Abundance theorem for minimal compact Kähler manifolds with vanishing second Chern class

In this paper, for compact Kähler manifolds with nef cotangent bundle, we study the abundance conjecture and the associated Iitaka fibrations. We show that, for a minimal compact Kähler manifold, the second Chern class vanishes if and only if the cotangent bundle is nef and the canonical bundle has the numerical dimension $0$ or $1$. Additionally, in this case, we prove that the canonical bundle is semi-ample. Furthermore, we give a relation between the variation of the fibers of the Iitaka fibration and a certain semipositivity of the cotangent bundle.

Injectivity theorem for pseudo-effective line bundles and its applications

We formulate and establish a generalization of Kollár's injectivity theorem for adjoint bundles twisted by suitable multiplier ideal sheaves. As applications, we generalize Kollár's torsion-freeness, Kollár's vanishing theorem, and a generic vanishing theorem for pseudo-effective line bundles. Our approach is not Hodge theoretic but analytic, which enables us to treat singular Hermitian metrics with nonalgebraic singularities. For the proof of the main injectivity theorem, we use $L^{2}$-harmonic forms on noncompact Kähler manifolds. For applications, we prove a Bertini-type theorem on the restriction of multiplier ideal sheaves to general members of free linear systems.

On the image of MRC fibrations of projective manifolds with semi-positive holomorphic sectional curvature

In this paper, we pose several conjectures on structures and images of maximal rationally connected fibrations of smooth projective varieties admitting semi-positive holomorphic sectional curvature. Toward these conjectures, we prove that the canonical bundle of images of such fibrations is not big. Our proof gives a generalization of Yang's solution using RC positivity for Yau's conjecture. As an application, we show that any compact Kähler surface with semi-positive holomorphic sectional curvature is rationally connected, or a complex torus, or a ruled surface over an elliptic curve.

On asymptotic base loci of relative anti-canonical divisors of algebraic fiber spaces

In this paper, we study the relative anti-canonical divisor $-K_{X/Y}$ of an algebraic fiber space $ϕ: X \to Y$, and we reveal relations among positivity conditions of $-K_{X/Y}$, certain flatness of direct image sheaves, and variants of the base loci including the stable (augmented, restricted) base loci and upper level sets of Lelong numbers. This paper contains three main results: The first result says that all the above base loci are located in the horizontal direction unless they are empty. The second result is an algebraic proof for Campana--Cao--Matsumura's equality on Hacon--$\rm{M^c}$Kernan's question, whose original proof depends on analytics methods. The third result partially solves the question which asks whether algebraic fiber spaces with semi-ample relative anti-canonical divisor actually have a product structure via the base change by an appropriate finite étale cover of $Y$. Our proof is based on algebraic as well as analytic methods for positivity of direct image sheaves.

On projective manifolds with pseudo-effective tangent bundle

In this paper, we develop the theory of singular hermitian metrics on vector bundles. As an application, we give a structure theorem of a projective manifold $X$ with pseudo-effective tangent bundle: $X$ admits a smooth fibration $X \to Y$ to a flat projective manifold $Y$ such that its general fiber is rationally connected. Moreover, by applying this structure theorem, we classify all the minimal surfaces with pseudo-effective tangent bundle and study general non-minimal surfaces, which provide examples of (possibly singular) positively curved tangent bundles.

A transcendental approach to injectivity theorem for log canonical pairs

In this paper, we study transcendental aspects of the cohomology groups of adjoint bundles of log canonical pairs, aiming to establish an analytic theory for log canonical singularities. As a result, in the case of purely log terminal pairs, we give an analytic proof of the injectivity theorem originally proved by the Hodge theory. Our method is based on the theory of harmonic integrals and the L2-method for the dbar-equation, and it enables us to generalize the injectivity theorem to the complex analytic setting.

An injectivity theorem with multiplier ideal sheaves of singular metrics with transcendental singularities

The purpose of this paper is to establish an injectivity theorem generalized to pseudo-effective line bundles with transcendental (non-algebraic) singular hermitian metrics and multiplier ideal sheaves. As an application, we obtain a Nadel type vanishing theorem. For the proof, we study the asymptotic behavior of the harmonic forms with respect to a family of regularized metrics, and give a method to obtain L2-estimates of solutions of the dbar-equation by using the de Rham-Weil isomorphism between the dbar-cohomology and the check{C}ech cohomology.

A Nadel vanishing theorem for metrics with minimal singularities on big line bundles

The purpose of this paper is to establish a Nadel vanishing theorem for big line bundles with multiplier ideal sheaves of singular metrics admitting an analytic Zariski decomposition (such as, metrics with minimal singularities and Siu's metrics). For this purpose, we apply the theory of harmonic integrals and generalize Enoki's proof of Koll'ar's injectivity theorem. Moreover we investigate the asymptotic behavior of harmonic forms with respect to a family of regularized metrics.

Injectivity theorems with multiplier ideal sheaves and their applications

The purpose of this survey is to present analytic versions of the injectivity theorem and their applications. The proof of our injectivity theorems is based on a combination of the L^2-method for the dbar-equation and the theory of harmonic integrals. As applications, we obtain Nadel type vanishing theorems and extension theorems for pluri-canonical sections of log pairs. Moreover, we give some results on semi-ampleness related to the abundance conjecture in birational geometry (the minimal model program).

Versions of injectivity and extension theorems

We give an analytic version of the injectivity theorem by using multiplier ideal sheaves, and prove some extension theorems for the adjoint bundle of dlt pairs. Moreover, by combining techniques of the minimal model program, we obtain some results for semi-ampleness related to the abundance conjecture in birational geometry and the Strominger-Yau-Zaslow conjecture for hyperKähler manifolds.

An ampleness criterion with the extendability of singular positive metrics

Coman, Guedj and Zeriahi proved that, for an ample line bundle $L$ on a projective manifold $X$, any singular positive metric on the line bundle $L|_{V}$ along a subvariety $V \subset X$ can be extended to a global singular positive metric on $L$. In this paper, we prove that the extendability of singular positive metrics on a line bundle along a subvariety implies the ampleness of the line bundle.

Asymptotic cohomology vanishing and a converse to the Andreotti-Grauert theorem on surfaces

In this paper, we study relations between positivity of the curvature and the asymptotic behavior of the higher cohomology group for tensor powers of a holomorphic line bundle. The Andreotti-Grauert vanishing theorem asserts that partial positivity of the curvature implies asymptotic vanishing of certain higher cohomology groups. We investigate the converse implication of this theorem under various situations. For example, we consider the case where a line bundle is semi-ample or big. Moreover, we show the converse implication holds on a projective surface without any assumptions on a line bundle.

Restricted volumes and divisorial Zariski decompositions

We give a relation between the existence of a Zariski decomposition and the behavior of the restricted volume of a big divisor on a smooth (complex) projective variety. Moreover, we give an analytic description of the restricted volume in the line of Boucksom's work. It enables us to define the restricted volume of a transcendental class on a compact Kähler manifold in natural way. The relation can be extended to a transcendental class.
