Seesaw neutrinos with one right-handed singlet field and a second Higgs doublet

We study parameters of an extension of the Standard Model. The neutrino sector is enlarged by one right-handed singlet field, allowing for the seesaw mechanism type-I, and the Higgs sector contains one additional doublet, which contributes to light neutrino masses through one-loop radiative corrections. Employing an approximation for the effective light neutrino mass matrix we express the masses of the light neutrinos analytically, allowing us to parametrize the Yukawa couplings to neutrinos by the experimental measurements on the neutrino sector and only two free parameters. We focus on a CP-conserving Higgs potential for which we present the allowed ranges of the input parameters and a statistical overview over the possible values of the Yukawa couplings.

Parametrizing the Neutrino sector of the seesaw extension in tau decays

The Standard Model includes neutrinos as massless particles, but neutrino oscillations showed that neutrinos are not massless. A simple extension of adding gauge singlet fermions to the particle spectrum allows normal Yukawa mass terms for neutrinos. The smallness of the neutrino masses can be well understood within the seesaw mechanism. We analyse two cases of the minimal extension of the standard model when one or two right-handed fields are added to the three left-handed fields. A second Higgs doublet is included in our model. We calculate the one-loop radiative corrections to the mass parameters which produce mass terms for the neutral leptons. In both cases we numerically analyse light neutrino masses as functions of the heavy neutrinos masses. Parameters of the model are varied to find light neutrino masses that are compatible with experimental data of solar and atmospheric neutrino oscillations for normal and inverted hierarchy.

CP-violating asymmetry in chargino decay into neutralino and W boson

In the MSSM with complex parameters, loop corrections to $\cha_i^\pm \to \neu_j^0 W^\pm$ lead to a CP violating asymmetry $\ACP = (Γ(\cha_i^+ \to \neu_j^0 W^+) - Γ(\cha_i^- \to \neu_j^0 W^-))/ (Γ(\cha_i^+ \to \neu_j^0 W^+) + Γ(\cha_i^- \to \neu_j^0 W^-))$. We calculate this asymmetry at full one-loop level. We perform a detailed numerical analysis for $\cha_1^\pm \to \neu_1^0 W^\pm$ and $\cha_2^\pm \to \neu_1^0 W^\pm$ analyzing the dependence on the parameters and phases involved. Asymmetries of several percent are obtained. We also discuss the feasability of measuring these asymmtries at LHC.

General Flavor Blind MSSM and CP Violation

We study the implications on flavor changing neutral current and CP violating processes in the context of supersymmetric theories without a new flavor structure (flavor blind supersymmetry). The low energy parameters are determined by the running of the soft breaking terms from the grand unified scale with SUSY phases consistent with the EDM constraints. We find that the CP asymmetry in b --> s gamma can reach large values potentially measurable at B factories, especially in the low BR(b --> s gamma) region. We perform a fit of the unitarity triangle including all the relevant observables. In this case, no sizeable deviations from the SM expectations are found. Finally we analyze the SUSY contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon pointing out its impact on the b --> s gamma CP asymmetry and on the SUSY spectrum including chargino and stop masses.

Electron and Neutron Electric Dipole Moments in the Constrained MSSM

We analyze the effects of CP-violating phases on the electric dipole moment (EDM) of electron and neutron in the constrained minimal supersymmetric model. We find that the phases phi_μ and phi_{A_0} have to be strongly correlated, in particular for small values of the SUSY mass parameters. We calculate the neutron EDM in two different models, the Quark-Parton Model and the Chiral Quark Model. It turns out that the predictions are quite sensitive to the model used. We show parameter regions in the M_0-M_1/2 plane which are excluded by considering simultaneously the experimental bounds of both electron and neutron EDM, assuming specific values for the phases phi_μ and phi_{A_0}.

CP violating angular asymmetries of b and bbar quarks in e+e- -> t tbar

We obtain analytical formulae for the cross section and the angular distributions of the b(bbar) quarks in the process e+e- -> t tbar, with t -> W+ b (tbar -> W- bbar) assuming CP violation in the γt tbar and Z t tbar vertices. We present CP violating asymmetries, which measure separately the real and imaginary parts of the electroweak dipole moment form factors of the top, d^γ(s) and d^{Z}(s). We give a numerical analysis of these asymmetries within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex parameters. They turn out to be of order <= 10^{-3}.

CP violation in e+e- -> t tbar: Energy Asymmetries and Optimal Observables of b and bbar Quarks

The energy spectra of the b and bbar quarks in e+e- -> t tbar with t -> b W (tbar -> bbar W) are calculated assuming CP violation in the production process. Expressions for the corresponding CP violating asymmetries and optimal observables that determine the imaginary parts of the electric and weak dipole moment form factors of the top are derived. It is shown that polarization of the initial lepton beams is essential to disentangle Im d^γ(s) and Im d^{Z}(s). Numerical results are given in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with complex phases.
