On the Performance Optimization of Two-way Hybrid VLC/RF based IoT System over Cellular Spectrum

This paper investigates the system outage performance of a useful architecture of two-way hybrid visible light communication/radio frequency (VLC/RF) communication using overlay mode of cooperative cognitive radio network (CCRN). The demand of high data rate application can be fulfilled using VLC link and communication over a wide area of coverage with high reliability can be achieved through RF link. In the proposed architecture, cooperative communication between two licensed user (LU) nodes is accomplished via an aggregation agent (AA). AA can perform like a relay node and in return, it can access the LU spectrum for two-way communications with Internet-of-Things (IoT) device. First, closed form expressions of outage probability of both LU and IoT communication are established. On the basis of these expressions, optimization problems are formulated to achieve minimum outage probability of both LU and IoT network. The impacts of both VLC and RF system parameters on these systems outage probability and throughput are finally shown in simulation results.

Outage Analysis in SWIPT Enabled Cooperative AF/DF Relay Assisted Two-Way Spectrum Sharing Communication

This paper reports relative performance of decode-and-forward (DF) and amplify-and-forward (AF) relaying in a multi-antenna cooperative cognitive radio network (CCRN) that supports device-to-device (D2D) communications using spectrum sharing technique in cellular network. In this work, cellular system is considered as primary and internet of things devices (IoDs), engaged in D2D communications, are considered to be secondary system. The devices access the licensed spectrum by means of the cooperation in two-way primary communications. Furthermore, IoDs are energized by harvesting the energy from radio frequency (RF) signals, using simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) protocol. Closed form expressions of outage probability for both cellular and D2D communications are derived and the impact of various design parameters for both AF and DF relaying techniques are studied. Based on the simulation results, it is found that the proposed spectrum sharing protocol, for both DF relaying and AF relaying schemes, outperform another similar network architecture in terms of spectrum efficiency. It is also observed that the performance of the proposed system using DF relaying is better than AF relaying scheme in terms of energy efficiency at same transmit power.

Performance evaluation on the basis of Bit error rate for different order of Modulation and different length of Subchannels in ofdm system

Today, we have required to accommodate a large number of users under a single base station. This can be possible only if we have some flexibility over the spectrum. Previously we have lots of multiplexing methods to accommodate large number of signals in time and frequency domain. But now we have required to accommodate a large number of users in the same bandwidth, without any fading over the received signal. So, orthogonality can be maintained over the frequency response. This technology is now more popular in the mobile communication domain, called Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM). Actually user data can be converted into the parallel form and then they are modulated using digital modulation techniques. Finally, they have followed by OFDM Modulator and cyclic prefix can be inserted into the OFDM symbols. Here, I have worked on the measurement of Bit error rate for different modulation techniques in OFDM technology. It has been considered that subchannel size is not constant. According to that I have concluded the overall idea regarding the performance under OFDM technology.

Performance evaluation with a Comparative analysis of mimo channel on The basis of doppler shift and other Probabilistic parameters in fading Environment

At this present scenario, the demand of the system capacity is very high in wireless network. MIMO technology is used from the last decade to provide this requirement for wireless network antenna technology. MIMO channels are mostly used for advanced antenna array technology. But it is most important to control the error rate with enhanced system capacity in MIMO for present-day progressive wireless communication. This paper explores the frame error rate with respect to different path gain of MIMO channel. This work has been done in different fading scenario and produces a comparative analysis of MIMO on the basis of those fading models in various conditions. Here, it is to be considered that modulation technique as QPSK to observe these comparative evaluations for different Doppler frequencies. From the comparative analysis, minimum amount of frame error rate is viewed for Rician distribution at LOS path Doppler shift of 0 Hz. At last, this work is concluded with a comparative bit error rate study on the basis of singular parameters at different SNR levels to produce the system performance for uncoded QPSK modulation.

Comparative Study of QOS Parameters of SIP protocol in 802.11a and 802.11b Network

Present day, the internet telephony growth is much faster than previous. Now we are familiar with digitized packet of voice stream. So, we have required VOIP communication. SIP is one type of VOIP protocol. This one has a SIP proxy. There have one of the important communication environment Wireless LAN (WLAN). WLAN have different radio link standard. Here I am comparing SIP protocol in two radio link standard 802.11a and 802.11b environment. The first one have maximum transmission rate of 54Mbps and second one have maximum transmission rate of 11Mbps. In this paper I want to show the results in a comparative plot. These comparisons include server /client throughput, packet drops, end to end delay etc.

Comparative Study of Various VOIP Applications in 802.11a Wireless Network Scenario

Today, Voice over Wireless Local Area Network (VOWLAN) is the most accepted Internet application. There are a large number of literatures regarding the performance of various WLAN networks. Most of them focus on simulations and modeling, but there are also some experiments with real networks. This paper explains the comparison of performance of two different VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) applications over the same IEEE 802.11a wireless network. Radio link standard 802.11a have maximum transmission rate of 54Mbps. First protocol is session initiation protocol (SIP) and second is H.323 protocol. First one has an agent called SIP proxy. Second have a gateway reflects the characteristics of a Switched Circuit Network (SCN). With this comparison we have required to obtain a better understanding of wireless network suitability for voice communication in IP network.
