Simple random walk on Z^2 perturbed on the axis (renewal case)

We study a simple random walk on Z^2 with constraints on the axis. Motivation comes from physics when particles (a gas for example, see [Dal88]) are submitted to a local field. In our case we assume that the particle evolves freely in the cones but when touching the axis a force pushes it back progressively to the origin. The main result proves that this force can be parametrized in such a way that a renewal structure appears in the trajectory of the random walk. This implies the existence of an ergodic result for the parts of the trajectory restricted to the axis.

Diseases transmission in a z-ary tree

We extend some results of Itai Benjamini and Yuri Lima (see \href{http://arxiv.org/pdf/1305.2610.pdf}{\cite{Benjamini}}). In this paper they consider a binary tree $\mathbb T_n$ of height $n$, each leaf is either infected by one of $k$ diseases or not infected at all. In other words, $x$ at generation $n$ is infected by the $i$-th infection with probability $p_i$ and sane with $p_{k+1}$. Moreover the infections are independently distributed for each leaf. Infections spread along the tree based on specific rules. In their paper they study the limit distribution of the root of $\mathbb T_n$ as $n$ goes to infinity. Here we want to study the more general case of a Galton-Watson tree and a $z$-ary tree.

Spread of visited sites of a random walk along the generations of a branching process

In this paper we consider a null recurrent random walk in random environment on a super-critical Galton-Watson tree. We consider the case where the log-Laplace transform $ψ$ of the branching process satisfies $ψ(1)=ψ'(1)=0$ for which G. Faraud, Y. Hu and Z. Shi in \cite{HuShi10b} show that, with probability one, the largest generation visited by the walk, until the instant $n$, is of the order of $(\log n)^3$. In \cite{AndreolettiDebs1} we prove that the largest generation entirely visited behaves almost surely like $\log n$ up to a constant. Here we study how the walk visits the generations $\ell=(\log n)^{1+ ζ}$, with $0 < ζ<2$. We obtain results in probability giving the asymptotic logarithmic behavior of the number of visited sites at a given generation. We prove that there is a phase transition at generation $(\log n)^2$ for the mean of visited sites until $n$ returns to the root. Also we show that the visited sites spread all over the tree until generation $\ell$.

The number of generations entirely visited for recurrent random walks on random environment

In this paper we are interested in a random walk in a random environment on a super-critical Galton-Watson tree. We focus on the recurrent cases already studied by Y. Hu and Z. Shi and G. Faraud. We prove that the largest generation entirely visited by these walks behaves like log n and that the constant of normalization which differs from a case to another is function of the inverse of the constant of Biggins' law of large number for branching random walks.
