One loop integration with hypergeometric series by using recursion relations

General one-loop integrals with arbitrary mass and kinematical parameters in $d$-dimensional space-time are studied. By using Bernstein theorem, a recursion relation is obtained which connects $(n+1)$-point to $n$-point functions. In solving this recursion relation, we have shown that one-loop integrals are expressed by a newly defined hypergeometric function, which is a special case of Aomoto-Gelfand hypergeometric functions. We have also obtained coefficients of power series expansion around 4-dimensional space-time for two-, three- and four-point functions. The numerical results are compared with LoopTools for the case of two- and three-point functions as examples.

Numerical calculation of one-loop integration with hypergeometric functions

One-loop two-, three- and four-point scalar functions are analytically integrated directly such that they are expressed in terms of Lauricella's hypergeometric function $F_D$. For two- and three-point functions, exact expressions are obtained with arbitrary combination of kinematic and mass parameters in arbitrary space-time dimension. Four-point function is expressed in terms of $F_D$ up to the finite part in the expansion around 4-dimensional space-time with arbitrary combination of kinematic and mass parameters. Since the location of the possible singularities of $F_D$ is known, information about the stabilities in the numerical calculation is obtained. We have developed a numerical library calculating $F_D$ around 4-dimensional space-time. The numerical values for IR divergent cases of four-point functions in massless QCD are calculated and agreed with golem95 package.

Broken $S_3$ Symmetry in Flavor Physics

The $S_3$ symmetry is shown to be a very good approximate symmetry when it is broken in a specific way. This is true both in quark sector and in lepton sector. The way to break it is implied by the K-M mechanism applied not to the mixing matrix but to the mass matrices. In quark sector, we have an almost perfect fitting to the experimental data, and in lepton sector, we have a precision for the $θ_{13}$.

Sector decomposition via computational geometry

A non-iterative method is presented for the factorization step of sector decomposition method, which separates infrared divergent part from loop integration. This method is based on a classification of asymptotic behavior of polynomials. The problem is converted to ones for convex body in Euclidean space. They are solved with algorithms developed in computational geometry. A test implementation shows that this method produces less number of decomposed sectors than usual iterative sector decompositions.

A geometric method of sector decomposition

We propose a new geometric method of IR factorization in sector decomposition. The problem is converted into a set of problems in convex geometry. The latter problems are solved using algorithms in combinatorial geometry. This method provides a deterministic algorithm and never falls into an infinite loop. The number of resulting sectors depends on the algorithm of triangulation. Our test implementation shows smaller number of sectors comparing with other existing methods with iterations.

The SUSY-GRACE system

We introduce a new method to treat Majorana fermions on the GRACE system which has been developed for the computation of the matrix elements for the processes of the standard model. In the standard model, we already have such particles as Dirac fermions, gauge bosons and scalar bosons in the system. On the other hand, in the SUSY models there are Majorana fermions. In the first instance, we have constructed a system for the automatic computation of cross-sections for the processes of the SUSY QED. It is remarkable that our system is also applicable to another model including Majorana fermions (e.g. MSSM) once the definition of the model file is given.
