Probing B-Anomalies via Dimuon Tails at a Future Collider

We investigate the sensitivity of future proton-proton colliders to a contact interaction of the form $1/Λ^2 (\bar b_L γ_μs_L)(\bar μ_L γ^μμ_L)$ as indicated by the long-standing rare $B$-decay anomalies. We include NLO QCD and electroweak effects and employ an optimized binning scheme, and carefully validate our background calculation against ATLAS and CMS data. We find that the FCC-hh with $40$ ab$^{-1}$ of luminosity is able to exclude scales $Λ$ up to 26 TeV at $95 \%$ CL, and discover $Λ$ up to 20 TeV. While this is not quite enough to exclude or discover the current best-fit value of $39$ TeV, this can in principle be achieved with more luminosity and/or higher energy, as we study quantitatively. Our analysis is conservative in that it assumes only a $\bar b s μμ$ contact interaction.

Two-loop Electroweak Corrections to the Top-Quark Contribution to $ε_K$

The parameter $ε_K$ measures $CP$ violation in the neutral kaon system. It is a sensitive probe of new physics and plays a prominent role in the global fit of the Cabibbo-Kobabyashi-Maskawa matrix. The perturbative theory uncertainty is currently dominated by the top-quark contribution. Here, we present the calculation of the full two-loop electroweak corrections to the top-quark contribution to $ε_K$, including the resummation of QED-QCD logarithms. We discuss different renormalization prescriptions for the electroweak input parameters. In the traditional normalization of the weak Hamiltonian with two powers of the Fermi constant $G_F$, the top-quark contribution is shifted by $-1\%$.

Composite Higgs at high transverse momentum

In this paper we explore composite Higgs scenarios through the effects of light top-partners in Higgs+Jet production at the LHC. The pseudo-Goldstone boson nature of the Higgs field means that single-Higgs production via gluon fusion is insensitive to the mass spectrum of the top-partners. However in associated production this is not the case, and new physics scales may be probed. In the course of the work we consider scenarios with both one and two light top-partner multiplets in the spectrum of composite states. We study corrections to the Higgs couplings and the effects that the light top-partner multiplets have on the transverse momentum spectrum of the Higgs. Interestingly, we find that the corrections to the Standard Model expectation depend strongly on the representation of the top-partners in the global symmetry.
