Isomorphism of Analytical Spectrum between Noncommutative Harmonic Oscillator and Landau Problem

The comparison of the Hamiltonians of the noncommutative isotropic harmonic oscillator and Landau problem are analysed to study the specific conditions under which these two models are indistinguishable. The energy eigenvalues and eigenstates of Landau problem in symmetric and two Landau gauges are evaluated analytically. The Hamiltonian of a noncommutative isotropic harmonic oscillator is found by using Bopp's shift in commutative coordinate space. The result shows that the two systems are isomorphic up to the similar values of $n_{r}$ and $m_{l}$ and $qB = eB > 0$ for both gauge choices. However, there is an additional requirement for Landau gauge where the noncommutative oscillator has to lose one spatial degree of freedom. It also needs to be parametrized by a factor $ζ$ for their Hamiltonians to be consistent with each other. The wavefunctions and probability density functions are then plotted and the behaviour that emerges is explained. Finally, the effects of noncommutativity or magnetic field on the eigenstates and their probability distribution of the isomorphic system are shown.

Representation of $\mathfrak{su}(8)$ in Pauli Basis

Quantum computation started to become significant field of studies as it hold great promising towards the upgrade of our current computational power. Studying the evolution of quantum states serves as a good fundamental in understanding quantum information which lead to quantum computation. This was assisted with the respective mathematical tools such as Lie group and Lie algebra. In this study, the Lie algebra of $\mathfrak{su}(8)$ is represented in tensor product between three Pauli matrices. This is done by constructing the generalized Gell-Mann matrices and compared to the Pauli basis. This study will explicitly shows the one-to-one correlation of Gell-Mann matrices with the Pauli basis resembled change of coordinates. This is particularly useful when dealing with quantum circuit problems.

Deformed Complex Hermite Polynomials

We study a class of bivariate deformed Hermite polynomials and some of their properties using classical analytic techniques and the Wigner map. We also prove the positivity of certain determinants formed by the deformed polynomials. Along the way we also work out some additional properties of the (undeformed) complex Hermite polynomials and their relationships to the standard Hermite polynomials (of a single real variable).
