-positronium in QED and mesons in QCD in the two gamma processes of the type of γ+ γ= π_0+para-positronium. The functional allows us to establish physically clear and transparent relations between the perturbative QCD to its nonperturbative low energy model by means of normal ordering and the quark and gluon condensates. In the limit of small current quark masses, the Gell-Mann-Oakes-Renner relation is derived from the Schwinger-Dyson (SD) and Bethe-Salpeter (BS) equations. The constituent quark masses can be calculated from a self-consistent non-linear equation.

Pion Polarizability in the NJL model and Possibilities of its Experimental Studies in Coulomb Nuclear Scattering

The charge pion polarizability is calculated in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model, where the quark loops (in the mean field approximation) and the meson loops (in the $1/N_c$ approximation) are taken into account. We show that quark loop contribution dominates, because the meson loops strongly conceal each other. The sigma-pole contribution $(m^2_σ-t)^{-1}$ plays the main role and contains strong t-dependence of the effective pion polarizability at the region $|t|\geq 4M_π^2$. Possibilities of experimental test of this sigma-pole effect in the reaction of Coulomb Nuclear Scattering are estimated for the COMPASS experiment.

Hamiltonian Unification of General Relativity and Standard Model

The Hamiltonian approach to the General Relativity and the Standard Model is studied in the context of its consistency with the Newton law, the Higgs effect, the Hubble cosmological evolution and the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation physics. The version of the Higgs potential is proposed, where its constant parameter is replaced by the dynamic zeroth Fourier harmonic of the very Higgs field. In this model, the extremum of the Coleman--Weinberg effective potential obtained from the unit vacuum--vacuum transition amplitude immediately predicts mass of Higgs field and removes tremendous vacuum cosmological density. We show that the relativity principles unambiguously treat the Planck epoch, in the General Relativity, as the present-day one. It was shown that there are initial data of the Electro-Weak epoch compatible with supposition that all particles in the Universe are final products of decays of primordial Higgs particles and W-, Z-vector bosons created from vacuum at the instant treated as the "Big-Bang".

Kinetic description of fermion production in the oscillator representation

We investigate the fermion creation in quantum kinetic theory by applying ``oscillator representation'' approach, which was earlier developed for bosonic systems. We show that in some particular cases (Yukawa-like interaction, fixed direction of external vector field) resulting Kinetic Equation (KE) reduces to KE obtained by time-dependent Bogoliubov transformation method. We conclude ``oscillator representation'' approach to be more universal for the derivation of quantum transport equations in strong space-homogeneous time-dependent fields. We discuss some possible applications of obtained KE to cosmology and particle production in strong laser fields.

Quantum Gravity as Theory of "Superfluidity"

A version of the cosmological perturbation theory in general relativity (GR) is developed, where the cosmological scale factor is identified with spatial averaging of the metric determinant logarithm and the cosmic evolution acquires the pattern of a superfluid motion: the absence of "friction-type" interaction, the London-type wave function, and the Bogoliubov condensation of quantum universes. This identification keeps the number of variables of GR and leads to a new type of potential perturbations. A set of arguments is given in favor of that this "superfluid" version of GR is in agreement with the observational data.

Monopole Vacuum in Non-Abelian Theories

It is shown that, in the theory of interacting Yang -Mills fields and a Higgs field, there is a topological degeneracy of Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield (BPS) monopoles and that there arises, in this case, a chromoelectric monopole characterized by a new topological variable that describes transitions between topological states of the monopole in the Minkowski space (in just the same way as an instanton describes such transitions in the Euclidean space). The limit of an infinitely large mass of the Higgs field at a finite density of the BPS monopole is considered as a model of the stable vacuum in the pure Yang-Mills theory. It is shown that, in QCD, such a monopole vacuum may lead to a rising potential, a topological confinement and an additional mass of the $η_0$ meson. The relationship between the result obtained here for the generating functional of perturbation theory and Faddeev-Popov integral is discussed.

Cosmic Evolution as Inertial Motion in the Field Space of GR

The identification of a cosmic scale function with the volume integral of a spacelike hypersurface defines the cosmic evolution in General Relativity as a collective motion along a geodesic in the field space of the metric components, considered as the coset of the affine group over the Lorentz one. The Friedmann equations are derived out of the homogeneous approximation by the Gibbs averaging exact equations over the relative constant spatial volume. A direct correspondence between the collective cosmic motion and Special Relativity is established, to solve the problem of time and energy by analogy with the solution of this problem for a relativistic particle by Poincare and Einstein. A geometrical time interval is introduced into quantum theory of the relativistic collective motion by the canonical Levi-Civita -- type transformation in agreement with the correspondence principle with quantum field theory. In this context the problem of quantum cosmological creation of visible matter is formulated. We show that latest observational data can testify to the relative measurement standard, and the cosmic evolution as an inertial motion along geodesic in the field space.

Description of Supernova Data in Conformal Cosmology without Cosmological Constant

We consider cosmological consequences of a conformal invariant formulation of Einstein's General Relativity where instead of the scale factor of the spatial metrics in the action functional a massless scalar (dilaton) field occurs which scales all masses including the Planck mass. Instead of the expansion of the universe we get the Hoyle-Narlikar type of mass evolution, where the temperature history of the universe is replaced by the mass history. We show that this conformal invariant cosmological model gives a satisfactory description of the new supernova Ia data for the effective magnitude - redshift relation without a cosmological constant and make a prediction for the high-redshift behavior which deviates from that of standard cosmology for $z>1.7$.

Proper Time Dynamics in General Relativity and Conformal Unified Theory

The paper is devoted to the description a measurable time-interval (``proper time'') in the Hamiltonian version of general relativity with the Dirac-ADM metric. To separate the dynamical parameter of evolution from the space metric we use the Lichnerowicz conformally invariant variables. In terms of these variables GR is equivalent to the conformally invariant Penrose-Chernicov-Tagirov theory of a scalar field the role of which is played by the scale factor multiplied on the Planck constant. Identification of this scalar field with the modulus of the Higgs field in the standard model of electroweak and strong interactions allows us to formulate an example of conformally invariant unified theory where the vacuum averaging of the scalar field is determined by cosmological integrals of motion of the Universe evolution.
