On images of Mori dream spaces

The purpose of this paper is to study the geometry of images of morphisms from Mori dream spaces. First we prove that a variety which admits a surjective morphism from a Mori dream space is again a Mori dream space. Secondly we introduce a natural fan structure on the effective cone of Mori dream spaces. We show that it encodes the information of Zariski decompositions, which in turn is equivalent to the information of the variation of GIT quotients of their Cox rings. Finally we show that under a surjective morphism between Mori dream spaces, the fan of the target space coincides with the restriction of the fan of the source.

Compact moduli of noncommutative projective planes

We introduce the notion of the moduli stack of relations of a quiver. When the quiver with relations is derived-equivalent to an algebraic variety, the corresponding compact moduli scheme can be viewed as a compact moduli of noncommutative deformations of the variety. We study the case of noncommutative projective planes in detail, and discuss its relation with geometry of elliptic curves with level 3 structures.

Extensions of two Chow stability criteria to positive characteristics

We extend two results on Chow (semi-)stability to positive characteristics. One is on the stability of non-singular projective hypersurfaces of degree greater than 2, and the other is the criterion by Y. Lee in terms of log canonical thresholds. Some properties of log-canonicity in positive characteristics are discussed with a couple of examples, in connection with the proof of the latter one. It is also proven in appendix that the sum of Chow (semi-)stable cycles are again Chow (semi-)stable.
