A family of special case of sequential warped product manifolds with semi-Riemannian Einstein metrics

We derive the general formulas for a special configuration of the sequential warped product semi-Riemannian manifold to be Einstein, where the base-manifold is the product of two manifolds both equipped with a conformal metrics. Subsequently we study the case in which these two manifolds are conformal to a $n_1$-dimensional and $n_2$-dimensional pseudo-Euclidean space, respectively. For the latter case, we prove the existence of a family of solutions that are invariant under the action of a $(n_1-1)$-dimensional group of transformations to the case of positive constant Ricci curvature ($λ>0$).

Existence and Nonexistence of Warped Product Submanifolds of Almost Contact Manifolds

This paper has two goals; the first is to generalize results for the existence and nonexistence of warped product submanifolds of almost contact manifolds, accordingly a self-contained reference of such submanifolds is offered to save efforts of potential research. Most of the results of this paper are general and decisive enough to generalize both discovered and not discovered results. Moreover, a discrete example of contact CR-warped product submanifold in Kenmotsu manifold is constructed. For further research direction, we addressed a couple of open problems arose from the results of this paper.

Biasing the ferronematic - a new way to detect weak magnetic field

Magnetic properties of a ferronematic, i.e., nematic liquid crystal doped with magnetic nanoparticles in low volume concentration are studied, with the focus on the ac magnetic susceptibility. A weak dc bias magnetic field (units of Oe) applied to the ferronematic in its isotropic phase increases the ac magnetic susceptibility considerably. Passage of the isotropic-to-nematic phase transition resets this enhancement irreversibly (unless the dc bias field is applied again in the isotropic phase). These experimental findings pave a way to application possibilities, such as low magnetic field sensors, or basic logical elements for information storage.

Electronic Properties of Carbon Nanostructures

The carbon nanostructures are perspective materials for the future applications. This has two reasons: first, the hexagonal atomic structure which enables a high molecular variability by placing different kinds of the defects and second, good electronic properties which can be modified for the purpose of the concrete applications with the help of the defects and of the chemical ingredients. A lot of kinds of the nanostructures was investigated. Here, the properties of less common forms will be examined - the graphitic nanocone and graphitic wormhole.

Emergence of F(R) gravity-analogue due to defects in graphene

We show that the defects of graphene, which lead to the non-equality between positive curvature of fermions with anti-parallel spins and negative curvature of fermions with parallel spins, imply an emergence of F(R) gravity. By increasing the number of atoms at each defect, the order of scalar curvature increases and the shape of F(R) gravity changes. This gravity has a direct relation with energy-momentum tensor and leads to motion of electrons in a special path and hence producing superconductivity. Also, for some special angles, parallel spins become close to each other and repel to each other. In that condition, the shape of F(R) gravity changes and electrons can't continue to move in an initial path and return. Consequently, superconductivity disappears and one new conductivity appears in opposite direction.

Emergence of the world with Lie-N-algebra and M-dimensions from nothing

In this paper, we propose a new model in Lie-N-algebra that removes big bang singularity and produces the world with all it's objects and dimensions from nothing. We name this theory as G-theory. In this model, first, two types of energies with opposite signs are produced from nothing such as the sum over them be zero. They create two types of branes with opposite quantum numbers which interact with each other by exchanging bosonic tensor fields like graviton and compact. By compacting branes, fermionic tensor fields are emerged which some of them play the role of the gravitinos. Also, some dimensions take extra (i) factors, their properties become different and they behave like time dimensions. Gravitons and gravitinos create two types of wormholes which lead to the oscillation of branes between expansion and contracting branches. These wormholes produce a repulsive gravity in compacted branes and cause that their particles get away from each other and expansion branch begin. Also, they create an attractive gravity in opening branes and lead to closing their particles and starting the contraction epoch. Our universe is born on one of these branes and oscillates between contraction and expansion branch.

Green Function Approach for Calculation of the Local Density of States in the Graphitic Nanocone

Graphene and other nanostructures belong to the center of interest of today's physics research. The local density of states of the graphitic nanocone influenced by the spin-orbit interaction was calculated. Numerical calculations and the Green function approach were used to solve this problem. It was proven in the second case that the second order pproximation is not sufficient for this purpose.

Using String Invariants for Prediction Searching for Optimal Parameters

We have developed a novel prediction method based on string invariants. The method does not require learning but a small set of parameters must be set to achieve optimal performance. We have implemented an evolutionary algorithm for the parametric optimization. We have tested the performance of the method on artificial and real world data and compared the performance to statistical methods and to a number of artificial intelligence methods. We have used data and the results of a prediction competition as a benchmark. The results show that the method performs well in single step prediction but the methods performance for multiple step prediction needs to be improved. The method works well for a wide range of parameters.

Electronic states of zigzag graphene nanoribbons with edges reconstructed with topological defects

The energy spectrum and electronic density of states (DOS) of zigzag graphene nanoribbons with edges reconstructed with topological defects are investigated within the tight-binding method. In case of the Stone-Wales zz (57) edge the low-energy spectrum is markedly changed in comparison to the pristine zz edge. We found that the electronic DOS at the Fermi level is different from zero at any width of graphene nanoribbons. In contrast, for ribbons with heptagons only at one side and pentagons at another one the energy gap at the Fermi level is open and the DOS is equal to zero. The reason is the influence of uncompensated topological charges on the localized edge states, which are topological in nature. This behavior is similar to that found for the structured external electric potentials along the edges.

The string prediction models as an invariants of time series in forex market

In this paper we apply a new approach of the string theory to the real financial market. It is direct extension and application of the work [1] into prediction of prices. The models are constructed with an idea of prediction models based on the string invariants (PMBSI). The performance of PMBSI is compared to support vector machines (SVM) and artificial neural networks (ANN) on an artificial and a financial time series. Brief overview of the results and analysis is given. The first model is based on the correlation function as invariant and the second one is an application based on the deviations from the closed string/pattern form (PMBCS). We found the difference between these two approaches. The first model cannot predict the behavior of the forex market with good efficiency in comparison with the second one which is, in addition, able to make relevant profit per year.
