Elementary Integration of Superelliptic Integrals

Consider a superelliptic integral I=∫P/(QS1/k)dxI=\int P/(Q S^{1/k}) dx with K=Q(ξ)\mathbb{K}=\mathbb{Q}(ξ), ξξ a primitive kkth root of unity, P,Q,S∈K[x]P,Q,S\in\mathbb{K}[x] and SS has simple roots and degree coprime with kk. Note dd the maximum of the degree of P,Q,SP,Q,S, hh the logarithmic height of the coefficients and gg the genus of yk−S(x)y^k-S(x). We present an algorithm which solves the elementary integration problem of II generically in O((kd)ω+2g+1hg+1)O((kd)^{ω+2g+1} h^{g+1}) operations.

Integrability of the one dimensional Schroedinger equation

We present a definition of integrability for the one dimensional Schroedinger equation, which encompasses all known integrable systems, i.e. systems for which the spectrum can be explicitly computed. For this, we introduce the class of rigid functions, built as Liouvillian functions, but containing all solutions of rigid differential operators in the sense of Katz, and a notion of natural boundary conditions. We then make a complete classification of rational integrable potentials. Many new integrable cases are found, some of them physically interesting.

Integrability and non integrability of some n body problems

We prove the non integrability of the colinear 33 and 44 body problem, for any masses positive masses. To deal with resistant cases, we present strong integrability criterions for 33 dimensional homogeneous potentials of degree −1-1, and prove that such cases cannot appear in the 44 body problem. Following the same strategy, we present a simple proof of non integrability for the planar nn body problem. Eventually, we present some integrable cases of the nn body problem restricted to some invariant vector spaces.

Integrable homogeneous potentials of degree −1-1 in the plane with small eigenvalues

We give a complete classification of meromorphically integrable homogeneous potentials VV of degree −1-1 which are real analytic on R2∖{0}\mathbb{R}^2\setminus \{0\}. In the more general case when VV is only meromorphic on an open set of an algebraic variety, we give a classification of all integrable potentials having a Darboux point cc with V′(c)=−c,  c12+c22≠0V'(c)=-c,\; c_1^2+c_2^2\neq 0 and Sp(∇2V(c))⊂{−1,0,2}\hbox{Sp}(\nabla^2 V(c)) \subset\{-1,0,2\}. We eventually present a conjecture for the other eigenvalues and the degenerate Darboux point case V′(c)=0V'(c)=0.

Computing necessary integrability conditions for planar parametrized homogeneous potentials

Let $V\in\mathbb{Q}(i)(\a_1,\dots,\a_n)(\q_1,\q_2)$ be a rationally parametrized planar homogeneous potential of homogeneity degree k≠−2,0,2k\neq -2, 0, 2. We design an algorithm that computes polynomial \emph{necessary} conditions on the parameters $(\a_1,\dots,\a_n)$ such that the dynamical system associated to the potential VV is integrable. These conditions originate from those of the Morales-Ramis-Simó integrability criterion near all Darboux points. The implementation of the algorithm allows to treat applications that were out of reach before, for instance concerning the non-integrability of polynomial potentials up to degree 99. Another striking application is the first complete proof of the non-integrability of the \emph{collinear three body problem}.

Meromorphically integrable homogeneous potentials with multiple Darboux points

We prove that the only meromorphically integrable planar homogeneous potential of degree k <> -2,0,2 having a multiple Darboux point is the potential invariant by rotation. This case is a singular case of the Maciejewski-Przybylska relation on eigenvalues at Darboux points of homogeneous potentials, and needed before a case by case special analysis. The most striking application of this Theorem is the complete classification of integrable real analytic homogeneous potentials in the plane of negative degree.

Third order integrability conditions for homogeneous potentials of degree -1

We prove an integrability criterion of order 3 for a homogeneous potential of degree -1 in the plane. Still, this criterion depends on some integer and it is impossible to apply it directly except for families of potentials whose eigenvalues are bounded. To address this issue, we use holonomic and asymptotic computations with error control of this criterion and apply it to the potential of the form V(r,θ)=r^{-1} h(\exp(iθ)) with h a polynomial of degree less than 3. We find then all meromorphically integrable potentials of this form.

Non integrability of the n body problem with non zero angular momentum

We prove an integrability criterion and a partial integrability criterion for homogeneous potentials of degree -1 which are invariant by rotation. We then apply it to the proof of the meromorphic non-integrability of the n body problem with Newtonian interaction in the plane on a surface of equation (H,C)=(H0,C0)(H,C)=(H_0,C_0) with (H0,C0)≠(0,0)(H_0,C_0) \neq (0,0) where C is the angular momentum and H the energy, in the case where the n masses are equal.
