Quasinormal Modes of Near-Extremal Black Holes and Black Strings in Massive Gravity Background

Two numerical methods are used to calculate quasinormal modes (QNMs) of near-extremal black holes/strings in the generalized spherically/cylindrically symmetric background, the Asymptotic Iteration Method (AIM) and the Spectral Method. The numerical results confirm the accuracy of the approximate analytic formula using the Pöschl-Teller potential. Our analytic formula is used to investigate the Strong Cosmic Censorship conjecture of extremal and near-extremal black holes in Ref. \cite{Burikham:2020dfi}.

Tidal Deformation and Radial Pulsations of Neutron Star with Holographic Multiquark Core

Tidal deformation of neutron star with multiquark core is calculated using nuclear and multiquark equations of state. The equation of state of the multiquark phase from the holographic Sakai-Sugimoto~(SS) model is relatively stiff in the low density region and becomes softer at high densities. The values of Love number and dimensionless deformation parameter, $k_{2}$ and $Λ$, are found to be within the physically viable range under the present constraints. Radial pulsation frequencies of the multiquark core for $n=0-5$ modes are calculated for the entire mass range. For $M_{\rm core}\simeq 2 M_{\odot}$, the fundamental-mode frequency is approximately $2.5$ kHz for the energy density scale $ε_{s}=23.2037$ GeV/fm$^{3}$ of the holographic SS model, this frequency is proportional to $\sqrt{ε_{s}}$.

Slowly Rotating Neutron Star with Holographic Multiquark Core: I-Love-Q Relations

Moment of inertia ($I$), rotational~(tidal) Love number ($λ^{\rm (rot)}$) and quadrupole moment ($Q$) of slowly rotating massive neutron star~(NS) with holographic multiquark~(MQ) core are computed in comparison to pure MQ star. The Chiral Effective Theory~(CET) stiff equation of state~(EoS) is used in the crust of the neutron star. The dimensionless multipole moments $\bar{I},\barλ^{\rm (rot)}, \bar{Q}$ are found to be independent of the rotation parameters and determined completely by the zeroth-order star profile. Universal ``I-Love-Q'' relations found by Yagi and Yunes [1,2] are mostly preserved even in the presence of the MQ core. Tidal deformation parameter $\barλ^{\rm (tid)}$ is also explored in connection with $\bar{I}, \barλ^{\rm (rot)}, \bar{Q}$, two kinds of universal I-Love-Q relations are verified. However, the unique kink in the plots of multipoles with respect to mass and compactness of the population of neutron stars can reveal the existence of massive NS with the MQ core.

Thermalon mediated AdS to dS phase transitions in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet-massive gravity

In this work, gravitational phase transition emerging from anti de-Sitter (AdS) to de-Sitter (dS) vacua in Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet-massive gravity (EGBMG) is considered. We determine the location of thermalon (a static bubble solution in Euclidean space) which exists in casually connected two regions of the spacetime. The thermalon plays a major role in gravitational phase transition by inducing the decay of the negative effective cosmological constant to the positive one due to the higher-order gravity effects. The thermodynamics phase space of the Hawking temperature and free energy is investigated in details. We find that the free energy of the thermalon is always negative at the maximum of Hawking temperature for all possible values of the Gauss-Bonnet couplings. This means that the phase transition mediated by thermalon from AdS to dS asymptotics is inevitable according to the presence of the massive gravity. More importantly, the parameters of the massive gravity behave similarly to the order parameters in the phase transition instead of the Gauss-Bonnet coupling.

Effect of scalar field mass on gravitating charged scalar solitons and black holes in a cavity

We study soliton and black hole solutions of Einstein charged scalar field theory in cavity. We examine the effect of introducing a scalar field mass on static, spherically symmetric solutions of the field equations. We focus particularly on the spaces of soliton and black hole solutions, as well as studying their stability under linear, spherically symmetric perturbations of the metric, electromagnetic field, and scalar field.

Solitons and hairy black holes in Einstein-non-Abelian-Proca theory in anti-de Sitter space-time

We present new soliton and hairy black hole solutions of Einstein-non-Abelian-Proca theory in asymptotically anti-de Sitter space-time with gauge group ${\mathfrak {su}}(2)$. For static, spherically symmetric configurations, we show that the gauge field must be purely magnetic, and solve the resulting field equations numerically. The equilibrium gauge field is described by a single function $ω(r)$, which must have at least one zero. The solitons and hairy black holes share many properties with the corresponding solutions in asymptotically flat space-time. In particular, all the solutions we study are unstable under linear, spherically symmetric, perturbations of the metric and gauge field.

Stability of gravitating charged-scalar solitons in a cavity

We present new regular solutions of Einstein-charged scalar field theory in a cavity. The system is enclosed inside a reflecting mirror-like boundary, on which the scalar field vanishes. The mirror is placed at the zero of the scalar field closest to the origin, and inside this boundary our solutions are regular. We study the stability of these solitons under linear, spherically symmetric perturbations of the metric, scalar and electromagnetic fields. If the radius of the mirror is sufficiently large, we present numerical evidence for the stability of the solitons. For small mirror radius, some of the solitons are unstable. We discuss the physical interpretation of this instability.

Einstein-charged scalar field theory: black hole solutions and their stability

A complex scalar field on a charged black hole in a cavity is known to experience a superradiant instability. We investigate possible final states of this instability. We find hairy black hole solutions of a fully coupled system of Einstein gravity and a charged scalar field. The black holes are surrounded by a reflecting mirror. We also investigate the stability of these black holes.
