Regulating spin dynamics of graphene flakes

A method of regulating spin dynamics of the so-called magnetic graphene is analyzed. Magnetic moments can be incorporated into graphene flakes and graphene ribbons through defects, such as adatoms and vacancies. Local spins can also be attached to graphene at hydrogenated zigzag edges. Spin flips can be produced by transverse pulses and by connecting the sample to a resonance electric coil. The action of the resonator feedback field strongly accelerates spin reversal. The possibility of fast spin reversal is important for spintronics and for quantum information processing allowing for an efficient functioning of spin registers.

Generation of coherent radiation by magnetization reversal in graphene

Local magnetic moments can be created in graphene by incorporating different defects. The possibility of regulating dynamics of magnetization in graphene, by employing the Purcell effect, is analyzed. The role of the system parameters in magnetization reversal is studied. The characteristics of such a reversal can be varied in a wide range, which can be used for various applications in spintronics. It is shown that fast magnetization reversal generates coherent radiation.

Spintronics with magnetic nanomolecules and graphene flakes

We show how the magnetization of nano-objects can be efficiently regulated. Several types of nanosystems are considered: magnetics nanomolecules, magnetic nanoclusters, polarized nanomolecules, and magnetic graphene. These nano-objects and the structures composed of them enjoy many common properties, with the main difference being in the type of particle interactions. The possibility of governing spin dynamics is important for spintronics.

Using wavelet analysis to compare the QCD prediction and experimental data on $R_{e^+e^-}$ and to determine parameters of the charmonium states above the $D\bar D$ threshold

The first part of our analysis uses the wavelet method to compare the Quantum Chromodynamic (QCD) prediction for the ratio of hadronic to muon cross sections in electron-positron collisions, $R$, with experimental data for $R$ over a center of mass energy range up to about 7 GeV. A direct comparison of the raw experimental data and the QCD prediction is difficult because the data have a wide range of structures and large statistical errors and the QCD description contains sharp quark-antiquark thresholds. However, a meaningful comparison can be made if a type of "smearing" procedure is used to smooth out rapid variations in both the theoretical and experimental values of $R$. A wavelet analysis (WA) can be used to achieve this smearing effect. The second part of the analysis we concentrate on the 3.0 - 6.0 GeV energy region containing the relatively wide charmonium resonances $ψ(1^-)$. We use the wavelet methodology. Both analyses are examples of the usefulness of WA in extracting information in a model independent way from high energy physics data.
